  1. :baseball_mitt: GEt a big long steel pipe and stick it over one of the subframe ears, have a friend weight the bike down, then you can push the pipe around and get ti bent back to whaterever you want. On a different note, I would be hesitant to add heat to the equation. It could potentially weaken the frame evean more in the area that you are working on.
  2. Linky no worky. :baseball_mitt:
  3. This thread started out being amusing, went to retarded, and has come back blah. It's amazing how racing fans interpret their favorite genres. This could definitely be an advertisement for the cause of racing being about advertising rather than sport. :baseball_wassat:
  4. Weird. I work with both of them and I did not know that. I agree that it really doesn't matter for this discussion. :baseball_innocent: You're right about slipping the clutch(s). The speed difference you speak of is all down to track specific gearing. :baseball_mitt:
  5. Where are you located?
  6. That's not a good comparison. Come on now, there actually isn't that much difference between a Champ Car, an IRL, and an F1 car these days. The closest thing you'll find to a 1/4 mile test is the split time from the BAR Honda that is set up for the land speed record, and the Ferrari that is set up for basically the same thing. As a point of fact the open wheel cars that we're talking about have a very near equal weight bias, they don't transfer much weight under acceleration, and they have very high ratio first gears (compared to most things). If you tossed out a CF of .9 for the rear tires, assumed no wheel spin, then an IRL car could do an 8.37 second quater mile, mathematically, of course. :baseball_w00t:
  7. Exactly. :baseball_innocent:

    Adios!

I think it will be more of a time issue than a money issue. Then of course there is the matter of getting it to run right. :baseball_innocent:

    Adios!

Y eah I scrounged up some extra money over the last few weeks for the Sand Sport Show and I wound up not buying anything there except for a flag. Instead I wound up well on my way to building a triple. :baseball_bat:
  10. You and I are running the same version of Craptia. I'll see if I can actually find the part files when I get home. It's going to be a late one tonight. By the way, I don't care if you jack the design, it's not like I have ever made any money off this stuff, it was all for my own entertainment. I just didn't want some homo using my file with a shit post to create a piled up mill. :baseball_santa:
  11. Definitely some of those people from the 909 need to go through some sort of application process before they are allowed to wear clothing out of the house. All I bought was a flag. I decided to save a couple more duckets so I can buy everything for my triple all at once. :baseball_mitt:
  12. I'm sure they are listed in the K&N catalog. You can either order them online or from a K&N dealer. :baseball_mitt:
  13. A fadal is probably running a Fanuc control as well. I guess the one question that I didn't and needed to was to make sure that we are talking about a 3 axis vertical mill. I went back through my programs for stator covers, and even though I made a couple on a vertical mill, I seem to nly have the Catia files for a 5 axis machine. I am ab it nevous handing out CAM files since takes alot of skill and training to be any good with it and I would hate to have anyone blame me for them knocking there machine. :baseball_santa:
  14. How much do they weigh? (A comparison to some other wheel is acceptable) :baseball_innocent:
  15. You might want to ask that question over on Planet Sand.
  16. Yeah you're right. I 'm retarded to the point where I can't type nor remember things correctly. :baseball_bat:
  17. It was alright, much larger than last year. I can't decide if I want to do again today or if I can wait until tomorrow. DuneDemon's name is Blaine (sp?) if anyone is dropping by the Custom Creations booth. :baseball_mitt:
  18. I need to know what release of Catia that you are using since they are not backwards compatible. Catia uses *.prt, *.asm, etc. files. I have never heard of a *.spx file. :baseball_mitt:
  19. Saturday is now the only day that I might not be going.................... :baseball_innocent:
  20. What version of Catia are you using? That might make a difference which cover file you get from me................... :baseball_w00t:

    Adios!

That's awesome! I thought my eveyother Friday off schedule was good.

    Adios!

I'm pretty sure I went to work today, god dammit. Instead of going to the dunes, I had to sit in my office dreaming of a triple that I might like to purchase at the show tomorrow. :baseball_mitt:
  23. I learned something new today. Thanks! :baseball_original:
  24. Do you know a good turd collector? I have one that's all studded out with corn, I might sell for the right price. It has to be more than I have into it though. :baseball_santa:
  25. :baseball_santa: Here's the deal, the Milltronics machine has a control that emulates a Fanuc. My side sover program are written for a Siemens 840D control. I doubt you would even understand whats going on inside the program. I'd send you the CAM file but I did the programs in Catia and UG, so you couldn't open them. Sorry I can't be the most help right off the bat. I can tell you to watch the foam, it likes to get on the mchine's ways which eventually makes the machine angry.
