i heard about some one that did it a long time ago. i heard it flew. but i would rather get a old dirt bike and just ride that. has to be a fairly big engine though or you will blow it. + it has no gears so the most fun you will get out of it is building it.

im gonna advance my timing +3 or +4 i lightend my flywheel. and am shaving the head .025 currently have stock carbs fmf fattys tors removed and i think .04 over bore. i currently have 260 mains and i thnk 25 pilots. how will these new mods affect the jetting and how main sizes will i have to go up? some one on here seemed to think that those mods shouldnt require rejeting but it says on the FAQ that advanced timming needs to be jetted for. thanks

for 1500 you can get a pretty good 87 with lots of parts on it. in some places where a bike is worth 2500 it might be worth 1500 somewhere else. depends on where you live. are you gonna sell that blaster? could get a few bucks there too.

im doing some mods and i dont know if they will affect the jetting. im getting +4 timing, head milled .025, and one size up on a bore. any idea how much this will affect jetting?

are these stock pistons?

i was taking a close look at the pistons to see if i could see a number on them but didnt see any. what i did find is that both pistons move side to side a little bit. is this normL? is it possable i can just get new rings to fit the cylinder instead of boring it out and stuff?

yes replace all of them, you might as well do it right. you could end up worping the head and then youll be sorry.

oh yeah, happy 4th of july. party is under way. you know last night i was watching the fireworks. kinda shitted. and i realized what fire works really mean. the guy next to me always lights them off 1\2 hour before dusk. didnt now why, i would rather waite till it got dark. then i realized that he probably lights them off early because the war went on "into" the night. so that gave me a different perspective on the meaning of firworks. when i was a kid they were just "kool".

did you know that you can get a head ake in the morning from drinking? do you know why? its because when you drink all the carbs eat up all the the water in your body so you get really dehydrated. if you drink about a half gallon of water before you go to bed then you wont wake up with a hangover. if you have a head ake its not the asprin that will make you better (unless the dehydration has gone too far unnoticed with out drinking water.) just a tip for ya. when im drinking about every 3rd beer or so ill have a glass of water. and for you people that think it will sober you up, it dont. it just gives your cells more elasticity. took me 18 years to find that info out. boy do i hate waking up in the morning with out drinking my water before hand. i have been taking the bike apart this weekend and straitend out the rear frame. took forever too. i just took the head off and the timing plate for some modifications. first off the guy i bought the bike from said there was wiseco pistons in there. i dont have a micrometer with me so i dont even know the bore. i took some picts i will post on tuesday(this computer dont have the software). they look good but it dont say wiseco on them. it has some numbers though "C00E4". he said it had "a" wiseco piston on the left side. but they are the same pistons for sure. ill get pictures as soon as i can to show ya. i really dont care if there stock pistons. actually i would rather be on the stock bore. the compression was 125 @ 500 ft. with stock everthing else. also does boring the cylinders change the compression? about the head, how do you know if it has been shaved already? its off a 99 and the gasket looked like it was bran new. just came right off with out a problem and ill be reusing it. cought 3 small mouth this weekend. 4 lb test line, feels like you really got something. LOL im heading out fishing now. happy reunion, gonna watch some more fireworks tonight.

there are spark pugs called BR9ES they supose to run cooler than BR8ES. give that a try. dont have a clue how it will affect performance though
