true. but they arent using a PC oven. they are using an oxy/acetylene torch. the oxy torch burns like 10 times hotter than that oven.

here in oklahoma you can get a motorcycle lisence at 14. the restriction being that the bike's displacment is limited to 250cc. so if i was fourteen and got one of those for my b-day id be fuckin stoked. anyways, thats the reason the 250's are so lame to older people. not sure about the 500's, maybe they are just lazy.

no joke, im always down to make my own shit. maybe its cause i can weld pretty well and have access to a bender though? stock is cheap, i bought a stick of 1" for like 10 bucks the other day. not 4130, but neither is the frame, so whos gives a shit. do it man, then do two or three more to get it down right.

i think the axle can wait. but it adds stability. by reworked rear, i mean having your rear shock revalved and resprung for your weight and suspension setup. its really quite reasonable, you should look into it. waaaay cheaper than a new one for sure.

you sound pretty much ready if you ask me. two things though. do you have an axle to match the front track width? and do you have a reworked rear? two semi valuable investments. the rest is gold.

i think amp links are hit or miss. either you love it or you hate it, so ive heard sincei havemnt owned one. but if youve got the money, a -1 or -2 swingarm is the shit for traction and handling.
