  1. I'm no dragger or crotch rocket rider but in an 1/8 mile wouldn't he have shifted past 2nd? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I think he was just messing with you and knew he could pull you at the finish line so he kept it close. Honestly with your mods I don't think you have much of a drag racer
  2. The problem with asking for perfect jetting is that most of the time no two Banshees will jet exactly the same even with the same mods. I've told you before that you won't foul plugs and melt pistons as long as your jetted reasonably close, spot on is hard to get. Jetting is not that hard and you can read the jetting FAQ for all the help you'll need, everybody will gladly help here too if you have questions. But until you actually get a Banshee it's going to be very hard to help you jet it.
  3. It's amazing everbody was starting to understand everything up to post #31. Then it seems as though all hell broke loose again. Did anybody see the dyno Banchetta posted in this thread http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37689 there is still a dip but it looks very minimal. Take into consideration that it is not ported or a stroker. Thinking out loud - I've been thinking about these charts for awhile now. I think the dip comes from the lag of the fuel flow trying to catch up to the engine when it hits the powerband. I think this "lag" is increased with the stroker because of it's greater thirst for fuel. If somebody has some skills with electronics and programming I think it could be eliminated if you had basically a fuel injection system working with the carburator kind of like a NOS system but for fuel where it can read the change in rpm and give a supplemental shot of fuel when needed to compensate for the carb playing catch up. Maybe just fuel injection would be the answer, I don't know. Any thoughts?
  4. I mix 80-1, for LOTS of reasons.....
  5. about 10...oh didn't read the first post. What an ass Heck I'd send him a division 4 shirt if he'd send me a video of him doing a backflip on his banshee. If he'd pull the double i'd send him 2.
  6. I have to agree with Loco on this one, every dyno sheet is going to start climbing as you start giving it gas some but the significant power seems to be waiting until you hit 6000 to 6500 unlike the sheet STCLARK posted in the other thread, it still has a dip but it's minimal and shifted forward in the curve.
  7. I slap on my paddlemasters every now and then and they still look about new (new tire nubs worn off but paddles are fine), they work well in sand but I bought them for snow. I also have taken them out in the mud and run them down a gravel road to get to where I was riding. They are built for more general riding than a dune paddle.
  8. And the table is turned.
  9. Merry Christmas to all. Hope "Santa" is riding in a Yamaha sleigh this year and delivering alot of Banshee stuff to the HQ'ers.
  10. When you do see it tell us if you know him or not.
  11. I admit I haven't ridden 450 let alone jumped one but from riding my Banshee and sitting on a yfz on the showroom floor I disagree with the ergonomics I really disliked the 450. If I had the opportunity to ride the 450 I might think otherwise. My banshee with the arms, shortened swinger and Elkas fits me and my riding perfectly, so I say keep the shee.
  12. That hill looks like alot of fun. Looked like he almost didn't land it though. Unfortunately since it's on with the backflip I don't think it'll get the credit it deserves. Since you're a local do you know the genious that rolls down the hill? Bansheefreestyler is going to have to shoot for the first double backflip.
  13. Looked it up for you
  14. I looked up Grundle in the Urban Dictionary for you. I think the last one is probably what he's getting at.
  15. While you have the torch out you might as well warm up your gas tank too. Just kidding DO NOT HEAT YOUR GAS TANK WITH A TORCH unless you wish to make it into the darwin awards. http://www.darwinawards.com/
  16. I think you mean jetting. If you don't rejet you'll run lean and then you'll get to learn how to rebuild an engine.
  17. Just watched my copy of Huevos 7, I thought it was pretty good. I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't seen it yet so I'll just say bansheefreestyler good luck with the backflip.
  18. Sounds like you should be in the ballpark to me, as long as nobody can catch you you
  19. Wow, if you didn
  20. I wish I had 8K in mods in a vehicle when I was 15.
  21. I'd buy a new frame before I spent hundreds of dollars on a tap. If you could find a shop with one it'd be your easiest out.
