You really need to try both out and see what you like. Sand you can run lower and benefit because you have plenty of traction from paddles. On dirt spinning the tires doesn't get you moving as well so gear up.

Just head down to your local gun store or Walmart and look at the Remington 870 express combo. I think they are around $300 and come with a slug barrel and a regular barrel. The 870 express is a decent gun and will shoot 3" magnums or 2 3/4" depends on how hard you want it to kick.

Actually the EPA is cracking down on diesels too. The EPA has set up a Tier system that will control the NOX emission output of the engines for quite a few years this has started the elimination of mechanical diesels they will all need to be electronic. At work we were designing machines with a 500HP CAT engine that will no longer be available after Dec 31 2005 (same as banshee) and that has caused us problems because our customers want the new replacement which has a delivery of atleast 4 months on their 8 week delivery order.
