Thanks Red, Thats what I was thinking....I thought the 1 over might do something...but wasnt sure. I will be putting her together tonight and will do a compression test at that time. Then tomorrow I will take her out and warm her up. Fingers crossed...cause this was my first top end. I gotta go get the plug chop instructions....time to use um. oh and Im already familiar with a top end break-in....so thanks for the heads up. No WOT for 5 minutes....lol. Ok a whole tank should suffice. How am I sapposed to not WOT her for a whole tank. Thats gonna be tough. but will have to be done. Ok, I have a 97 shee at sea level.....running great. But I was down to 90 PSI per cyl. So it was time to redo the top. I however had to have her bored to 1 over. And since I had the top end off, I purchased a NOSS head with 21cc domes, and V-force reeds. My question is.....will I have to re-jet her? I have never been good with carbs so the last time I had her tuned by the stealer. So, Im not sure whats in her carbs now. But I want to see whats the general concensous....SINCE I DONT WANT TO RUN HER LEAN....ya know? thanks for the help. Tors removed, exposed K&N with T5's. Just added the NOSS head with 21cc, and V-Forces. Im still runnin stock carbs....but that will soon change!

Also... No K&N doesnt make a foam filter, and yes you can clean both the K&N's and the Foams. Both are real easy. But the trick is to keep um clean.

that is very tru about the K&N's...even tho I cant say for the foam. My K&N is is completely exposed to the elements and suks tons of water when it gets wet. (which is why I dont go thru water fast) I would love it if foam stops the water better. I have however read that Foam stops finner particles than K&N's.... But even after all that info....I still run a K&N....clean it after every ride...and I have never had any kind of dirt or sand in my boots.

I was having this problem on mine when I first got it....only in 4th, 5th ,6th would coolant be coming out....and at that speed you cant tell where its coming from.....and when you stop its on your pipes, hoses, radiator, and boot. I hate the stealer...so I wasnt going to take it there....so I replaced the hoses, clamps, and went so far as to replace the radiator and cap. The problem I was having was the O-Ring under the WP cover. Replaced it and hasnt happened since.

I love my WORKS Steelers.....I am 6'0, 185......And Love Getting Big Air...... Going from stock to steelers was night and day. I now have control. The steelers actually keep the rubber on the ground. I do not race....professionally.....but I do MX, Dunes, and Trail.....and I love um. I didnt have the money for the more expensive brands and these are great. Also, I had my rear rebuilt by TCS. Todd at TCS will hook you up for around 100 bones. Well worth it.

I was raised Christian......and I beleive in the Lord...... But that doesnt matter does it? Cause I still smoke and drink and have pre-marital sex. I used to steal and lie about it, hurt people and not care, and one day it started happening to me. What I do believe in is Karma..... What goes around, comes around. For all you first timers out there.....if you ever buy an axle...... Get on a really flat serface....like your kitchen floor......and roll the axle on it.... You WILL be able to see bends and wobbles.....if its bent....Dont install it! My question to Nick is......Why did it take so long for you to figure out it was bent? You should have been able to tell right when you installed it. Lifted tires and gas it.....wheels move.....axle spins.....you can see wobbles and bends without issues.....I check mine regularly. Good luck to you guys getting it "straight"....no pun intended.

BelRay HR-1 here....and lovin it. Tastes good, smells good, and lubes good. SO FAR SO GOOD. I have used BelRay for 10 years plus without incident..... I shouldnt say that....I have an '81 RM125 that blew top ends like my wife......Maybe I should have tried another oil on her. Maybe when I get her back up and running I will. She is still sitting in the corner colecting dust.

No s*%t.....leave the air in....Im gonna try that...if that sh*t blows up in my face Im gonna be pissed. Cool now we have the trick for the bead breakin. Whats the trick for getting the tire to bead? Mainly good air pressure? I use a rope....wrap it around the tire and use a long screwdriver to tighten it ..... usually works good....but sometimes it doesnt and then I have to go to the tire shop anyway.

I have a couple buddies that live with eachother....both heavy drinkers.... So last week, they are all drunk and plastered and decide to take a night ride. Rick blows a tire bout 3 miles from home.....so Rich goes to get the truck. Well on the way back, Rich has an accident (which he doesnt remember). So he makes it back home....and ends up passing out on the couch....leaving Rick out in the boonies....lol. So Rick ends up walking home.....at about 3 in the morning he gets home......tries waking up Rich but cant....and ends up leaving his quad in the bushes till the morn. Anyway, they both wake up in the morn.....Rich cant move his arm, and doesnt even remember going on a ride....much less Rick blowing his tire...then getting in wreck...then leaving his buddy out in the trees in the middle of the night in freezing cold.....lol... Im still laughin from this story..... Moral of the story.....If you gonna drink.....Drink big.....so you wont remember....then it wont matter...... Na really though....smoke weed.....dont drink....and everything will be alright......

I live in Sacramento.....bout an hour and a half east of you. There is sooooo much shit to see in san fran....but I agree....its way too crowded for me....and too many hippies and queers. Sry guys Im straight....dont like seeing guys kissin. I go there for the museums...and sightseeing. I like taking the ladies....they love um. Go down check out the water....get some lunch....visit a museum.....they have soooooo many, I doubt you could see um all in a month......just like restaurants.....Anything you could think of eating is there....and most places are open 24-7. San Fran will get you laid guaranteed. Plus the ladies there.....man, first class women.

Yes replace that O-Ring. Mine went bad after replacing the kicker gear. I had coolant spewing all over my boot and pipes in high gear only...... It was weird....didnt leak when idleing or in low gears .... but the second I went WOT.....the shit was spraying everywhere..... What I did to fix it....cause I didnt know where it was coming from...in this order.... Hoses.... clamps.... radiator.... O-Ring.....
