  1. Whats with all these people hating on the banshee's personally, i think they are all little nancies. Riding their 4-strokes like they are all the best but in reality its no funner than sitting in a nest. No reverse, no e-start, and no oil injection. so you better mix that gas, no corrections. its true, banshee's are fast this i know becasue im never the one getting past. even if your racing, just playing or fucking all you can think about is the backflip bansheefreestyler is hucking. he's the man, we all know without some elka's his suspension is gonna blow. some say the banshee sucks for trails maybe so if one cylinder fails. i love my banshee in all conditions theres nothing else i wanna ride when i go pitting. the other quads are good ones, none the less but i like my banshee best.
  2. ever since i got my bike ported, i noticed it burns gas MUCH faster. not that its a big suprise or anything. im thinking about getting an oversized gas tank. i dont want the kind that makes you remove the tank plastics. when i was bored, i was looking at used banshee's on ebay, i saw one with an oversized tank the actually streched under the seat, but it looked stock unless you saw close up pictures. i was wondering if this was just a custom piece, or if i could buy it somewhere. any input would be apreciated.
  3. damn, my cousin just did the same for his 03 raptor, blue to urban camo. i gotta see what he paid for it.
  4. that depends, how wide are these trails, you dont want to be too wide for the trails. if they are not real tight then its up to you. of course the +2+1 arms make a big diffrence, you will need to decide if you want them or not because you will need to buy them at the time becasue the shocks will be set up for your bike. the CDi box mostly just allows you to change your timing to a couple diffrent settings. i dont have alot of experience with these though. the box is really expensive, i wouldnt get it and just go the extra for the wider arms. but of course just shocks will make a diffrent too but wider is better.
  5. bizzump
  6. ok, after some research, i figured i need a 250. i will be buying paddle tires for the sand and the 125's wont be able to handle them to good from what i hear. i am looking for a decent 250 (dead or alive) it can be slightly over 500 if it is worth the extra. i am pretty much ruling out the 125's unless i find a REALLY good deal on one, like $300.
  7. the price sounds good, but i have no time to drive to indiana and i really wouldnt like to pay for shipping.
  8. I removed my air filter for maximum air flow, now my shit rips
  9. hey, im looking for an OLDER rm, yz, kx, sx, or cr 250 or 125. i am looking for an old bike for cheap. i want something $500 MAX. i will consider ANY bike in the price range. this is mostly for trails, sand, and playing on the side of the banshee. I wouldnt mind a fixer uper becasuse i need something to do in my spair time and i just got a new tool set. I am located in new jersey.
  10. a n-style graphics kit is on ebay right now, its going for 15 bucks right now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43975
  11. he probally meant rz 350, they have powervalves and was the bike the shee got its engine from. as far as i know there wasnt a rz250
  12. ya, the bike is just as good as the person building it. i wouldnt sell it, but thats just me. if you get in over your head, theres always a shop you can take it to that would be happy to take your money. from the mods in your sig, it sounds like your bike should be really reliable, nothing serious like a big bore stroker.
  13. they do supermans on dirtbikes fine with a twist so i wouldnt se it as a problem. but personally, i dont like twist becasue when i hit the brakes sometimes on my friends bike i twist the gas a little, not to mention when you fall and are trying to hold on and you just pin it
  14. if im spending 450 or so dollars, i will deffinally go an extra 100 or so bucks for the better shocks. im deffanily getting a new axel soon, +4 g-force. what brand arms have the best quality for the dollar. im on a pretty tight budget now becasue of the cash i dumped in the engine. i know quicksand has good items, so i might buy from them. the price is good too. im gonna need new brake lines and the clamps for them on the arms, right? what about if i bought the arms first, would the stock shock be useable at all with them?
  15. i have kehien 28mm pwk's on my ported bike along with the other things in my sig. i did not need new intakes or anything. the boot going from the airbox into the carb was a BITCH to get on. i like how they perform, but i cannot give individual gains because i did everything at once. i have had no problems with them and they were easy to tune. i bought them from a fellow member here for $175 shipped, i think i got a good deal. Jim from passion told me 33mm would have been alot better, so you might want to think about that.
  16. I was just wondering, if i buy a set of elka dual rates right now with my stock a-arms, would i be able to use the same shocks if i were to buy some +2 arms? im not doing any MX or racing. just sand pits and trails, do i even need the wider arms? with the grand i put into my engine, i could have gotten a pretty sweet suspension now that i think about it, but oh well. not that i regret it or anything, it hauls ass. you think there are better brands for the $450 i see them selling the elkas on ebay for? any opinions or suggestions are appreciated!
  17. i would go with the t6s if i were you. obviously your not going for full on top end because you dont want porting, so CPI's or any in frame drag pipe will make it harder for riding in trails. i had the t6s on my bike when it was stock and i loved them because they pulled hard from top to bottom. the seat of my pants tells me they make more power, and deffainly more bottom end then the t5s. if i had not got it ported, i would still have them. they sound really sweet too!! they are a really good mix of killer top end and strong bottom end.
  18. i added the number to the shitlist on my phone, he should be getting some rather unusual calls soon
  19. that dude needs a spark arrestor
  20. real nice videos recomp, i love the sound of that lt250!!
  21. haha, that sucks. might as well add my own. i was at a sand pit here in NJ and it was only my friends and 2 other riders there. it was the second time ever riding the shee, but the first time jumping it. me and my other friend, us by the way the only 2 banshee riders there, decide to go up this HUGE hill and when you get to the top it almost goes verticle. my cousin on a raptor was too scared so being the nice guy i am i let him go first, he goes up nice and just has enough speed to get to the top. me being the badass i am is in 3rd pinned at the bottom of the hill. all i can remember is just feeling like a rocket shooting up the hill. little did i know there was a guy on a dirtbike coming across the top of the hill. you could not see down the hill from the top so he had no idea i was rocketing up. now at the top i friggin lauch up about 10 feet in the air and just fly over the kid on the dirtbike. who says banshees cant fly??!! i landed real smooth too. the guy on the dirtbike and I were just like "holy shit, that was friggin awesome!!" my cousin who saw it said it looked just like a movie. the moment i saw the guy he was just about under me, it felt like it took 5 minutes for me to come down, it was one of those moments were life just slows down and your thinking how screwed you are. he got damn lucky i was on a banshee or else i would have trampled his ass with a big old heavy 4 stroke. Good times....god times
  22. i agree, when i got my cylinders back from being ported and bored, all i did was get the jetting right, then give it hell. of course i let it idle for like 6 mins the first time i started it up to be sure, but after that i went though 1-4 gears WOT down my street, no problems here!
  23. hey, what we have here is a stock pair of carbs for a banshee, they came of a 03. they have jets in them for toomey t5's ot t6's , but i will also include stock ones. it comes with the throttle cable also, every thing you see in the picture plus the jets. they were taken off because i got bigger carbs to go along with my port job. 100 shipped or BO. thanks for looking
  24. hey, what we have here is a "jaws" bumper for a banshee, i dont know what other models it will fit on, if any. it is in good condition, there a some dings and scratches, and also one of the teeth is slightly bent but thats nothing you couldnt bend back into place. as you can see in the picture, it looks great when its on. i will also throw in a set of headlight covers, im not sure what brand they are, they came with my 03 banshee when i bought it. it went for 70 on ebay but the dude never paid me, i am thinking 50 shipped or BO . thanks for looking!
  25. sure looked like it
