whats the capacity of a stock shee gas tank?
chris642 replied to joshv5.0's topic in General Banshee Discussion
he means if there is long hills turn her off and let her roll down the hills -
Is this the end of the shee!
chris642 replied to 2004LEBanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That would kick ass for sure. But Yamaha would jack up the price by like $300 i bet ya. Put some graphics on the gas tank, that would be awesome. -
my shee is to fast hahaha im so happy
chris642 replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
my jugs are on thier way home from passion, i cant wait -
techincally, locogato is the only honda trail rider around here but im not saying thats a bad thing, especailly if its a CR 500 banshee

i had rubber on my stinger pipe from one of the wire holder things by the airbox so i put a flame to it( a candle) and got a plastic card( like a credit card, but dont plan on using it again after you do this) and scraped it off. worked for me
-
i voted fo black but i think a black and blue banshee would be sweet
-
the tr6s had an alright bottom end, much better than the T5's which i have now. anyway, what are you jetting specs, the jets that came with the kit should put you right in the sweet spot, give or take a main jet.
-
you want proof, well you got it! ATV rider did a setup section, they put all CT things on it, well just the pipes a milled head and a filter.
-
they are CT midranges, this i am sure of because i have a picture of them right infront of me.

I want to start playing the guitar
chris642 replied to roosthrower's topic in General Banshee Discussion
acoustic guitars are harder to play. the strings are further away from the neck and when you mess up, everyone hears it. on an eletric, distortion can cover up some mistakes. all my friends play the guitar so i pick up things, they said if someone would want to start off, take lessons. You learn sooo much quicker that way. just pick whatever you perfer, i personally like electric. -
thanks, im gonna go witht the hide a key auction. Now that i think about it, I really shouldnt mess with the frame, especially if i ever have to sell it, not that it would ever happen i also lost one of the bolts for the gas tank and the auction comes with two allens.

hey, i want to ditch the plastic on the bars. The thing is im cheap, so is it a good idea to drill a hole in the bar that is above the carbs. you know what im talking about, right? i see that its inbetween the frame rails so i was wondering if it was dangerous to do this because maybe it supports the rails when their under stress. so do it or make my own bracket?

How many minutes it takes for the engine to blowup
chris642 replied to xt45's topic in General Banshee Discussion
well it depends, what color powerband are you running? please tell me you dont have the purple one, if so your engine will blow about 14.899 seconds after you hit the top of first. Also, what cams are you running? my no fear cams will let me rev the hell out of first. One of the biggest factors in this are your valves, did you trade the junky stock ones for platnum valves, they not only perform amazing but they add some internal bling to your engine. With those cams, valves and a rainbow powerband, you can be in first gear revving it out all day and your engine will be A-okay. Oh ya, dont forget about those silencer bearings, 46% of banshee's have defective silencer bearings, and if you have and aftermarket exhaust system, the risk increases 25%, replace them before its to late, im glad I did. -
Thanks for the replies, i am hell bent on a 2 stroke. Ill look into that KTM, but my friends dad says we should get a CR. We will be practicing in trails and fields, but i ride in alot of sand, so if i feel like riding a bike instead of a quad, i want something that I will be able to put paddles on. We also are gonna race so i dont want the 250 4 stroke. I am looking for a 96-01 bike, so is the CR still the best?
-
you guys dont think it would be too much for a beginer?
-
Hey, me and my friend want to buy a dirtbike to mess around on on trails and fields by his house. We are not sure what bike to get, either a 125 or 250, 2 stroke that is. Were both pretty new to bikes, I have some experience, not much though. would a 250 be too much, or would a 125 be better. Were also not sure what brand to get, if we were buying new, id say yz for sure since it has a 6 speed, but we are just doin this for fun, not racing and we want the most reliable of the bunch. So what should it be KX, RM, YZ, or CR?
-
Hey, im getting my clinders ported by passion racing, with this he is boring the cylinders to the next size and im getting a bigger piston. What do you guys think i should do for a break in procedure?
-
can someone post a sound clip or video of one? people say they sound awesome so i want to hear one for myself!!
-
dont bother with the boost bottle, your stock tube does just fine equalizing the pressure in both carbs. its a waste of cash that you can be spending on the air filter setup. some people says it works and some people say they actually lose performance. I dont think it would be worth it to try.

what happens if you keep ur shee compeletey stock
chris642 replied to xt45's topic in General Banshee Discussion
nothing bad will happen if you keep her stock. Well, you might get in some trouble with the stock air filter set up. -
http://www.everything2stroke.com/Movies/e2s/Toomey_Pipes.php theres one, not mine though. they sound much better in real life though, i had them but traded the for T5's because i am getting porting done soon. They are very nice looking and great performing pipe, if you dont plan on getting motor work, get them. heres a video of my banshee with the T5's, they sound much better in real life also. once you hit the powerband the sound is amazing( i like the tr6's sound best though) http://www.videodesk.net/show.aspx?user_ke...wmv&send_link=1

the tr6's are real good pipes for what they are made for, stock banshee's. I had them, but traded them for the t5's because I am getting porting done. The tr6's pull harder than the t5's bottom to top, they have great bottom end for being a high rev pipe. They sound SWEEEET, even better than the t5s, but not much better. I also love the design, its so smooth, i wish that i could have kept them, but i do whats best for performance If no one runs them where you live you will really turn some heads, THEY ARE LOUD, ASK MY NEIGHBORS!
