If it has not been rode in Four years all the fluids should be changed, brake, tranny, coolant, greese and gas. Make sure the carbs are clean and get an airfilter on it asap. Once it starts make sure you jet it.

If you splice the wires together it will have the wrong effect you do not want to close the curcit. Just unplug it or clip the wires to leave the curcit open.

Pro design also makes a kit to remove the TORS that allows you to keep the thumb throtle but you need to buy the idle screw kit also.

If you put that much oil in you are going to foul plug after plug and your shee will run like shit.

The TORS is a peice of crap that works kind of like a throtle positioning sensor. If the slides in the carbs are stuck in the open position the TORS will cut the ignition. It also serves as a rev limiter. It was put on the quad to cut the amount of Lawsuits Yammaha would get. The problem is that it is a peice of $hi+ and malfunctions half the time causing more problems than good. DITCH IT!!!!!

You must Rejet because If you do not the 2- stroke Gods will penilize you by making yoou buy a new topend. It is better to lube it good than to pound it dry.

The min and max is totally up to you. Don't go past 100:1

Ok I saw in a previous post that Meat was talking about Chain pop. Can some one tell me what exactly this is and how to cure it. the term discribes a problem I have with my shee some times.

Please understande if you are running Yamalube in you shee you are missing out. Of coures Yammaha wants you to run 28:1 of Yamalube, they are making a bundle of $$ off those of you that are using their product. The more you use the more you buy the more $$ in there pocket and the slower you go. Switch to a synthetic premix and dump the Yamalube it is garbage. Personaly I'm with Meat run Amsoil at 50:1. I've done this ever since I finished breaking the top end in back in 2000 and the Shee runs just as hard as it did brand new and the top end still looks factory.
