Wife and I went to the doctor for a check up yesterday on the baby. They had been watching her blood pressure as it had been rising over the last couple weeks. They put her on bedrest yesterday. This morning we got a call from the doctor telling us we needed to come in to the hospital and that we were going to have a baby in the next day or two. We are 5 weeks early and I am not sure what is going on. This is our first so I am a little nervous about her being early and why they now see such an immediacy to the situation. Please pray for us and Alyssa Brooke, our daughter to be. Thanks guys. RJV

I think it was ATV Rider that has a shoot out between the 700 and the 450 in this months magazine. Hit a magazine rack and see what they have to say because we all know magazines are the absolute truth when it comes to whats good and whats not. RJV

Merry Christmas- Isaiah 7:14 Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel... Isaiah 9:6 For a child willl be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His namewill be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Luke 2:7-11 And she gave birth to her first-born son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And in the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields, and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them and they were terribly frightened. And the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be fro all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 23:46 And Jesus cryouin out with a loud voice said, "Father into Thy hands I commmit my spirit." And having said this, He breathed his last. Luke 24:4-6 And it happened that while they were perplexed about this, behold two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling apparel; and the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them "Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here but He has risen. Merry Christmas everyone, take a moment to remember why we have this Holiday and who it is in honor of. God Bless- RJV

I saw Michael Sweet, the lead singer from stryper back in 1997 or 1998. Tell you what, that is one talented dude. The guy put on a 2 plus hour show, did tons of Stryper and his solo stuff. Played lead guitar as good as anyone and was just flat out entertaining. If Stryper and Chevelle make it to Portland I am going for sure. By the way, Chevelle Rocks to. RJV

They are good and the lyrics are tough, challenging and sometimes down right convicting. Good stuff. There are a ton of great Christian Rock bands out there now days. RJV

FMF FATTYS & TURBINE CORE IIs
rjvoight replied to rjvoight's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
The pipes are in great shape. No rust, no dents. They are about five years old and I bought them from a friend who switched to T5s. They are the platinum finish so in certain light they have the goldish hue. I am attaching a photo from outside in the sun so you can get a better look. There are some small scuffs near the head of the pipes where the pipe head springs rubbed and some small, small dents on the silencers that are not noticible when they are on the bike. They perform perfectly. I am switching to T6's with the Hush kit. The main reason is I like the way the toomey bend looks and the fact that th hush kit gets the dbs down even lower. Also. Friday night, 12-9-05, a friend of a friend told me he wants them and will have the money by mid week. I am going to give him the time. I will post here again on Wednesday one way or the other to let you all know they have sold. If they dont go, Midnite has got them if he still wants them by then. RJV -

Good point. I have only ridden one ported bike and it was a kick to ride. It was really an on or off bike though with no middle ground. Not impossible to ride in a group or liesurly ride around the dunes but I had to be on my toes to keep her singing (I have ridden Banshees for 3 years now and grew up on 2-stroke MX bikes, still race an 02 KX250, I know the nature of the bikes and they dont "put"around but the ported bike was a handful). The port job was done by Redline Racing, a reputable builder locally and according to the guy who let me ride his bike it was classified as a dune port. I really like the way my bike runs now. I can run with a lot of bikes, beat a good number of them and still cruise with the family and friends. Like I said initially, its not that I am unhappy with the performance of the bike. I would like a nicer looking set of pipes and the hush kit is appealling. If I get the exact same performance I will be happy . If I get better performance, I will be happier Thanks, RJV

Why T5 and not T6? Not trying to be an ass, just want to understand the difference. If you truly gain added HP with the T6 with more top end to boot, why not go with them? I have heard the T5 vs T6 arguments in the past but no one has really explained why one is better than the other or in what conditions one might be better than the other. Thanks again..... RJV

Thanks for the quick reply. My bike is relatively stock...just what I have in the sig. I debated about porting and after riding a ported bike decided against it. Just not right for the type of riding I like to do. I am done with engine mods. With my set up, would the T6 pipes perform worse than the Fattys? RJV

Ok, before I get yelled at for posting something that has been posted a hundred times, I just spent an hour going through old threads 'bout this. Most of them were fairly short threads and only partially answered my questions. So please bear with me a little bit on this. First I am running FMF Fatty's now. I have no complaints. The Banshee is a dune machine for me and nothing else. I am a "general" rider. I love hill climbs, I drag race a little, love trail riding and just screamin across the open dunes. I love dropping into steep hills with no run and screaming out. Now question 1: Can someone put into words the difference between Toomey T5 and T6 pipes? Toomey is claiming an 8hp gain in low and mid range power and 5hp gain on top from T5 to T6. This seems like a little bit of a stretch to me. (my source is the add in Rocky Mountain for Toomey TR6 pipes). Does the delivery feel much different between the two pipes? Question 2 : If the claim by Toomey is accurate would the T6 be the best of both worlds? With the 8hp gain on the low to mid would it feel more like the Fatty pipes? And with the additional 5hp on top would it not be as good as the T5 series only better? Finally, what does the Hush Kit do to power in the real world? Does it make much of a difference? Two reasons I am asking. 1, I have platinum Fatty's now. They are in great shape but pale in comparison to chrome. I want to replace them purely based on looks. 2, I am tired of the noise issue with Law Enforcement. The Fatty's are not bad, especially with the turbine core II silencers, but they are still over the limit for the Oregon Dunes and I just dont want to have to deal with it. The Hush Kit would take care of that problem. Thanks for your time guys, RJV

Very cool, wish I had one, I hear they are great for parties How do you get the big pictures to load? I am always told i have exceeded my limit or something like that. Nice set up!! RJV
-
Run it in my shee, going to start running it in the raptor and the KX250. It is good stuff. RJV

You nailed it. Here in Oregon we have the Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer. I have not had a single pleasant run in with any of them and I have never even been cited. In my experiances they have been hard ass, arogant, pushy and flat out rude. The county deputies that patrol the dunes as well have all been pretty decent. They dont seem to have the attitude and they focus on the trouble makers. If you are running a bike that is a little loud but are not making an ass out of yourself they are going to go on by and look for the drunk, or the guy riding with his head up his ass or out of bounds. I love the Banshee, and it is a great dune machine. I think for play riding it is a lot better and a lot more competative than the magazines for sure and most people give it credit for. Your right about racing on the trails CEJ. Common sense has to rule. You need to know where you are and who is around. When I say mini, I mean mini. A small area that is open and visible for the most part ( cant see if you drop into the trees). The last thing anybody wants is 2,3, 4 or more Jack Asses racing around on the open dunes or blind cornered trails smashing into innocent riders. I used the word "race" really loosley. Couple guys and gals riding, plot a make shift course on the fly, burn two or three "laps" and move on. I stress this is for fun! No one is winning a championship or millions of dollars. No alcohol or drugs. Clear heads and short periods of time, not hour upon hour. I would not tell anyone to go out on the dunes and just race all out with no consideration from one end to the other. If you do then you will end up hurt for sure. I don't want people to think that is how I or my group rides. On the dunes its all for fun. This post was just a bit of a rant on my part because I was tired of reading about "I just ran a drag race against a YFZ/TRX/Z400/RAPTOR/PREDATOR/CANNONDALE and smoked/got smoked, what should I do?????" Anyway ride safe and to quote another BHQ Member, " I ride... Just ride... nothing but ride.... ride... ride..." RJV

DRAG RACE, DRAG RACE, DRAG RACE, DRAG RACE (I am not yelling ) Does anybody else "race" the banshee in anything other than a drag race? I know the shee is not a mx racer but as a dune bike it is really competative. I have drag raced and hill climbed with mine and had moderate success against a variety of rides. The group I ride with also sets up small "mini-moto / mini-enduro" races on the dunes. I have had moderate success there as well. I know its for fun but the rides get pretty darn competative. I put my shee up against Raptors, YFZ's, TRX's, 250Rs, ATC250r's blasters, 400EX's and anything else that rolls into camp and we win all the time. I've nver seen a post that says "like, I was riding against a bunch of my buddies on this whooped out trail with high banks and a bunch of switch backs that opens into a wide open flat, drops into a series of tree shots, then up a dune and off a bunch of 4' knive edges. I was doing really well except for the switchbacks, any advice on how to get through those quicker?" Just curious, the banshee is so much more than a drag bike. Sorry bout the rant.....but I feel better!! RJV
