Well, when Seattle kept Pits from getting a single first down in the first quarter I was feeling pretty good. When the refs stole our Touchdown away I was a little miffed. Then we had a series of mistakes, great passes just out of bounds, a bad holding call, a good holding call and a touchdown by Big Ben that never made it into the end zone......It was a long day. RJV

Let us know what your symptoms are. My bike is set for sea level at the oregon coast and has been to glamis with the same set up in the fall (October weather) with no problems. I am running : 310 main 27.5 pilot Stock needle/clip. K&N with no airbox lid. RJV

If Randy had just gone to the ground when he started to slip it may have gone a little longer, even if he missed Chuck. If you watch the replay, Chuck tags Randy as he is coming back up from the slip. RJV

If I was looking for a true MX Quad, it is likely that LTR would be the machine I would buy. And I have always been very anti Suzuki. I think Suzuki has come around. They have guys like DeCoster and Rick Johnson managing teams. They have riders like Gust, Jones, Carmichael and now Tedesco. Not to mention Broc Hepler and a host of other up and comers. And dont forget Pastrana and Tortelli. The machines are top notch across the board. Now, with all of that said.....Take me to the dunes on a mildly modded Banshee and maybe give it a set of elkas up front......there is no question....for people who know how to ride...ie work a clutch and jam gears, there is still no better bike for throwing sand! Crap! You cant touch a clean Banshee that is set with just paddles and pipes around here for under 4K! Must be because of the close proximity to some of the best dunes around. Next time Im looking for a bike Ill check the east coast, even with shipping it would probabally be cheaper! RJV

Will it be like the ATCs(250R) where you will pay more for a used one than you did when they were new, I dont think so. I expect to see the price stabilize around 4-5k for a clean stong running shee and never really drop below that. Time will tell. It doesn't really matter though cause I will never sell mine. I may add a thumper for MX if I ever decide to give up the motorcycle racing, but the Banshee won't be sold. RJV

Then I was up close and personal at a show, gave me a whole new respect for those guys. Watching it on TV just does not do it justice. Seeing 6 bikes jumping at the same time in opposite directions doing Kiss of deaths and whips that are basically upside down live is flat out impressive. Ive been riding/racing since I was three and I cant do a fraction of the stuff those guys put on. I tip my visor to those guys. RJV

Wow. I keep my paddles lined up for two reasons. First, when they are staggered and I am running slow with the kids out on the flats or the beach, it vibrates and bounces around so bad I think it is going to work every nut, bolt and screw out of the bike. Second, looks. It drives me nuts when they are not lined up! As for performance, I imagine in a drag race it would make a difference on high end of competition. Wheelies, I would bet that the pull, one way or the other has to do with a slight grade in the sand more than the paddles being misaligned. Each tire is going to offset the other, its not like you are running one tire with 10 paddles and one with 8. As for all around riding, hill shots, trails, jumps etc. I never noticed any disadvantage. Just my observations. RJV

With your mods, 20x10x10 8 paddles, maybe 9s but I would not go 10s. just my 2cents. There is a thread that talks more about on the Sand Forums page, Skat Track Haulers, bout 1/3rd down the page as of now. It explains the whys a little bit. RJV

No. For 2K you can find other rigs, maybe an older 4WD that has matching body parts and less miles and a radiator hose that does not need a bungee to hold it away from the fan (im guessing). Just my 2cents. But you know the truck and the history more than I. RJV

Ok, Ill give you an ancient piece of equipment with some bean bag rounds that have a range of about 20yds at best. Then I will run into a school, use a hand gun to take some kids hostage in a closet. Then when you get there I will start running around in the school threatening kids and teachers. Now I want you to come in and get me. What you dont know is that I am wearing kevlar under my gangbanger baggy shirt. Shinguards, knee protection and mx style protective racing shorts under my pants that normally would fall off my ass. Also I have stashed my dad 308 at the end of one of the 100yd halls so that if I get far enough ahead of you I can take you out. And in the bathroom where I get shot, I will have switched to a mac 10 one of my older brothers buddies had picked up. When your bean bag round has no effect on me cause of the gear I am wearin and the adrenaline dump I have because I am going to kill a cop, Ill kill you . The cop did his job and he did it right. He found the potential shooter and eliminated the threat. Next time there is a school incident why dont you go after the kid and see if you can tell if he has a pellet gun/squirtgun/real gun. I hope for your sake it is a toy because otherwise, you and who knows how many other people will die. RJV

Congrats on the bike. My little brother is going to be picking up an 06 in a month or two (just bought a house,waiting for the dust to settle on that). He has the YFZ 450 and just wants to mix it up. I love the Banshee and think it is hands down the best bike for the sand, but you give yourself a lot more options with the 450. You may even be the next Tracy Cecco! Have fun with it!! RJV

First of all, you guys are awesome! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers and encouraging words. All is well, mom is fine and baby is perfect. They are treating her as "normal" with no probs so far. She came early because of moms blood pressure and some other issues. Come to find out as she was delivered the cord was wrapped around her neck twice! If she had gone much longer we would have had some major problems. As it is, God is perfect in his knowledge and sent her to us a little early.
