  1. First, Brooke, Good for you! Having your own business is the only way to go in todays society. The fact that you see that and are going to give it a run says a ton about who you are! Unlike 98% of the rest of society who are willing to go work for someone else and collect a pay check all the while their family grows up while they are putting in their 40+ hours. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that money will soon be working for you instead of you working for your money. I am sure Duece knows a little about that as well. And I am learning it as I go. QuadRacer........who are you again? I'm not going to knock you or anything but that was a pretty low blow. If HD wanted to find it on his own fine and the other reasoning you gave is pretty much garbage. Not sure what you are trying to gain by posting the way you did. If anything you should be sending brooke PM's asking how she has gotten her business going and how she is doing and how you could build and run your own business.......unless of course you may already be some super internet business savvy superstar......but as for now you are a new guy with 70 posts who claims to be a "QuadRacer". RJV
  2. Has anyone been watching what is going on with Isreal? I know most people won't recognize the significance of all that but some of you may. Interesting stuff. RJV
  3. Happy B-Day Brooke, granted I am late........its been busy. I hope you were able to have some fun! RJV
  4. I've been around for a while and have seen Brooke cover tons of different topics. What I find interesting is that whenever she voices her opinion and stands her ground on it people like to go off on her. Basically, most of those people simply can't handle a chick who can stand her own ground and not back down on what she believes. I don't always agree with her but that is irrelavant. I respect her for the simple fact that she does not back down. I respect her conviction and ability to logically argue her points. I don't know Brooke personally, have never met her and most likely never will. I don't chat with her online and have absolutely nothing to gain by standing behind her on this thread. I expect if anything I will get blasted and called a suck up and more.....maybe even by her :baseball_bat: Personally, I enjoy having her around and look forward to her responses. RJV
  5. I still love mine. No problems, no blueing, just great performance across the board. I did have to do some jetting adjustments, Im at 290 mains now and that seems to be the ticket. (I started at 310). Unless you are going to go to a drag bike, I would most definately consider the TR6 pipes. RJV
  6. I totally agree with everyone that Bubba is the man to beat next year. Unfortunately, he was never able to dethrone RC in the two seasons they raced together (RC is retiring after this season). He made it a show for sure, but just could not hold a pace that was faster than RC without falling. I really think Tedesco has a shot to come up and run. I know he is a dark horse, but he has shown some serious speed in the past and I think with Suzuki behind him, RC, Rick Johnson, Decoster and everyone else, he could be a very serious threat! I love MX, I wish I had the time and money to devote to the sport like I want to! RJV
  7. I am a long time MX fan, back to the days of Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, Bob Hannah etc. I have watched with great anticipation over the last few years with the likes of Bubba and Chad Reed and Kevin Windham wondering who was going to take Carmichael off his throne. I have come to one conclusion, NOBODY but RC himself is going to make him step down. All the Stewart believers, you are right, he is the future of MX. But he will never be able to say he dethroned RC. It does not matter if you are a second faster over all if you crash out. RC knows where that ragged edge is and he lives there, in comfort. Bubba has tried to set up shop there as well but always gets ahead of himself. Next year, Stewart will have the bullseye on his back and he better watch out for a yound Davi Millsaps and a healthy Ivan Tedesco! I know there are some MX fans on here, what do you guys think? Who is up and coming? RJV
  8. Toomey TR6 : Do a search, you will find lots of opionions on this topic and these pipes. Rocky Mountain ATV. rockymountainatv.com
  9. One common thing I have seen come up over and over is the statement that the Bible was written by men. If in fact it were written by just men I would agree with HD and everyone else. If the Bible was written by a bunch of guys sitting around with nothing else to do, I and everyone else would be fools to even consider following it. It would be just as HD says, a bunch of stories and junk. And HD, you think its hard to understand now it would be a complete cluster if what you and others believe were true......but it's not. A fundamental belief for Christians is that the Bible is the actual word of God himself. The Bible itself makes this claim. Since the Bible is a collection of the actual thoughts and words of God himself then it is flawless and correct in every aspect. The Bible consists of 66 books written by 40 different people over a 2000 year period. Most of those men never new eachother. Yet the Bible, from Genesis to Revalation has one theme, Jesus Christ. Even the Old Testament books that HD likes to hammer on to try and make his point are full of images of Jesus. If the Bible was written by just a bunch radicals for their time, there is no way the books in the Bible would be able to dove tail together so flawlessly. The reason everything ties together is because God Himself wrote the book. It truly has only one writer. More food for thought and discussion. RJV
  10. If by reading, study, and analyze you mean pick out some passages here and there then I believe you. If by reading, study and analyze you mean you have read the entire bible front to back, studied it, analyzed it and understand it then the I don't believe you. RJV
  11. What are you talking about? Did I say it did not say God said to kill Achan? No I told you why Achan was killed and I used the Bible to do it. Then I tried to explain why a God of Love would allow a person who sinned directly against him to die. And then I even mentioned that God provided Christ so that he could die for us and our sins. No, copying the entire chapter wont change anything, but if you read it with any sort of understanding of the english language you might understand what was going on. Im not saying it would change your position but you would not be posting half thoughts. It's like I said in post #804. It does not matter what I say to you or how much I try to explain. You will not listen. It would take 500 pages to explain the entire Old Testament to you and what was going on and why Israel was out conquering lands. And until you yeild to God and want to understand, it will be a pointless battle going in circles. You are AFRAID to understand. RJV
  12. First, you don't need to copy the entire book, but it might help if you read the book. Now for the first passage you pasted: The sin was disobeying a direct order from God. If you go to Joshua chapter 6:17-19: And the city shall be under the ban, it and all that is in it belongs to the Lord; only Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in the house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent, But as for you, only keep yourselves from the things under the ban lest you covet them and take some of the things under the ban, so you would make the camp of Israel accursed and bring trouble on it. But all the silver and gold and articles of bronze and iron are holy to the Lord, they shall go into the treasury of the Lord. So there it is what the people were supposed to do. Now go to Joshua 7:1-13 But the sons of Israel acted unfaithfully in regard to the things under the ban, fro Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah took some of the things under the ban, therefore the anger of the Lord burned against the sons of Israel. So history tells us that because of this, the city of Ai which should have been taken easily with 3000 soldiers whips Isreal into submission. Joshua asks God why and he is told what happened (Achan disobeyed and now Israel will not be able to succeed because of the undealt with sin. Before Christ the only way to deal with sin was death.) You pick up the story where Achan and his family are killed. After his death, Israel takes the city of Ai. A just and holy God must be consistant. He can not allow some sin one time and not allow it the next time. Christ's death changed that for all of us. The rest of your posted questions are going to be the same thing. If you go back and read the books you quote from, you will answer your own questions. I also suggest you read the New Testament as well. It will help you understand the Old Testament.... RJV
  13. Stay away from the store brand bikes. I know they look good and have name brand parts but trust me on this, THEY WILL NOT LAST! If you are just trying it out to find out if you will like the sport pick up something at a garage sale for 25 - 50 bucks and hit the trail a couple times. I can almost gurantee you will like the sport, especially if you hook up with a couple people who like to ride. Then toss the thing in the trash. Then hit the tell and sell, ebay or even your local bike shops. I would look at anything that says KONA on it. Specialized is excellent as well. Any older Schwinn, MOAB Rocket or HomeGrown model would do you well. (Any new schwinn is the same as mongoose and Diamond back, they were bought out by suncoast) Haro makes pretty good bikes as well. Personally, I ride a prebuyout Schwinn Moab 3. That bike has been abused and I still ride it every chance I get. A buddy of mine bought a Moab 1, disk brakes, higher end components shortly after and it has been the same story, bullet proof. If you are already in that 300 dollar range, wait a couple weeks and spend a little more to get something that will last. Or ebay it. RJV
  14. Or this one.......
  15. How about this entire post, from June 9th. What was not answered? And what part of my answers are out of context? RJV
  16. What in my last post makes you think I need help? Seriously, what part? What exactly makes you think that? The difference between you and me is I don't have to deal with all the crap in this world on my own. Why would I want to? I am not "disturbed". I don't need to look anymore. I have studied the real thing and can now see a counterfiet from a mile away. I have taken nothing out of context. I put it in context, it is differnt than what you want to believe so you reject it. Jail house religion is just that, religion. (Not that people in prison can't change because some do) I don't have a house full of religious stuff. I am not weak willed, I gurantee you that, ask anyone who knows me directly and most people who have been around a while here on the HQ. I have no problem giving an opion, be it Exhaust systems, tires or James Stewart vs Carmichael. Oh, and most importantly, "a book" did not save me. The Bible, the very Words of God help me to grow and understand what I am doing here. Jesus Christ saved me. When he died on a cross for my sin and then rose from the dead three days later defeating death so that I can have everlasting life, he saved me. He did it for me and he did it for YOU. There is so much that you will never be able to understand, patially because you don't want to and partially because you can't. I'm glad I am not alone. When I do what I do, I am glad to know God and his Angels are with me. I know that nothing is going to happen to me that is not part of God's plan. It really frees me up. If you can, will you cut and paste my posts that are out of context? maybe I did take something out of context. I will gladly look at what ever you think I am misunderstanding. Like I said before, God is in control, we are all here on this thread because he put us here. RJV
  17. I'm not sure what riddles you are talking about. Way back when I took each of your questions and answered them. At that time you were ok with the answers, and now you are not. I get fired up every now and then but really I don't want to just argue the same points over and over. I have made it very clear where I stand. Your questions are legit good questions. If that was all someone knew about the Bible, were those smattering of versus, it would be very confusing. You may have only known those versus when this started, but now you know what was going on, who God was talking too, why they were being talked to that way and why those things were said. And please re-read your necrophillia thing, you are totally off base on that. And even more, you now know that the "law" was put in place to teach us of our need for a saviour. My opinion is this. You simply can not accept the answers because it flat out rocks your faith. It completely takes away all of your reasons for not believing. If you accept anything that any of us say that is pro-bible or pro-God it weakens your stance, your foundation and that scares you to death. The thought that you might have been wrong all this time.....that others may have been right.......it strikes terror in you. At this point, you have no choice but to keep falling back on what you thought you knew....the same arguments even though you have to know they are off base, out of context, or just flat out wrong. You have to believe they are true and correct because that is your only option. What is sad, is that you continue to deny the slow tugging in the back of your mind, the slight what if's that surface, the occasional sinking feeling in your stomach. Your eyes are being opened and you can't stop it. You can ignore but the fact is that it is happening. Not because of me or 04 or Duece or any of the others that have tried to explain things to you. You really won't like this but the reason you are here reading this right now is because God planned it for you. Yes, you are in this conversation, asking these questions, arguing with yourself and others, making your points standing on your beliefs for one reason and one reason only. God put you here at this time, for this very reason. I don't know why or for what purpose but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is not because you just happened here by chance. It is all part of God's plan for your life. That's right, God has a plan for your life and this is just one part of it. The fact is, you can't escape God. You can ignore him 'cause that is your free will. But he is always there reaching to you. Waiting for you to acknowledge what you already know. That you were created for so much more. That you were created for excellence. That you were created for a purpose. That there is so much more to this life than going to work, playing for a little while and dieing. He will always be there. After this thread is dead, gone and forgotten by all of us.....God will still be waiting for you to come home. And when you do, regardless of all the things you have said and done, the Angels will rejoice and he will welcome you home. RJV
  18. Wow. Just about every little thing? Wow.
  19. HD, you have been given the answer. Several times. Just because you won't accept the answer does not mean it has not been provided. If someone tells you 2+2=4 you can accept it or reject it. Regardless of what you do, the fact remains the answer is 4. RJV
  20. There is no reason to ban you, the HQ would not be the same without you!
  21. Im pretty torn right now. I used to ride the local MX Track pretty regulary (KX 250). Last year I rode 2 times. I have yet to make it to the track this year the bike is just collecting dust sitting next to the Banshee and the wifes Raptor. I know if I sell it, depending on business, it would be a couple years at least before I could replace it. I used to love riding at the dunes on a bike, but with the family and friends, none of whom ride bikes, it just sucks. I am constantly fighting the bike as they put along from hill climb to hill climb. I don't know. It may be time to let it go. Its an 02. It had a rough season its first year (well, I went down several times) but I have taken good care of her and she is a low hour bike. We'll see. Oh, HD I know the topic of religion gets pretty hot. I have nothing against you personally. Just understand it is not a "religion" to me. In my opinion, religion is what man makes. Rules and regulations. Someone can have religion and have absolutely no relationship with God. I know you can't understand what I am saying. But I assure you I am not insane. There is no way for me to explain to you or anyone for that matter what it is like to be able to speak directly to God/ Jesus Christ. You got to experiance it and you don't have any desire to do that, and it is your choice. People ask, well if you are talking to him what does he say? I believe there are people who actually hear the voice of Jesus. I think they are far and few between. Most of us it gentle guideance. Subtle thought changes, circumstances that arise. So many other people say, well I prayed and got no answer. Well I would say they got an answer....the answer was no.... or not right now. Anyway take it easy, glad you had a good time riding and came back in one piece. RJV
  22. How did you do?
  23. Thanks, and i would leave no one behind.....
  24. I don't know, I thought I handle you and others contradictions pretty well. I don't call names(most of the time). I don't get angry. I simply try and post the "rest of the story". I don't intend on changing anyones mind. But I can't just sit by and let people twist the Word of God and present it in an incomplete and ignorant fashion. Choose not to believe, that is your God given choice. Choose to reject the whole thing. Even quote the Bible when it says things you disagree with. Just make sure you know what you are disagreeing to. You see, if the quotes from the Bible HD is using were complete, I would have no problem. But they are not. It is like if you were to read the first page of any novel, then the middle page and finally the last page. Yes you could say you read the book and you may be able to quote some stuff from the pages you read but it does not mean you understand the book. And one more thing, who is to say you are right and I am wrong? I am just telling people what I believe and why. I am sorry if me not wavering on my beliefs means that I have been "Mind Controlled". I assure you I am not a robot. I assure you that I struggle from time to time. But when it is all said and done, I don't struggle alone. God is with me and I am glad. I am not so proud as to think I can handle everything on my own. I am not saying people can't get by on there own. They do it everyday, everyday the world comes at them and they just suck it up and make it through. The thing about me though, I know there is more to this life than just living and dieing. It completely changes everything. I find it interesting in this day and age where everything is acceptable and we are so tolerant of different cultures and different beliefs that we as a people react so venhemently towards Christianity, the very basis of our Country. I would understand if people were on here posting that everyone who is on the HQ that does not give a hundred dollars to the church is going to Hell! Or if we were being self rightouse jerks condeming every one who watches a horror flick. But none of us have done that (at least I don't recall any of the posts being that way). So why can't we have our opinion? Everyone else is allowed theirs. I have never said you need to delete your posts. I have never called you "brainwashed". Anway.......... RJV
  25. I explained it in the previous post. I don't cut and paste so I am not going to rewrite everything for you again. I won't say anything different so if you want you can return to the other post and read it again. I assure you, the Bible explains itself, I don't have to defend it. RJV
