Thats done too, was done at the same time i did everything, back in 05. I say this bottom end has maybe 30 hours on it MAX since the last rebuild... This is weird, all i can do is dig in and find out what cause this.. Thanks for the help bud...

cool, ive been in there a few times so im pretty comfortable now.. so what causes these seals to take a shit anyway?? I replaced all the seals, etc... in 05 I believe, seems to have failed early to me

Yea thats what i figured. Pretty inexpensive fix right? Besides the cost of my labor! And ill have to completetly tear the motor down to get to the seal huh.... Ive never done one before, can someone explain this seal, tips on removing/installing, and what the seal does exactly...

OK, went riding this weekend, and after we did the 50 mile loop, she started to smoke a bit out of the right cylinder, and smelled like shit. I changed the plugs, and 2 minutes later the smoke returned. So i went back to camp, tested compression which is fine, both still at 165. to my knowlegde, it smells like im burning tranny oil, so you think seal is going bad???? The bike still ran perfect with this happening, and i need to get this fixed by memorial weekend! Please help me out on this one, i need to get in the cases asap if need be.. Thanks guys....

thanks for all the suggestions boys, but i think ill stick with the ole turbo blue and 93 50/50. Its just sucks when i go to the UP and have to worry about carting race fuel around!

Well im guna sound cheap, but gas is a minumum of 3.20 a gallon here in MI. Anyway, im at a lil over 160 in each cylinder, at +4 timing. I have run 50/50 93/110 since i bumped the timing. I guess it would be a matter of testing, but i dont want to blow her up because of detonation. Think i have to stay with 50/50 or could I run just 93 or 94 octane. Let me know what u think, and sorry i know this has been discussed a bagillllion times

but wouldnt a faulty ground affect start up?? Im running the stock setup, and dont have time to tear it apart and rewire the bike like i want. Im going riding this weekend, at least it starts up for now! Maybe i have a short? but id think i would have problems with start up if that was the case. I will check all my grounds first... Well went ridin the other day, and the kill switch worked until i was ready to put it away. I had a new switch, put it on but it still doesnt shut off. Im stallin it out for now, but im really stumped here. Any input would be great, this is weird! Thanks!!

OK, im listing this for a friend of mine. He bought it for his son who never used it but a couple times around his house. Its just been hanging out. Its got maybe 8 hrs on it. I just rode it yesterday and it is perfect, runs perfect and looks sweet. It has the white plastics, and an AC style front bumper. ELectric start, reverse, both are like new. The bike is in SE michigan, about 30 mins south of flint, 30mins north of ann arbor to give you an idea. Heres what I have, and what id do if I were you. Its dependable and quick. I havent been beaten by any 450s that ive raced yet. To give some perspective a honda 450 w/a HRC kit was an easy win, epsecially on the top end... K&N 28mm keihin carbs (or go on ebay and get the knockoffs) Aggresive dune port (RB Racing) name is MACHWON on here.... Trinity head, 20 cc domes, running on 50/50 pump/race fuel +4 timing plate T5s Id say get some porting first man, those pipes will be fine for now. I ran FMFs on mine after it got ported, and it ripped. I beat the 450 with 0 timing, and the FMFs Hope that gives u an idea, good luck! :beer:

I had this happen to me, luckily I caught it before it came all the way off. BUT, all the threads were toast. I chased them with a thread tool, which i dont know the technical name of. It is rectangular, and has about 8 differnet pitch angles on it. its like a file for threads pretty much. I jacked up the rear, and let it idle in 1st gear as I chased the threads. It actually worked great, but hopefully it snappped b/c that bike got stolen a while back!! its a cheap alternative if u dont have a die that big, they are $$$, or if you dont have $200 for a new axle.....

Yea ive been posting a lot of piece parts the last few weeks Im still away at school, graduating this week!! Ill finallly get to put the new tires on next weekend, as well as post pics of the T5s, and the majic mike intake on. I like the look/sound of it much better with the T5s and intake, cant wait for the tires and rims!
