  1. Just switched from 7th gear semisyn to Klotz supertechniplate. No complaints here, and it smells great!
  2. Relax man and be patient. You will be very very satisfied with your cylinders, I promise! Hes a great guy to deal with, what port did u get by the way??
  3. Ive got a stator and some other stuff to trade, not a flywheel. PM me if interested....
  4. Damn buddy, thanks for doing some research for me!! Now, i have to get some directions to that airport! Ive heard of the AV gas, maybe ill try it out!. How much a gallon usually?? Ohh, and I have 160-165 lbs compression. So i think i should be fine w/a 50/50 mix
  5. Im thinking about getting a 55gal drum. But, i dont know if ill be able to transport it. Can u move it around by yourself and a dolly?? I found a station about 20 minutes from me, but it would cost me a lot to just get there.
  6. There is M-40 speedway on my way home from work. Maybe they have it for sale too??
  7. I have no clue where to find race fuel. I am near kalamazoo MI, which is at the 94 / 131 interchange. Please help me i want to ride this weekend!!
  8. Once again, this will not be out of billet! I think im guna make at least one the following: swingarm aluminum Heel plates Clutch cover (round piece) Brake res. cover Throttle cover aluminum grille skid plates
  9. hahaha :yelrotflmao: Hell you could make them of 7ga alum sheet and bend them. Laser cut the flat pattern, and bend em up. Then weld the mounts etc to it.
  10. Yea, i do have access to CNC mills, and could prolly get u one made in the future. Right now im just trying to make something sweet that I can send thru the whole shop. Once i get my foot in the door here, ill let u know what I can do
  11. HOLY shitballs i knew i was forgetting something. I am going to make a sick grill!!!! and a swingarm i think!. Im guna give it some time, but this facility is sick, and i think they could start a line of atv products. If they had a customer of course, we are a LEAN manufacturing facility to say the least, so no inventory here! I wont be doing anything billet. I do have access to 1/2" aluminum sheet stock tho. Footpegs are another very simple, yet cool thing to make. A gastank is also an idea, holy shit you can make a whole banshee out of sheet metal and tubing hahahah
  12. I always use a little RTV on em, cant hurt. Cheap insurance if you ask me!
  13. I think it should a little. Call jeff at FAST, he has the new kickstart idler gear bushings...
  14. Well boys, thanks for all the great ideas. Since this is a project for me, i will probly get a week to do it. I am using autocad Inventor, and need a copy for home so i can start working on a design. Heres some ideas I had. Keep in mind its only laser cut sheet metal, or laser cut tubing, then bending, and welding, and powdercoating.. No billet machining will happen with this project, too much time and money.. Heres some I deas i have been thinking of: Extended swingarm for stock carrier Resevoir cover Sprockets Skid plates Clutch inserts / water pump cover Aluminum air box I dont know, there is so much I could do. Out of em all, i think the swingarm is the most feasable. Im guna have to talk to loco about the material thicknesses, size, etc.. Thanks for all the input, i cant wait to start this project!
  15. OK, so i just graduated with a manufacturing engineering technology degree, and I am now a fabrication engineer at a metal fabricating / manufacturing plant We have laser CNC machines, a Tube laser, brake presses of all size, machine shop, all welding needs, 7 stage powdercoat line, etc... We run mostly sheet metal, up to 1/2" thick. For my first project (after training that is) I am supposed to design my own part, whatever i want, and run it through the shop. Will start at either the laser CNC, CNC Punch, or tube laser. Then it will go to press brake if need be, machine shop, welding then PC. Im thinking of making an extended swingarm out of tube stock, rectangle for the structural parts, and tube stock up front for the pivot. Then 7 gage sheet metal for the carrier mount area. Just an idea, what can you guys think of. I want it to be a challange, give me some idears! Im exctied!
  16. Not if you get them ported. Thats what i did and i love it. Call James at the banshee connection, in my signature. He does good work for cheap!
  17. dont know what to say?? Thats easy, what about dumbass, or retard?? No, its funny how such a simple thing can give you such a headache tho. Ill never do that again! And at least its not that big of a deal, half of a topend rebuild is fine with me to solve a problem and ride!!
  18. WPW , I am an idiot! Heres a good note for everyone, install your pistons the right way. Guess thats what i get for rushing the end of the build.... At least i found the problem i guess! ::
  19. hmm, thats pretty crazy. Now this has me thinking something got twisted up with my carb being that they were all zip tied up to my frame and shit. But, i took that carb apart and found nothing out of the ordinary. Didnt get a chance to switch my carbs, so this little issue is on hold once again! If i have consistent looking spark from both cylinders, id be safe to say that the spark side is fine right? And also with 160 lbs in both sides, i should be good on compression. Just need the fuel side now.. And my reeds would allow the bike to start at least, its gotta be something stopping fuel flow. That plug on the no fire side looks brand new, as it has never ignited........ GRRRRRRRR
  20. Thats awesome, well i had a blast painting my new house!! Glad to se you all had a good time, and didnt get too soaked. THzose Tyson guys are always doing something crazy. They helped me out a couple years ago when my shift shaft was fucked up. Let m euse some tools out there and stuff. Cool guys for sure.... OHH, and my spark plug boots are fairly new. And i have solid spark so im not worried about the elecrical side really.
  21. OK, i will try switching the carbs and shit, along with the reeds. I just rebuilt it, and the pickup should be ok along with the flywheel. The tors has been off for years, and ive never had an electrical issue besides the CDI. I will check this stuff out again, ill let u know what i find. Thanks a lot for the input. Hey dave, did u make silver lake this past weekend? if so, how was it?? hope u didnt get rained out too much..
  22. OK, starting to get frustrated. Still no resolve to this issue. The rreds looked good when i put them in, i just cleaned em up too. Fuel is flowing thru the lines, and the pilot and main jet are clean. Both cyls have an equal spark intensity. Im going nuts here, any more ideas?? I searched and read some issues similar. Im guna try swaping my coil wires i guess...
  23. Thanks for all the ideas! Well when i took the carb apart the floats seemed good, everything was normal. The weird thing is that everything was perfectly fine before i took it apart. And if i had a small air leak, wouldnt that just lean it out, it should still fire right? I seem to have the same fuel flow left to right ( clear lines). I guess im just guna have to fuck with it for a while, good thing i couldnt make it to the dunes this weekend i guess.. I have no tube that connects the two..
  24. OK, just finished FULL rebuild. Did crank bearings and seals, along with a billet basket. It looks like im missing out on fuel in this cyl. since i have compresssion ( 160 lbs in both ) and spark. I took the carb apart and cleaned main and pilot jets. Back tohether and same thing!! Spitter and sputter like shit!! Itll start on the first kick, but the right is not firing, the plug looks brand new still, which means no fuel to me.. Any thoughts on this?? Im kinda stuck here, any help would be great!
  25. cool, and thanks for all the help guys. SO i gess the hole for that spring is on the left side! I got it now...
