  1. I'm confused how a vent drops psi in the (transmission) crankcase above and beyond the factory vent. Or how crankcase oil cools an engine. Hell my engine oil is rarely even hot unless the clutch is slipping. I guess some heat can be transferred from actual crankcase to the transmission case area??
  2. You said you tore the head off and did a squish test??! The solder is bent like you did it correctly. So I figure that you just typed that unclear. What was the squish on the good side? Too much squish can cause deto as it can leave unburnt end gases in the combustion chamber. They can ignite at the wrong time. Edit: by the look of that oring water could've caused that. Squish is still too big though.
  3. No one else is runnin that intellijet thingy so I'm figuring it is real. He just stole a pic of a cheetah intake. I mean it is off of a CP Industries Nicasil plated Big Bore 72 mm Cheetah cylinder with 250R intakes with boost ports that flow 1.1 gigawatts of oxygen rich air that flows appropriately into the cylinder. The Polished Trinity Custom Power Valves are in place using genuine mikuni Jets to alter the vacuum sent through the Viton polymer self lubricating tubing into the Custom Power Valve Assembly. From there the 7075 Aluminum forged powervalves are allowed the move the appropriate direction depending on the speed of the Forged Wiseco 789er Domed pistons. The pistons are assembled onto high grade rolled steel Wrist Pins which goes to a high quality forged rod which is attached to the Custom Made 64 mm rotational distance Crankworks Cranks... Sorry Thack had to... you use more adjectives and descriptions than Trump.
  4. Because of that theory (as you've mentioned) that there is a better spark with the non resistor plugs...is why I prefer them. That said, all of the exotic plugs are resistor. I don't know why that is. BR9EIX, BR9EG, and so on.
  5. Probably not any performance difference between the 2. I prefer the non resistor plugs as well, but will run whatever I have on hand. A dyna CDI needs resistor plugs, and honestly I didn't know about the Nology coil. I have one and don't remember what I ran on it either.
  6. You had to know those Gaynadians would be all over that one!!
  7. To oversimplify: Sound waves travel at....the speed of sound (which varies according to the media in which it travels and is affected by temperature as well) Not the RPM of the engine. They don't care about shape or welds as far as the speed is concerned. Stamped pipes are just easier to mass produce consistently. Just my thoughts...
  8. Yeah. Where was this a month ago! I posted a wanted ad for one and they said they never come up for sale, or if they do they go quick!
  9. Yep, I get shit errytime I mention anything remotely related to pipes. It always turns into a shit storm. I just let it go!
  10. Wrong language in his sig for bomber!
  11. My fault there for implying that switching the leads would automatically rule that out. I did mention checking the pick up coil gap for both nubs, but then made it sound like swapping the leads would do the same thing.
  12. No way pipes that work good for a 24 Mil work even average on 4 mil. The RPM range of the motor alone would negate that.
  13. Cause wrong f'in pipes!!! Tuned length, volume, stinger diameter.... Of course those are all wrong for a small motor if set up for a big ass motor! Why you gotta make it a SCP thing? Results would've been bad with any brand pipe like that.
  14. We accidentally dynoed some big LEDs on a little motor and I think it made 60 HP or so!!! We had flange adaptors there and were trying all kinds of pipes and didn't realize we had Cougar pipes or something.
  15. Post up the graphs then. I can dig them up if you want. If I didn't pay $800 for a pipe advertised to have 10 more hp than the next best pipe it wouldn't have been such a bitter deal. Why would I sell pipes that made good power? What is this ransom you speak of? I have spent well over $100k on drag racing Banshees. I need a hand out??!!!!! Never had a hand out in my life. 3.7s for a 10 mil was slow then, and it's laughable now. Menz 3.97 Cub was running 3.6s at that time. Dyno was ran by Menz. Enough said. Now I have the Record 650cc bike at 3.39, and a 521 that will likely bust into the 3.4s. Would having yours or Jim's name associated with that be good for your business? I don't know. Probably not. But I never asked for free shit. Oh, and where is Jim now? I never jumped on the bandwagon and bashed the guy. But here ya go. Jim: "You're gonna need to run a pvl on that 10 mil Cub. My motors are so powerful they destroy stock flywheels." "You're gonna need an 80 roll out 16 ripper to go along with that 10 mil Cub." Me: "ok, order the pvl" "I'll get some tires" Took the pvl off and went faster. Never ran the tires because they were too ridiculous for that build.
  16. Yes. I don't have the graphs. Sniper was less at nearly all RPMs.
  17. I did. I don't know if autocorrected or what. This phone changes all kinds of shit. It just had this post all messed up. I'll fix that post.
  18. I had zero offers on my out of frames at $200. Edit: pipes were OOFs. Not inframes.
  19. Nah. This is a budget trail bike that won't use half of the HP that could be made with it anyway.
  20. I'm sure you can sell that pro mod EASILY. I'm having him build one as we speak. I tried to source a used one but it was not happening.
  21. How timely. I finally traded my Snipers, an aluminum drag tank, and some like new Cub pistons for a set of CPI inframes. Have been for sale for years and years.
  22. I was gonna mention that (rats nest in pipe) too if everything else checks out. I think he said that he swapped reeds and problem remained on the same side.
  23. So is your needle clip in the top most or bottom most notch? That's not your problem either way. But just want to be clear on that.
  24. Just a few water droplets are enough. Not saying that is the issue, but look at the plugs after you run it at the point when one side cuts out. Any droplet on the plug is bad. (Gas won't form droplets) Also check out pick up coil gap. One nub could be further away and not telling it to fire before TDC on that side. Also can swap plug wires left to right if you're haven't already tried that.
