  1. If it was holding pressure while cold you definitely have a leaking head gasket.
  2. That's an old pic. He's lost 20 lbs off of it since then.
  3. I would say no. Just clean up the casting flaws. Also, many builders wouldn't want to port it without replating after. Which adds to the cost.
  4. I've got an Arctic Cat Prowler xt? 1000. It runs great and handles kind of ok for more of a utility style sxs. I wouldn't recommended it if your wife is gonna drive it, especially with your son in it. The throttle is very touchy and it is hard to steer. It does run 70 mph though! I'd go for a rzr if I had it to do over, but they were either brand new or not out when I bought mine.
  5. If you're gonna do a rebuild and the cylinders don't need bored, you can't use the wiseco piston or any forged piston if you currently have a stock or other cast piston. If you don't need a bore you can probably get a stock replacement cast piston (Namura, etc.) and hone and put it in. Just FYI.
  6. I would be concerned that the dome and or head is damaged if you torqued it to spec and the dome wasn't setting flush on the cylinder. You may want to make sure it is true.
  7. Same size base gasket? Same domes? Leak down test is a must as mentioned.
  8. Kennett, MO
  9. Will throw in jack stands for $25 extra.
  10. No triple.
  11. Looking for some used lectron billet bowls. I need 3 total.

Shit has gone up I guess. I sell them at the track sometimes, so I try to keep on top of it.
  13. The Nicasil isn't in great condition. It's runnable, but would best to be replated.

I have a dozen or so. Let me know what size. They are about $70 or $ 80 new lightened. Many sizes I have I don't need.
  15. Pretty sure their motors are built in the states, or at least bought turn key from here. Congrats on the 3.46 to Bennett's. Steph is a helluva rider.
  16. What size flange and out which side?
  17. 300 ft. I don't know of many that are impressive. I also don't know of many Cougars that run good off the spray. Not saying they don't make power, but the e.t. Isn't there.
  18. I still wouldn't call most DMs sorted out. Glad you're ok.

  20. Funny you mention that. It takes an hour or so put the Scimitar motor in its chassis. You need 2 or 3 different Allen wrenches, some metric some standard, 5 different wrenches and or sockets. Some deep well, some shallow, some metric, standard. I need to make a winter project of fixing that mess, but I always tell myself I won't have to take the motor back out, because not gonna tear it up again! Yea right.
  21. Yeah. I read a lot of that. The blame may not be totally on the cylinders. Sorry to get off topic.
  22. Scimitar = huge ports, less piston cooling and more friction. If you had a custom cylinder with a trail port I'm sure it could be big. You can't deny the stroke and piston speed. Also the marine and snomos run at almost a set RPM. I was just giving my and others experience with big twin CP cylinders. There are even a crap load of problems just trying to run a Cheetah in a road race bike. Just check it the RZ forums about The Two Stroke Shop attempts at that.
