  1. Need to order some pingle clutch levers, but they come in 2 sizes.
  2. I second that. The (probably minimal) damage is probably already done. I've seen a guy make 4 or 5 hard 300ft passes with NO filters on my 392 Cub...he cleaned the filters, but thought I put them back on.. Never checked for damage, and the motor still runs great..that was a year ago. If it was still running ok when you shut it off, it's probably ok, imo. HMMM..but mine was a nikasil coated cylinder...I guess that changes things a little.
  3. AHHH. :sorcerer:

I've got some 16 pdl 83 r/o Rippers coming, but that's way too much tire for my 421. Might try the 14 pdl staggereds on 10x10s on the 421, and the 16 pdl ripper on the Cheetah.
  5. Stock pilots are generally fine with T5s, but it will run with 27.5s. What kind of air filter, and what timing are you running?
  6. Is it engine warmed up before adjusting the air screws? Also, you have to wait a few seconds after turning the screws before the change actually takes place, kind of like turning on the hot water in the shower...takes a bit before it gets there.
  7. I'd be scared to death without a bar!! Hell, I'm scared to launch hard on dirt without a bar!! Mine likes to raise up to the moon at about 150' or so (on dirt/no bar). It never wants to raise up on down the track?
  8. How do you keep the front end down??

17/38 seems a little high to me for racing; not sure about just riding around. This also depends on how much tq and hp your motor has..and your weight. I run 15/42 on alky on both my 421 and 392 Cubs. It's difficult to keep the revs up enough to launch in second on the 392, but blows the tires off on the 421. This is with 74 r/o 22x11x8 extremes. (10,14, or 15 pdl)
  10. No rev limiter on the Banshee. False rev limiter can be electrical. I had that happen once and it was the stator.
  11. A shift star won't work with neutral down overrides, btw. The stock one has to be modified to move the neutral lobe.
  12. Interesting. Any gas burning piston that I've seen, where the jetting was definitely rich, was completely black, with a thick coat of carbon. I know that these engines were rich..running 350 or 360 mains and stock pilot and needle postion on a stock engine with + timing, T5s, pods, etc.
  13. I didn't know a 15 would fit with the cascade one????. I have 3, but am running larger than 14t on all, so they're just on the shelf.

    18/38 Setup.

You might have to go with a honda rear sprocket hub..I think you can get a 38 in that. Or get higher ratio primary gears.
  15. ^^^^^^Me too.
  16. I guess it really depends on the type of riding (open roads, or tight trails, etc.) If ride where you never get WOT in 6th, I don't see a downside to the 13t; but I'd miss those extra few MPH at top the way I used to ride. Now I just drag race.
  17. You're in the minority there. Magura is junk most of the time. Not familiar with the other. A new cable and ez perch lever has about the same pull as the magura, even with hd springs.
  18. I have reused them as well, but occasionally you'll have one that leaks upon reuse. You can visually inspect it and see what kind of shape its in. The ones I have reused looked like new; but I have seen people re-use one that looks like hell, but still didn't leak. However, I'd recommend a new one if he has the time to get it ordered.
  19. Aftermarket reeds, timing at +4, shave head 0.020 thousandths. I'd leave the gearing alone.
  20. Yep. In the sig. That's big river sand drags in Bonne Terre, MO in the avatar.
  21. ^^LMFAO! I about spit out my lunch. :yelrotflmao:
