www.dynoedge.com they have tach's built for banshee's or u can just get a egt system if u drag this bike cuz it will be more helpful in the long run as appose to a tach
-
my fastest mph is 98mph with a 17-37 gear with a 1-5 override with 19" american racers and the bike ran out of gear about 60' from the line and pretty much stopped pulling i think if i dropped down to a 17-36 i would see a lil more mph and a lil better et as well just gotta get the lil ol 350 back together first
-
i run r-6 fibers with the thick barnett steels in mine with all 6 toomey springs but if u dont have an override i would stay away from running all 6 toomey's cuz they are hella stiff if u got a manual tranny id run 3 toomeys and 3 barnetts or either all 6 barnetts
-
ive never been to glamis but from what everone has said on turkey day and the last big event at glamis and so on that dan has posted the fastest mph up the hill u can check on planetsand if u wanna but im sure we will all know who the man is when they got to rocky point in a few weeks lol dennis packard is supposed to run his big twin lethal weapon against all the other triple cylinder bikes so im sure that is gonna be some good heads up racing at rocky point
-
yea no disrespect to other builders bro but dan is just my go to guy we have 4 other motors that rudy kurtz built and a few k&t motor and they all haul ass so really like u said its personal prefrence to an extent but the most popular names u here are dan hull, rudy kurtz, dennis packard, and kim muchmore and a few others along the way
-
well i dont know nothin about passions cept that u guys on here have motor done by him but dan has posted the fastest mph at glamis goin on 3yrs now so that says alot and as far as his customer service i cant complain he is a lil hard to get ahold of and all but he pretty much runs the whole show himself as well as races his personal bikes he has helped me with jetting chassis setup and so on since day one and everything he has said to try has helped me out he got me running from 7.20 1/8miles to 6.80 1/8 mile drags in about 3 weeks and he says i should get a lil more out of my lil 350 motor. as for his location he is in mason michigan which is pretty close to lansing michigan
-
well with most port work a rebore of the cylinders is required so you are probably gonna have to get new pistons neways but if u dont go ahead and get you a new set of wiseco pro-lites and stick in there never hurts to have a set of fresh pistons and rings in a 2-stroke
-
gonne be around 600 bucks man and like i said its work the money and that 350 setup will put out about 85-90hp on race gas
-
depends on what u want done a 350 alky drag port will run u about 600 or so if u dont get the triple exhaust ports but if u get those then its about another 300 added on cuz of the extra machine work it involves but the money u spend is well worth it cuz how many other 350's do u know run 4.20's or better in 300' dirt drags on stock fram bikes i can name about 10-20 that i know of that dan ported and run these numbers
-
dan hull at a&s racing
-
run the wiseco pro-lite pistons just about every big builder i know of uses them and i have never had a problem with them ever i dont know alot about the vito's pistons but the trinity pistons with the moded boost port hold up really well
-
looks like ya had a crank go bad and the piston hit the head u can send it to a performance shop and have it cut and rechambered and u will probably be able to get it right out and it will run fine but as for running it like it is now i wouldnt do it cuz the combustion chamber of that head is really messed up and the bike will never run at peak performance again until its fixed
-
just remember just cuz its cheaper doesnt mean its just as good as a override that cost 450-500 to get done in this sport u have to pay to play and i know alot of guys that can tell u storys about going with a cheaper override from somewhere and having to replace tranny gears and so on but u do what u want
-
alcohol burns 2 times faster than race gas and is very tempermental if u are just gonna straight dune this bike then i would keep it on gas but if u are gonna sand drag or hillshoot this bike the alky wouldnt be a bad idea cuz when i went from race gas to alky on my drag bike i picked up 2tenths in the 1/8mile once i got the jetting real close.and also if u go to alky i would reccomend gettin bigger carbs like a set of 35.5pj's or a set of 35 pwk's both of the carbs work really well and thats what we run on all of out bike pretty much
-
if u keep the stock cages have them PORTED to have more area in the reed cage itself and ive yet to see any difference between the ported cages and the v-force2's so y spend the money for the v-force reeds if the dont perform better than a set of stock PORTED cages
-
we run our 4mill drag bike with blaster pistons with no spacer plates at all with a cool head with regular uncut 20cc domes and have no clearance issues at all with this motor but it is fairly tight just enough clearence for rod stretch and so on just make sure u use the correct base gaskets with this set up cuz if u dont have enough then u will get detination due to piston hitting the head
-
i know in drag racing u will hear mixed issues on the reed situation alot of guys run the v-force2's and alot of guys run stock MODIFIED cages now i my self have run both in my bike and im like alot of guys running the stock moded cages i have seen no difference at the track as far as e.t. goes but if u would rather spend the 200 for the v-force2's as appose to the 75bucks it cost for u to pay a engine builder to port your stock ones and put on some carbon fiber reeds is up to you but in my opinion id just get the stock cages done and save a lil money as far as it making the bike rich i dont think it will but going from a all fiberglass reed to a stiffer carbon fiber reed will give u crisper and a lil quicker throttle response hope this helped u out a lil bit man
-
in my opinion rudy kurtz is the override man i would send it to him i had dan hull do mine and have also had no problems with it but all our other bikes have rudys overrides and been goin for 2yrs now if not more
-
17-36 here on a lightened stock frame with a a&s 350 with a 200lb rider 1-5 override best time so far is a 6.85

My Banshee Is Guzzling Down Coolant
a&sbanshee replied to bpreuss's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
what kinda head are u running??? if its pushing fluid out the over flow like u say the head gasket might not be blowed but it could be leaking. check to see if u have back pressure on the radiator cap let it run for a few min then twist the cap and see if it has pressure but be careful when doin that lol.. if it does then u most like have a head leaking somewhere u may just have to re torque the head and this will clear it up -
if u wanna see a triple banshee run the go to a&s's website www.bansheeracing.com and go to the video links and watch dan hull t-rex triple again louie swans triple at glamis this past year its worth the wait of the download for all u dial up guys

Who Builds The Best +8 Swingarm?
a&sbanshee replied to bansheeman95's topic in General Banshee Discussion
give andy at grand river racing a call he built my +8 swing arm and its nice he can build em to hold stock carrier or accept the round housing carrier and go with the no link set up or keep it like the stock set up -
its stamped on the left side of the frame if u are sitting on the bike just under where the stator cover is on the motor if im not mistaken and assuming u have a banshee
-
go ahead and get forged pistons man and be done with it
