  1. my friend is running bel-ray HR-1 2-cycle in his bansh and says its the shizit. any of you guys know if this stuff is any good? thanks in advance for any response
  2. pps...when my bike was bogging like that, i could eventually get the rpm's up into the powerband and run full throttle...but it ran super shitty getting there.
  3. ok, what changed with your setup immediately before you noticed this low end bog? im running the same pipes and filter mod as you and i am running 320 mains at 900'. i was running 290s...worked great with just the snorkel off of the lid...bogged real real bad when i cut the back of the lid off up to the rear clips (it must have been a lean bog, but it was a bog none the less, i had to duct tape up the hole so i could even ride that day...ran fine once i duct taped up the hole...but not as good as when i opened the hole back up w/320's). you may or may not need to go up on your pilot... i did not need to. if your bike kicks over fairly easily, your pilots may be ok. heres what you do...your rolling along slow in first or second gear just off of idle...now just barely blip the throttle like no more than 1/8 throttle ( make sure you got the rpms up at least slightly into the powerband before you blip it). start with the air screws 2 turns out and note the throttle response when doing the above mentioned ride test. quickly jump off and turn air screws in 1/2 and jump back on and do the same exact ride test (the faster you adjust and get back on, the better your memory of what you just felt in the seat of your pants. if response was better, try in another 1/2 turn, if worse go back to 2 turns and start trying turning them OUT 1/2 turn. just because your bike bogs at low RPM does not mean it is your pilots. mains come into play sooner than a lot of people think (over 1/8 throttle) and so you have to look at throttle response compared to throttle position to know were to look for your problem. hope this helps ps...sorry for the long ass post
  4. how much for that bag of weed in the picture oh, thats probably the rezzy mounting hardware
  5. Thanks dl this was moved to the roostin' room for a brief exchange... if anyone is interested, see "what pisses you off" (last 2 pages)
  6. thats it, im gettin a good digital camera tomorrow! i got like a $40 pos now
  7. screamin demon read this as you were the one who sent the bad check...was it you or is there really a knight ripper oh, couldnt of been you...you live in ohio
  8. maybe you shouldn't buy so much pot sorry dude...i couldnt resist
  9. cool...we got moved...you chump! ok, sheewoman, say whatever you want cause you wont get another post from me...like i said, your not worth my time.
  10. alright SHEEWOMAN SMOKEDYAA, im through with you... your not worth my time...but you should seriously go to the roostin room and read "whats going on here" by reas11. it talks about the site being overrun by punks like you...a lot of my BHQ heros posted...guys that got me to...well...want to be like them (i admit i have a long way to go) guys like boonman, deuce, d34, meat, big boy, tx, evil, cotton eye i shouldn't have started naming names, there are many more. ive been wondering where some of these guys have been lately. i feel like there sitting back watching goin WTF is happening to our site. do every one a favor and read...ill type it again cause i know your slow..."whats going on here" by reas11
  11. bump for that chump SHEEGUY SMOKEDYAA read "compression help" in repairs and mods i think this should probably be moved to the roostin' room. i wish that room was in 3 dimensions cause i'd kick his punk ass
  12. i do them at work all the time moron...not on banshee motors...mostly on four strokes...but also on 2 strokes. i am a factory authorized service tech for lincoln electric...and engine driven welders are 4cycles (burco makes a cool 2stroke powered welder though) but my shop also does warranty service for stihl and homelite. i have done leak down tests, as ive said, and found problems in the past w/rings and reeds. i have different provisions for pressure testing the crankcase but same theory applies. a 2 stroke is a 2 stroke and your obviously an uneducated, babbling fool
  13. definitely go bigger on the main...your pilot is probably ok...if it starts without a whole lot of kicking your current pilots can probably be dialed in w/the air screws for good throttle response. 190 is way to small on the main for that filter mod...dont ride it hard, if at all, until you jet up cause you gotta be dangerously lean. i would probably start w/at least 320' and if shees boggin rich (do a plug chop test) come down a size at a time until shee screams. rather be a little rich than lean if you concerned about reliability. 320s could even possibly not be big enough...do a chop test
  14. i think my advice was already better...and i like it when shees ridin me
  15. how come my link did't post oh well...you can type it in if you want... www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=4317 p/n: 4317-0vga
  16. $54.95 from harbor freight. you need a compressed air supply to use it. screws into the spark plug port and guage measures air leaking past rings and or reeds. could probably be adapted to pressure test crankcase as well i would think. i dont know off hand why your compression is lower when hot...but i think the cold numbers are a better guage for determining top end condition. the leak down test cant be beat though .
  17. anyone runnin one. i see their add in the back of dirtwheels...looks pretty cool. it mounts between your stem clamp and bars, raising the bars a good inch or so and allowing for a different plane of adjustment forwards and back (this adjustment simultaneously raises or lowers bars slightly). i know it would put more leverage on my lsr stem in a crash (i hear their not as tough as i thought). thanks in advance for any feedback.
  18. i would recommend a cylinder leak down test in an attempt to pinpoint the cause of the discrepency. not sure on the specs you requested.
  19. i'm not sure of the legality's of it...but i think thats an excellent idea. give him time to respond to the threat of posting his address...if he's smart he'll try to rectify the situation with you...i would'nt 13000 people w/my address who think i'm a low down dirty POS
  20. the instructions w/my fattys recommended using high temp silicon at the header pipe and the clamps, if you haven't tried that yet... works great. my old 96 shee had shitty fitting DG pipes that leaked bad. i was too young and dumb at the time to worry much about it but that bike ran great for 3yrs of hard riding w/out a rebuild... then i sold it. they leaked real bad around the header (at the cylinder) but like a said it ran great. i was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what detremental effects would be expected (performance or reliability wise) running w/a leak like that. i hope this is not too dumb of a question. feel free to disregard and respond further to hotrodbanshee's clamp question.
  21. ...gulp.......your right MR MOONEY...i must have had 1 too many beers last night...i see the light. these forums would be pretty f*@cked up if, your reading along trying to gain some knowledge, and some boob like me keeps changing the subject. ive learned my lesson. seriously guys i'm sorry , especially you bizanchee. mines kinda gay too. she is a screamin' banshee though (an artist's rendering of an apparition )
