A bad reed(s) could cause that. They are cheap enough and easy to replace. I'd do that and go from there if the compression is good and even. If the reeds don't fix it and your sure the carbs are ok then a leakdown test would be in order. Or do a comp. and leakdown test first .

I get him by a bike length in 300 and by 10+ bike lengths in 600. That was with my stock cylinders. I haven't raced him since I got FASTER . Get you some prowedge2 tires if you want to hook up on dirt. There made by Ohtsu. They spin just enough so you can dump the clutch without wheelieng. They will get you out of the hole quick.

I use permatex aviation form-a-gasket sealant on just about everything. Cheap, easy to get and really good shit. It brushes on thin and easy, cleans up easy and keeps planes in the air so I figure its good enough for my banshee. On the bottle it pretty much says that its good on just about every type of gasket, flange, machined surface or threaded connector and is impervious to heat and chemicals. I call it airplane glue .

No, he's just suggesting that you clean the threads with a tap and die so that they will thread smoothly again, if they are that bad that is. Tap the ball joint into the spindle with a hammer, and the tapered shaft of the ball joint will wedge in the spindle. This will keep it from turning when you put the wrench to the nut. If tapping doesn't get it to wedge, squeeze down on it with a pair of channel locks (one jaw under the spindle and the other jaw on top of the ball joint) to get it to wedge and hold it while you turn the wrench with the other hand.
