  3. The thumb was the first thing to go after the stock air intake. For me it was easy. Punch the wall with youre fist. Then punch it with youre thumb, see which breaks first.... I really dont know if its more dangerous, I squeeze my bike with my legs in the whoops, so the tw2ist really doesnt bother me. JMO
  4. R youre gears straight cut? That will cause a bearing failure faster than anything. The helicule gears pull sideway on the bearing against the case. I dont feel any vibrations from my lockup, pinned.
  5. I posted one in images today with the stock frame cut and drilled to shave the weight. I dont know how well you can see it, but I can get better pics of it if you need.
  6. Your jetting will depend on temp, alt. shit the list goes on and on..... Ive seen the exact same engine take 2 totally diff mains. As for reliable.. Hell ya youll be reliable. The relaibility goes down after porting and mods like that. Stock bore, stock port, good to go. I would throw some wisecos at it before the stockers give. JMO The toomeys were the best pipe I bought for the stock set up in the way I was riding. What do you do with it? Sand?, turf?MX? The pipe you want depends on what you ride.......

  9. If the oil was properly filled (1500ml) and its low now , I would say crank bearing. The left side crank bearing being gone woiuld cause this and the backfire/lean condition. Pull the plugs, see what up with them. Oily, stink on the left, there ya go, bad crank bearing. Later

  16. Ive had this new swingarm for 6 months or so. Does anyone else have a prob with slop after 4 or 5 rides in the carrier/axle. I do and it drives me nuts!

I ride a 97 with a 4mill stroke, CC set of cyls, 34mm mikunis, deltas v force, CPI inframes, +8 swinger, alum axe, hubs, coolhead w/17cc domes, chrome side cases, lockout, straight cut gears, renthal bars, mohawks, 9 paddle haulers, stock frame.

  22. Go to the local autobody paint store and get the aircraft stripper in a can. Spray them down and leave them for 30 min. or so (in the shade). Go back and scrape er down. If it doesnt take it all off, do it again.
  23. Pearl white is bad news, too hard to clean (oil grease ect.) Ive seen a pc red on black on a 450d that was bad asss. Its a bike for a customer for my buddy. My frame is actually black cherry with a blue pearl over it. When its in the sun it looks blue, when the sun isnt on it, it turns blackcherry. My 2 cents.
  24. Ive painted 4 sets of full plastics, they all held up fine except when the bike was crashed. You do need fender suports, I probably have a set hangin round you can have, if I can find them. I dont have any fenders to speak of on my bike
  25. Tear the carbs apart, clean the hell out them. Everything, to make sure none of the gunk from sitting is stuck in the pilot, or anything else. Put them back on and see what happens. If it still wont start, turn the gas off, hold the throttle wide open and kick the shit out it. Let us know.
