thanks ill check the cable. but your right when it reved real high i took the key out, pull the tether cord out, unplugged the plug wires and finally i bumped the throttle and it shut down. but ran fine after.
when i cleaned my carbs i was not sure if i was supposed to oil the slides with anything, so i didnt. when i ran it it ran good but the right side pipe got warm about 5 min faster than the left. and one time it rev real high till we tapped the gas just wondering if the dry slides caused this
i got the carbs cleaned today and put back together. found out it just dont like the cold. i ran the banshee for a while and one pipe got warmed up about 5 min before the other. both cylenders are fireing. plus i think i flooded the shit out of them and when i got it started again it rev real high (real high) and we took the key out hit the kill switch pulled the plug wire and the tether cord and wouldnt shut down we tapped the gas and it rev down and stopped. my ? is the slides in top of the carb are dry should they be lubed with something.
thanks it make sense. my brother is coming by tomorrow and ill have him check one side and ill check the other.thanks and ill let you know. if they are, will tearing the carbs apart to clean them screw it all up.
my buddy is doing the carb work this weekend. are two stroke carbs pretty much the same as four stroke when it comes to tear down and cleaning. i see a little eye on the carb and when i hit the throttle i can see the level move is that what you mean by being synch
i dont know where they are. plus today i sprayed a little starting fluid and choked it and it started 2 kick and stayed running i turn the choke off and rode a few laps around the house, shut it down and fired everytime after that first kick. so now im letting it cool down and try. plus low end kind off boggs down when i hammer it until im moving good
today i was gonna get a compression test done but i went to load up and decided to kick it over first. 2nd kick and fired right up. i called the shop and they said my compression is most likely good. but now it wont kick again. any thoughts
im getting a compression test tomorrow. the carbs are getting done sat. i forgot to add that when it is running it idles real high. i dont know if that changes any opinions. plus if my compression is low what do you do to fix it. thanks
i just got my first banshee (2000) and it wont kick start. If i pop start it if will run and run great and i can shut it down and it will then kick start. once it cools down it wont kick start again. it will start for a few seconds with starting fluid. could it be gummed up carbs. thwe guy said it did alot of sitting. igf anyone can help it be great
