  1. Not sure about the throw on the shifter. Theres 3 different settings on the linkage arm. this should increase/decrease it depending on which one is selected.
  2. I've got it on my powerstroke right now Boon trying to get a little more engine braking. Once i take it off. I'll put it back on the shee and give it a try.
  3. 2000 YZ426F. Has less than 10hours total ride time on it. Never Raced. Trail ridden only. All stock w/the exception of Pro Taper Bars and a White Brothers Exhaust. The exhaust consists of a stepped header and a carbon fiber silencer. Also have the stock exhaust for the bike. Never ran over 2 hours on a oil change. Valves checked at 2 hours. Looking for a Banshee, Raptor, Zilla, 250R, Tecate,Predator or a 440Ex. Would be willing to meet a reasonable distance. Will through in a 2001 TTR125L for the right quad also.
  4. Wanted to bump this and see if I could get some more input after I posted the pic. Thanks
  5. Has anybody had any dealings w/shipping a quad. Looking for a reputable company to ship about 950miles. Any info will really help.
  6. Was wondering if you were into bikes? I have a 2000 Yamaha yz426f. Bike has less than 10 hours on it. The only mods are a pro taper handle bar and a white brothers exhaust. The exhaust consists of a stepped header and a carbon fiber silencer. Also have the stock exhaust.
  7. Please let me know when class will be beack in session Boonman. I have a couple more questions.
  8. Bought from Reas11 Thanks
  9. Hey Boonman. Just a thought here. When I did my test, it was with manual trans in both. Not sure how yours were setup. I do now one of the guys I work with has a '03 powerstroke w/an automatic. The trans seems to let it feewheel more. Not sure if this is due to the torque converter or what.
  10. I guess I'll jump back in here. I to have done the test also. See a previous post of mine. For the vehicles used. W/a loaded enclosed traler behind, the diesel stops 40-50 shorter. Can't explain it. It just does. both are equipped the same.
  11. I guess we agree to disagree. My opinion stands also.
  12. I give up guys. Alls I can say is to go and test drive a diesel w/a stick and a gasser equipped the same and see for yourselves. Thanks.
  13. Rod and Boon. A simple but effective test can be performed. I own a ford powerstroke diesel2002, 4x4, 4door. I also own a f-250 that had a blown powerstroke. 1997 also a 4 door 4x4. This truck now has a rebuilt 460 in it for towing. When backing out of the throttle the diesel will pull down from speed in a much shorter distance than the gas. Don't know why. Weights and wind resistant are not much of a factor. I understand what you are saying about the unlimited air supply. But with nothing to burn. Beit diesel or gas. You will still have the braking effect. I'm by no means an engineer, just a consumer. Thanks
  14. Dude you make this to easy.
  15. Any time the fuel source is shut off and there is a compression stroke, you will have engine braking. This will occur in gas or diesel engines. Valves closed with nothing to burn=engine braking.
  16. See the above post. Excatly what I'm talking about!!!!!!
  17. Just a quick reply to Boons diesel analogy. I have been in the trucking business for 30+ years, I have a little experience in this area. Diesels do engine brake and quite well at that. Anything from my powerstroke to my 575 horse CAT. Any time the fuel source is shut off and there is a compression stroke, you will have engine braking. An exception to this may be the early Detriot Diesel 2-strokes. How do you think these trucks slow in areas that don't allow exhaust brakes. Its not all by axle braking. Not trying to slam ya boonman. My .02$
  18. Looking for a used set of paddles for my sons banshee. Straights preferred, but v's would work. Thanks
  19. Well I'm fairly new to this site myself. I've been riding banshees since they were the lastest thing on the dealers floor. Looks like you took a guy that has his motor sold and slammed him. What ever happened until innocent until proven guilty? Guess it doesn't apply to banshee owners. Its to the place a person doesn't even want to post here, because you get 15 smarta#$ answers for every decent one. Lets give some of these people a chance. I'm sure the people interested in this motor are big boys and can take care of there own transactions without 3 or 4 folks telling them how to do it. Like the man said. If you have a problem w/him PM him.
  20. The best advice I have ever received when it comes to tuning my banshee's, is to make one jetting change at a time. Don't change mains, clip positions and whatever else all at once. I usually start w/my mains and go from there. Earlier in the post someone said to fine tune w/the needle. This has always been the way I have tuned also. It seems to work for me.
  21. Heres the pic. Better late than never.
  22. How much for the 8x8's?
  23. Heres the pic of the shifter. Its loosely threaded in place. Looks like there is clearance issues w/the mag/countershaft sprocket cover, but definitly fits.
  24. What kind of carbs are you looking for? Are you runnin' a trinity single? Maybe a swap? let me know.
  25. Need a set of paddles w/rims. Cheap is good. Straights are preferred.
