  1. Need a set of 10" rears for my paddles. Need to be the small banshee pattern. .125's are fine. Send an email to sandjcky1@aol.com Thanks TB
  2. One other thing to consider is the tolls. If you run to Tulsa and then west on the Cimarron Pike, you'll be paying tolls clear to I-35, probably 20-25$ if your pulling a trailer. This would be round trip. If you turn off at Vinita it'll be about $3.
  3. It'd have to be Kid Rocks "Run off To LA". Think maybe its about his blonde ex??????????
  4. That'll work or cut off on Hwy 60 in Viniita Ok and head west from there. Might be a little shorter, but its also only 2 lane road. Kind of a toss up.
  5. There might be an oil company or two that stand in the way.
  6. I think the place south of I-10 was on Ranch Rd 1601. Its somewhere between Monahans and Crane. About 6-7 miles south of 10. I was following a local I met at kermit, so I was just trying to remember my way out. As far as which one is better, I think Kermit is better if your going just to ride 'til ya drop. Its about 6 miles by 5 miles. 30sq miles is lot of riding area.If your looking to ride and party then LS is probably the hot spot. Kermit has a couple motels and stores. There not as set-up as Waynoka is yet.
  7. Kermits an awesome place to ride. Took the family out for spring break this year. 20,000+ acres. Theres a fair sized paved area to park w/covered picnic tables. Definitely no services until you get to Kermit. Dunes are fair sized, but no real big ones. Its on the left side of the road as your heading NE out of kermit. Probably 12 miles or so out of town. IT was a 12 hour drive from just north of Tulsa. There was no one there during the week of spring break. Just us and a couple of othere people. It looked like it might get a little more crowded during the weekend. If you have the time to drive out there its worth it. Theres also another place to ride south of I-10. Its real small, but some decent sized dunes and good bowls. This place is good for a day ride. Smooth sand and real secluded.
  8. To bad your not a little closer, I've got a '02 rappy i'd be interested in trading.
  9. Its not that bad, I lived halfway between S.F. and Sac for a few years. I agree pier 39 is pretty cool, theres a ww2 sub you can take a tour of. If your a lefty like me, theres a shop that has nothing but left handed stuff. Playing cards, scissors all kinds of cool crap. And ya gotta admit, the weather probably beats Az this time of year. Next week will be the autolite nationals at Searspoint(infineon)Raceway in Sonoma. Make sure and take a ride down Lombard St. Its insane. We tried one day. there was a guy in a semi(tractor only) that tried. He was so screwed. They ended up dragging him back up the hill to get him out. If your into Harley's, Arlen Ness just opened a new shop in Danville. Definately worth a visit. Definately do Alcatraz. Get there early or get tickets ahead of time or you'll never get on the island.
  10. Its not to tough to do. Make a few marks on the padding w/a marker. Mark the sides for height and the rear for the contour. Just use the wifes electric knife to cut the padding. You can clean up the cuts w/a course rasp or a D/A sander. As far as the cover goes. If your keeping the same contour as the original, you can re-stretch it and just trim off the excess from the bottom. Hope this helps.
  11. Wish you were closer. Heres a pic and a list of mods. '00 Banshee w/a sandtrax motor(tulsa ok). Welded crank, lightened flywheel, ported, pro design head, FMF Fattys w/FMF silencers, K+N Filter. Yellow powdercoated frame, +2 a-arms, and hubs(wheel and axle). Cascade seat cover, Blue fullbore front plastics w/chrome grill. White rear plastics. 90% holeshots on Douglas .190's The quad has been on the sandtrax dyno. It puts out 72hp at the rear wheels.
  12. Check the 2nd to the last line in my sig. One of 37 built in '69 48,000 original mile and the 2nd owner. Definately no replacement for displacement........
  13. LMAO. I do bow to your greatness banshee76179. You have opened my eyes. Thanks.
  14. Sandstar. you need to come in from the sun dude. Did you not read what I posted earlier. I'll type slower for you. NOT ALL STATES ARE TITLE STATES FOR QUADS/BIKES(OFFROAD). You get a MSO Manufacturers Statment of Origin. If you title it, its up to you. I have my shee and a rappy, both w/NO titles. Maybe in cali or Az you might have a problem selling, but not here. Bills of sale are the norm. If you can get the MSO, great, but most of the time there lost.
  15. Talked to Rick last week. He still had the shee at that time. The other guys attorney was trying to get him to cut a deal. Usually the last gasp for a lawyer without a case. As of then he hadn't dialed in the quad, but thought he was going to keep it. Sandstar, what can I say. Your still a If you had a clue, you'd know not all states are title states for off road quads/bikes. Usually after the 2nd or 3rd owner the MSO is lost and all you get is a bill of sale.
  16. LOL, Rick ya dumb ass. After I showed you my scar you still didn't learn. J/K. I guess I'll be the odd one. Burned my right leg on my Fatty's.
  17. Man I like my raptor, but don't think its worth this much http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...2475136725&rd=1
  18. I've rode a couple c-dales. They ran pretty good. I wouldn't be afraid to have one as a 2nd ride. ATK has taken them over and parts are available. They do require alot of maintenance, and you can chase glitches forever if you don't know what your looking for. As far as the price. About a month ago there was a dealer in Tomball Tx. That was advertising new cannibals at cycle traderonline for $3995. Hope this helps.
  19. AAAHHHHHH, pure stupidity on my part. My tech 8's were sitting in the trailer. I figured what could happen I'm just going to go out a warm it up a bit, then I'll come back and get dressed. Oh well, all healed now. Sorry for getting off your original topic Holyman.
  20. LOL, Shorts weren't the problem. It was the lack of riding boots.
  21. Rick: you know what I think. Check the diesel forums. There wan't much good said about the new 6.0 ford motor when it first came out. MY next personal truck will be another dodge. The last one was our construction rig. It was sold w/over 170k on it. It still never used a drop of oil between changes. The only time it was in the shop was to put the rear air bags in. It guess that doesn't really count, it was our shop it was in.
  22. I'll have to disagree w/you Dune Ratt. My 13 year old hauls ass on his banshee. As far a poor parenting goes. Hes been riding since he was 4. Started on a Yamaha moto-4. Then went to a KTM 50. From there to a TTR 125L and now his banshee. Maybe if a parent buys one and just throws there kid on it, I'd agree w/you. But you can't make a blanket statment like that. Some of us parents do spend time w/our kids and teach them how to ride.
