This is the first time I've seen the majority response saying twist! As stated before it is rider preferance, but once you get used to it you will not go back. I can't belive how many duners I hear say " my thumb is sore" ... never heard anyone say their wrist is tired. Stick with the twist.

I don't use them on mine (low elevation in glamis......plenty of air), but yes they will work if your situation requires the use of reed spacers

last time I raced a 450 and beat him by at least 5 bike lengths, the fucker went to get a gun . guess he was a badass when he saw me on the old ladies warrior, but when i showed up on mine he got served shovels full of sand off my extremes. what an asshole, that still fires me up thinking about that fuck knuckle

i had to destroy my axle ................only a thor hammer , soaking it in oil for a day and 2 hours of pounding either end of the axle, then it startd to walk, but fought me all the way out

It will only start in neutral now. Does the clutch sensor need to be shorted? What is the best way ? I'm sure I could figure it out , but I'm stuck at work for the next 6 hours with little to do. later

Showed up at the dunes in the evening of last monday. Started drinking some suds , then 3 of us decided to go for a night ride. I took the old lady's warrior because the lights are a lot better than the lazerstars on the banshee. Anyway, we go for a good ride to the hill drinking more suds along the way, stop at the top of the hill. Some guy on a 450 starts running up and down right by us, we just kept drinking, this guy seems to be trying really hard to get me to race him on the warrior. We finish our beer head back to camp. Back at camp I had some champagne for valentines day, needless to say I drank a bottle, then suggested we take my banshee over to the hill and run him. My buddies on their predators came along. At the hill he wasted no time to line up next to me I give him a half bike lead , we take off , dead even , I miss my 3rd to 4th shift , screw it leave it in 3rd, we come to the top dead even. I am pissed and drunk. Pull down for round 2. I gave him the half bike lead again, Hit the 3 to 4 shift had him by at least 10 bike lengths, when I looked back leaned over and roosted him. He tried to dodge .... I looked back again ... leaned ... roosted. Get to the top hootin' and hollerin' to my buddies, they were cracking up. Then this guy comes to the top to start shit. " whats your problem? I got a problem with you pussy" me " Don't be a sore looser because you bought a bike you don't know what to do with. " variuos profanities, I tell him go ahead and do something he gets on his quad goes to his truck , we hear him open the door and start yelling at his old lady. We figured he was going for a gun His old lady was yelling back , he was yelling to us at the top of the hill . Hell with it I would rather apologize than get shot , we go down to his truck "sorry dude that was a dick thing I did" "forget it" "fine" my buddy " what do have done to that 450?" "alba pipe , I'm still breaking it in though" At that point we went back to camp , laughed , drank , and loaded our guns he ended up leaving shortly after, I felt kind of bad , but screw em' I'm glad he was educated on the food chain of atvs sorry about the book

The reed gasket on the left cylinder developed a leak while riding in the dunes. It had actually mushroomed the gasket out. Immediatly the bike would backfire due to the cylinder running lean. Shut it down and towed it back to camp. I' m going to replace the gaskets tomorrow. I have'nt heard of this happening before. Oh well, just thought I would share. Oh, yeah the stainless radiator hoses worked great on both quads out there.

I had the same problem, check the lock washers on the 14mm bolts that hold the carrier to the swing arm. Mine was over tightened and the washers had separated. The chain would loosen after one ride. Replaced them and the chain has stayed exactly at .9mm of slop.( I used a tape measure after the first few rides to make sure it did not budge even slighty.

I normally use the $6 a quart maxima mtl fluid , but decided to try atf this time with a new clutch in the quad. I ran the PISS out of it this weekend, fanning the clutch and duning at a brisk pace, could not tell one bit of difference in shift quality or otherwise. I might be looking at running this stuff instead because its so much cheaper , and I change the tranny fluid after every trip to the dunes .

baaaah!! I ride mostly mx on an rm 250 and swapping from that to the banshee is seamless as far as the twist throttle is concerned. When I get on to my warrior which still has a thumb , that bothers me after a few hours of riding.

Just ordered mine , should be here next week, I can't wait to add it to my red anodized asv levers and clamps.

go with the twist , save your arthritis problems till you're a little older. Once you get used to using a twist throttle, a thumb throttle is uncomfortable

tornado throttle this looks cool as all hell before next dune trip , I will try one out
