  1. Ahh, this recently happened to me on my banshee and m yRM 250, I was running av gas and 927 and neither bike would start , it was maybe 40 degrees or so. drained the bowl on the quad and the oil was dripping after the fuel drained, I pulled the carb( I run a single) and there was little pools of oil that looked very thick. Same exact thing on the dirtbike when I pulled the carb . now I just run VP110 with 927 without any problems as of 2.5 months
  2. try d&m these guys built my motor and were very nice, they are banshee specilaists and had the fastest twin at king of the hill on t day. they are a little far at 35th ave and glendlae , but I made the trek from cooper and chandler and it was worth it. Duners is no longer duners , they are now richards atv with new staff they are good but I would rather sent the motor to D&M.
  3. I 've been thowing money at this car for 10 years. I learned the hard way its more about tuning than throwing parts on it. 4. damn it felt good to feel 16 #s of boost again, after a year of having this motor apart, I finally got off my ass and got it in the car. I can't wait to play once I leave work ....... ricers beware
  5. yeah , thats the way I did it, I'll take the cover off again and try and set it a last time
  6. took the slack out at the lever , then adjusted the screw with the locknut on the clutch to alignment marks, cushions are removed, less than 5 hours on new hinson basket , and the plates were soaked in oil prior to installing ????
  7. did a search , can't find anything syptom wise , the quad still rolls in gear with the clutch pulled in and will not roll when let out, I did pull the adjuster screw out but nothing behind that..... the adjuster moves the arm with the alignment marks freely, the marks are slightly off maybe 1/8 " twords the right side of the quad. still have slippage in mid rpm range help
  8. what would be the syptoms of this senario? how is the ball and rod removed? pull the adjustment screw and lock nut out and they sit behind there? thanks
  9. Thanks for reading this: I recently fried my clutch out at the dunes , it was a barnett unit with a hinson basket, it was set up at the engine builders shop. Anyway, I have done a few clutch replacements on my dirtbikes with no problems , figure why not on the quad. So I ordered an EBC kevlar clutch and a hinson pressure plate. I noticed the ebc kit has one more plate than the barnett unit before installing. Well the new clutch is in and adjusted to the service manual but the performance is about the same with a lot of slipping mid to top. I am wondering if the extra plate in the ebc unit will throw the alignment marks to addjust the clutch free play off? Any help would be great , otherwise , its back to the shop after 3 dune trips. thanks again guys
  10. Do you guys think a hinson pressure plate is worth the $? Any better than the stocker? I already have the hison basket , just wondering if I should throw any thing else in there while the covers off. thanks
  11. What is the spec to torque the 5 bolts on the clutch boss? putting in a ebc kevlar setup after my barnett burned up at the dunes this weekend. thanks
  12. I have a 33 on mine , my engine is not ported but has the head shaved , timing , flywheel and so on, and by the recomendation of the engine builder its fine but full porting would need a 35.
  13. it it has the fastest top speed of any thing at the drags hmmm.............
  14. I run the 14/41 with 20" extremes I really don't see a reason to change it. Mine is a duner but will hold its own and then some at the hill.
