  1. Yes , I am going , I always camp directly south of comp in buttercup , just slightly up the dunes. Ah wait , I can't go , I have a class at work on the first. SNAP
  2. Whelp , I 'm goinn anyway, Thinking about taking my RM 250 out, its been 2 years since i DONE THE 2 wheel thing out there
  3. * * no one wants to go to butter cup with me sniff
  4. Looks like a lot of u KANSAS dirt bags hang around. When I was stationed at FT. Riley , I remenered how much I missed AZ and the women there. But there were still the ladies in Junction City or KFAs (kansas farm animals). We'd go hoggin' cause thats all there was. Manhattan had some decent looking ones at K State, but , damn I don't think there was an available female over 16 in that god forsaken place. Would I go back to visit? Sure, the weed was pretty damn good there around Wakefield.
  5. Do it , to it . I use mine 100 % of the time in the dunes , works perfect. Gas milege seems real close to the other banshees in the group, I don't think there are any real gains there.
  6. got one here, huge improvement over stock setup much easier to tune , and cleans up the engine area nicely here is a pic 2 into 1 belive
  7. I have a set of 20 s and a set of 21 s. The first set I bought was a used set of 22 s. I did'nt like them ... they just looked huge the 21 looks a lot better
  8. I used a 2 inch piece of fuel line , clamped it to the top of the pole and clamped the other to the base of the light, I'll try the continous lighting trick that should be about perfect .
  9. I did the tire fly idea , looks pretty damn good if I my say so, can't wait to try it on tuesday
  10. That s a sight I hate 2 see. When are you guys going out again ? I have a group of 3 that will be up for a south dunes ride this month.
  11. Curious as to what some of you have as a setup, I got done doing the warrior , so when we stop on beer breaks at night we can flip a switch and light the bulb on the whip comes on only. With the banshee I was looking to try something differrent.
  12. I can't find the damn thing anywhere, I thought it was on the left rear wiring but , i guess I was sorely mistaken ,,, any help would be great!!
  13. I had that happen to me earlier this year, the piece looked like it was 3/4" in length and maybe 1/4" diameter. I was told it was part of the shifting mechanism that had worn down slightly and fell out of it seat. A new one was ordered and replaced . The location is under the clutch cover.
  14. Well , they have been in my house for a week now, I have no complaints yet. answer to the stepchild question...... no , I will not marry this woman until her kids are out of the house ( one left). As for helping out around the house, I will let his mom communicate what needs to be done. I will be there to help If asked, but I won't force myself into situations that can be handled mother and son. I'm going to take him to practice at speed world to take my warrior around the mx track, my buddy with his predator will keep an eye on him. I'll take my rm250 so he can watch in awe how lucky he is to have a riding coach such as myself.
  15. I really don't know of anyone getting married with out living together first , kind of a big decision to make without knowing what your getting . This kid knows his dad is a rat bastard. He knows he owes his mom about 175grand in back child support, he is 16 and does'nt ever want to go see his dad. His mom practically forces him to go over and see him on christmas. I really don't care one way or the other how he and his dads relationship is . But guess what , if your in my house and your fukin' up ,,, its fair game on your ass.
  16. thanks alot guys, I feel a lot better about this , thanks for the replies
  17. I'm not one to be a father figure trust me. Thats his fathers job, and I won't take that from him. I grew up with a step dad so I know exactly what you guys are saying. It definatly was'nt easy, thats why I'm a little worried. I ve taken him to the dunes a few times, got another quad for him and the old lady, he definatly likes that, and is turning out to be a hell of a rider, we get along pretty good actually but I know how fast shit changes when people move in .
  18. I guess after 3 years my gilfriend is going to move in at the end of the month. Shes great, we get along , dont' argue you know. I'm a little nervous though because her 15 year old is moving in too. He is a good kid, not so great in school. His father has pretty much left his mother to raise him , but only recently communicated with him. I'm a little worried about how problems will be handled, anyone with experience here, your comments are appreciated. I really hope it works out , but this is a big adjustment for me, and for them I'm sure. I guess this is an opportunity for me to give the kid a little more than his dad did.
  19. You guys all must have motor homes, last year I went to the south dunes in late september I think it was 110 out in the sand and yuma was in the mid to low 90s. Anyway that was a hot sum bitch, with no escape into any AC , just had an EZ up and slept in the back of the truck. The riding was good in the evening, and before 11:00 in the morning. How many going don't have any motorhomes or trailers? I know it sounds kinda weak , but ac sure is nice when your not riding
  20. Well , I think I'm going to get some dual rate non resivior elkas from alba, they run about $460 shipped, for riding in the dunes these should be all I really need, I get pics up when they get here!!
  21. Sorry dudes, I was just asking about the shock itself, if the 87-90 was any different from 91 -05.
  22. Thanks for the replies, yes I asked them about the shocks only, they told me it would be an additional 50-60 bux for shocks on a j arm set up. However , it seems they either misunderstood what I asked or trying to yank my chain. Going to order a set from them any way I guess.
  23. I always thought they were, and I'm getting ready to order a new set in a day or two , called alba , they told me they are different and will not interchangle, I can't see why this is the case, the stock lower a arms are identical and the yamaha front shock part number is the same for all years. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't understand why they won't work.
  24. Thanks for the replies, now then for sticctly aggressive dune riding and hill racing I am looking at those or the elka dune edition. The elkas are from what I understand non adjustable and non resivior type, and also more expensive. So , between the 2 types (works dual rate resivior / elka dune edition) what would you guys go with? thanks again
  25. Any one had experince with these? CLICK HERE Seems like the price is pretty good
