I chose not to see the video but when I turned on the radio Wednesday on my drive home they were playing the sound bite on the radio. Nick's screams while being decapitated was the most disturbing shit I have ever heard, only second to the horror you could hear in peoples voices as they watched people jumping from the Trade Tenter's twin towers and then watching it fall on 911. It made me fucking ill. I was going to make a post on this topic but I was too pissed to do it yesterday and would have sound like a raving lunatic and get all political in a banshee forum, but since it's an open topic now, scew it I'm fuckin pissed! The fact is that they have identified the guy that was the leader of the terrorist group that murdered Nick Burg as one of Osama Binladins top operatives and the murder was done before the news of the prisoner abuse scandle broke. His killing had noting to do with the scandle. They just released the video and said that it was in retaliation to the prisoner abuse afterwords. They took Nick Burgh hostage and tried to use him as a trade for some terrorists being held in the Abu grabass prison. I'm so discusted with the whole thing I don't even know what to think! The piece of shit media and extreme liberals (Ted Kenedy - WTF is wrong with you dumb fucks in Massachusetts keep re-electing this jackass?) keep undermining the U.S.'s war efforts, publically stating things that border on sedition and treason, and going ape shit on the dumbest scandles ever which is fueling the terrorists effort to get attention and create media controvercy and further puting our troops in harms way! Hello! Does stacking naked Iraqis even compare to sawing a mans head off? But the media is still trying to make a bigger issue out of prisoner abuse. Prisons suck, shit happens even inside the U.S. prisons all the time, GET OVER IT! If this bull shit doesn't stop this country will never win another war ever again, much less this one. Our military is being punished, pussified and hands tied to do what is really neccessary by politics comming out of our own country. I can't take this shit any more! For the bleading heart idiots, wake up and smell the roses! I'm sick of hearing your empty words, time for action!

If it is anything like the streetbike wars, Yamaha had the R1 and was the untouchable openclass liter bike and then Suzuki topped it with a lighter more powerful GSXR 1000, so I wouldn't put it past Suzuki to be able to top the YZF450R.

I agree with Oldturtle, If the robbers aren't posing an immediate danger to anyone else, and if they can be identified and caught later, then let them speed away. It's almost enevitable that someone will get hurt if they chase people like that and if they let them go momentarily, probably no one will get hurt and they will have a 99% chance of catching them probably 10 minutes after they would have anyway. Of coarse they could commit more crimes after bing let get away but the odds are better than chasing them into innocent bystanders. -
What Jetting With New Port Job
Ducman replied to No Limit Powersports's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Also the static compression may go down but the dynamic compression when running WOT in the power band could go up. Again, your builder/porter should know if the 19cc domes will work w/no detonation and pump gas. I'd guess 19cc domes will probably be OK if you can do it on stock ports and 20cc domes but who knows. The increase in power probably wouldn't be worth the risk. -
Looking For Dyno Info On Rocket Inframes.
Ducman replied to TRUTH's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
From what I've gathered from a couple sources, Rockets have a very similar HP curve to CPI's with just a hair more bottom and mid and probably a slight bit less on top. I've been told that with a full drag port and supporting mods the CPI's will rev higher and make more HP than the Rockets, but overall the Rockets perform beter than CPI's with somewhat milder porting and mods. Why ya trying to rev to the moon on stock ports though? -
Here is a web based version of BenBB's jetting FAQ To check for the 2mm ring (plug chop method, not just reading plug color) at the base of the plug I throw in a new set of plugs and then run it up through the gears at WOT and pull 6th for several seconds, pull in the clutch and shut it down.

Went Striper Fishing Today @ Lake Texoma
Ducman replied to sredish's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Dang! Thim are some hungry fish. I have fished in Kona HI on my step dads boat and hauled in quite a few ahi and skipjack tuna between 5 and 20lbs but I doubt 226 Lbs worth in that short of a time. Hope you have a big appetite for fish! -
Z400, I don't think the EX400 has reverse.

Damb, that's pretty disturbing. Sorry it had to happen to such innocent people and that you had to see it. -
Sounds like a lot of work, but a great Idea and very generous on your part. I think if you had a little foot note as to who posted each piece of "How to" info you technically wouldn't need permission to compile them into one doccument since they were posted publically in the first place and your are giving them the credit, not plagiarizing, unless you were trying to make money on the final product, but its good to inform everyone your doing this project with their posts. Also, if people had a specific question about one of the steps they could PM that person with a question. I'll throw out a Good Job! Addaboy in advance.

Yeah, I think they were charging $18 for a 12 pac of Budwiser only $30 if you bought a whole case of bud. The choises were very slim, but you could Reinier or Red Hook by the individual can for like $4. People that smugled a bunch of hard alky or some good smoke made a hell of a good profit in the dorm and/or made a lot of friends.

Twin air has been around for ever are reliable and their filters use a good duel stage foam and are long lasting. If your going to replace the filter get one with an adapter plate that bolts to the side of the airbox and the filter connects to it with a rubber coupling around the adapter and a hose clamp so you get a foolproof air tight seal and you can take the air box lid off (W/rejeting of coarse). Get a kit with foam outerwear too, most will come with it.

That sucks man. Your atourney is a dump truck. If the DA is comming up with all these offers instead of charging you with a crime then its because they know their case is weak! I know its the scaryier option but I say tell the DA - FU and fight it. Get a new lawyer if you have to. Take it from me, if they think there is a chance their going to losse, and it seams like you have a solid case in your favor to me, they will drop it when push comes to shove. They go for this lets make a deal shit because they have nothing to loose and you do so they take advantage of that.

I'd make sure to put the air filter on for each jetting test because even a good flowing filter will restrict the air flow some and cause you to be rich once you put it back on if you have it jetted correctly with no air filter. Maybe a large K&N settup would be the same as no filter, but I doubt it.

Yup, try turning air screws our 1/2 to 1 turn and see if that improves throttle at 1/8th. Need to lean the pilot a bit with the warmer thinner air.
-
Check to see if the air screws are adjusted evenly (same # of turns out on each carb) and that the carb slides are synchronized. Does the big puff of smoke happen only near startup or all the time?

I'm not sure about this but I installed Boysen power reeds in my wifes Blaster and in my Banshee and they appear to be the exact same reeds, I don't know for sure cause I didn't do them at the same time, just looked to be the exact same size reed and cage. Unless the stock blaster reed is stiffer or something I don't see what difference it would make.

Turbos need hot expanding gasses to always go in the same direction (out of the cylinder and not backwards) to spool the turbine wheel which is why I think they make much more sense on a 4 stroke. Pipes on a banshee push exhaust gasses back into the cylinder before the piston closes the exhaust port which boosts cylinder pressures way up, basically doing a similar job as a turbo except your not getting as much fresh air in as with the turbo. Having a turboed 2 stroke would be like having a turbo and a supercharger at the same time. I guess that behind the expansion chamber the exhaust gasses must always be flowing out and not backwards like near the head. I think it would be a nightmare to tune a turbo 2 stroke because the exhaust is being handled in a completely different manner in which 2 stroke cylinders are made to handle. It must work well when done correctly though because I knew a guy that had a lot of cool toys and he said he had a turboed Kawi tripple that would lift the front end off the ground and do a no clutch power wheelie at 100mph. I think if you could find a way to supercharge a banshee it would be a lot easier to tune than a turboed banshee.

Screw that! Paps Blue Ribbon's only $6 a case. I'd rather drink sweat out of my shoe than the Beast! When I was working at a salmon cannery on the Bristol Bay in Alaska (South Naknek to be exact = BFE^2) to make some college money about 10 years ago I had to pay $15 for a 12 pac of Pabst Blue Ribbon!

jinx44, thats funny, the black alblum got me into Metalica too, and ya gotta love Fuel if your a drag race fan! But I'll agree that It just doesn't get any better than the oldschool Metalica with the clasical guitar intros - One's my fav. Yeah, I got the new Stone Sour CD, pleasently surprised on how hard rockin the CD was, definitly good banshee dune thrashin music.

Holly Shit! I highly doubt that the people who haven't been to Sand mountain realize what a long steep ass slope your talking about that is on the other side. When sandnureyez says 600' he is talking vertical feet from top to bottom! Probably 1000' slope distance and steep as f*ck. Its freaky just riding up the backside and going straight over the rasor to me much less flying over it from the other direction at WOT. Dude! Your bike must have flew for freaken days and dropped a hell of a long way in the air before it hit the steep ass slope! Damb thats crazy! I'm glad your at least semi-OK and not That video has got to be seen on HQ!

Preventative Measures Before Going To The Dunes
Ducman replied to sredish's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I lube the chain up real good before my last ride in the dirt and then wire brush it clean and clean the rear sprocket before going to the doons and almost no sand sticks to it at all. I'm careful when brushing the top of the chain not to hurt the o-rings. -
I think the Al Kiada hijackers and Osama Binladin actually came from Saudi Arabia who are supposed to be our allies, but are actually one of the most strict/radical Islam nations who probably want to see us all dead.
