  1. Calling them directly would probably be the easiest for you - they seem really good to deal with
  2. A friend put one on his YFZ450 a few months ago and likes it. There was some posts on Bluetraxx not very long ago about them and I think most people were happy with them.
  3. I have AMS Sidewinders and they hook up good - similier to ITP Sandstars
  4. Stock cast pistons are not lighter then forged pistons.....I weighed my stock pistons and my Vito's SS pistons and the Vito's were a lot lighter
  5. I did a while back and there was one wire not used ( I can't remember the color) but the rest of the wires where all the same color on both CDI's
  6. Take the 2 bolts out of the back of the air box then push it forward and lift up on the front of the box until it clears them pins.
  7. All years will work - you just have to change plugs on the CDI. Just splice yours on the new one. The wire colors all should be some
  8. Whenever I ordered stuff out of the US and it comes by UPS I end up paying tax on the value of the part and a brokerage fee of about $50 - so it usually does end up costing about a hundred dollars
  9. I bought a set of Elka front shocks last week and I asked them about putting wider a-arms on later and they said all I would need to do is put stiffer main springs on the shocks (takes 5 minutes)
  10. I ordered a new set of front shocks directly from Elka on monday afternoon and got them today - 3 days later - pretty hard to beat that for service
  11. Yes it will work but check all jetting because blasters have bigger pilots, mains, and neddle valves, but i'm not sure if the slide and needle are the same or not. The carb bodies are the same so the jets from one will fit the other
  12. I'm going to buy a set of billet intake manifolds and wondering what peoples opinions are. Is the Pro Design intake manifolds the best kind. How do Vito's Bulls Eyes compare??
  13. I used 1 1/4" studs in an old set of Pure Sport Bandits. Drilled through the tire and put the stud through with a fender washer on the inside and outside and tightened it up real tight. Could run a long time before the studs loosened enough to leak any air and when it did i tightened them up with a ratchet in a few minutes. Must use 4 -6 ply tires or the studs would tear out from cornering on a tight track. I found normal screw-in ice studs weren't much good for a Banshee on a tight track
  14. Duncan Racing runs 530 chains on their Banshee that they race in the 12 hour Point de Vaux in France. Give them a try.
  15. Cascade Innovations makes a bracket for this problem (less then $20). Web site www.cascade-innovations.com Phone 503 663-2887
  16. I think Duncan Racing uses them so they must be pretty good
  17. I have them in my Vito's carbs and really like them. They give you lots of adjustment and only takes a few seconds to make jetting changes. If you travel up to the mountain I'm sure you'd like them too.
  18. yes
  19. Shortyracing.com They take 10% off your first order so you pay $500
  20. I just bought a set of AMS Sidewinders at a local dealer, I think they come from Parts Canada which most any local dealer can order from.
  21. A friend of mine blew the rod bearing on the crank of his yfz 450. There's not that many hours on the bike, anyone know if this is a common problem?
  22. Yes I did the plug check right but I never seen plugs that were almost white on the tip and then black up inside. My compression is about 150 psi, what would the plugs be like if the compression is too high for the fuel? It shouldn't be the problem because I run hi-test gas in it. Where do you notice spark-knock the most when it's lugging or at high RPM?
  23. I've always run Yamalube @ 32:1 and never had oil coming out the silencers until recently.
  24. My Banshee is sputtering when I hold wide open but working great up to there. I did a plug check with fairly new plugs and the end looked lean but were black up inside the plug. The plugs are dry but I have oil coming out the end of my silencers which I didn't think was normal because it never did that before.
  25. Vito's carbs are a version of Keihin's PWK D-slide with an adjustable main power jet. I got the 30mm ones and really like them.
