hi,if u can wait a while,im workin on a set of real carbon cut fenders for mine,maybe in about 2 months time,money and time is the only problem!

she runs rich on standard so i thought id try her as shee is,put new plugs in so tomorrow i do a plug chop and see,old plugs were pretty black,i run 25-1 full syn,yeh i know its a lot but i ride about 1000km a month allways at high rpm.

whipped her apart today to hone and new pistons and while i was there i thought fcuk it im gonna port her!! so i opend up the transfers a little,raised the exhaust 1,5 mil,and knife edged the inlet,and widened the inlet ports by 1 mil,matched the piston windows with the inlet,milled the head .25,snorkel off,standard jetting,standard pipe,took her for a steady ride,and was pleasantly surprised on how much shee improved on the midrange,but seams to of lost on top end a bit??? watcha think?? should i of not messed with her?

what my boss aez iz,we first pre temper the pistons at 250-270 degrees for half an hour,let em cool,then a micro thin film is sprayed on and back in the oven same temp and timed at 40 mins.the teflon coat we use is green colour and is supposed to glide better and retain oil better,reduce friction and realy does last,ive seen pistons with tef after 3,000km,and was realy surprised about how the coat held up. what about the proxs? anyone?

hi there,my shees now lost a lot of power,one year old,15,000 street km,and have ordered some prox pistons because ive heard they last a bit longer on the street than wisecos,i wanted to get the vito super stocks but i need them this week and ordering from america takes too long and costs too much. my questions are,: are the proxs ok and has anyone any input on teflon coating pistons? my boss swears by it,but hes a fourstroke man and im not entirly convinced its a good idea on a 2 stroke????????? any help will be greatly appreciated,thanks.

anybody know how long a shock id need and what spring rate for a linkless set up? shees gotta be real low,low enough that theres not enough room for the shadow!

try also goldspeed and the silver series too,silvers are harder,good for sweet long drifts

keepin her opened up for long time aint a problem i dont think,ive done about 15,000km in one year of street riding,and shee gets a right good hammering! not one problem at all.but im only runnin stock,only 3-4 degree advance,motul full synthetic (sometimes castrol full synthetic).shee holds up well,i expected a lot more problems sooner,but not one ,when she blows then i tweek her up some! im runnin street tyres,cross tyres are shit on the street,they hold for about 1,5-2,000 miles,and handle like jelly wheels!

no, the other way around,a bigger front sprocket will give u more top speed,1 bigger on the front is about the same as 2,7 smaller on the back

mine says 105kmh in the road reg papers and should have the restricter screw on thumb throttle screwed in until theres 13mm stickin out,that should be about 20 hp!! but i got a twist grip so i bored a hole in it and put a dummy restricter screw in fcuk ridin 20hp banshee,crap man! the only quad thats allowed full power is the kfx 700,or banshee if it was road regd before 2001.all quads now must be strangled to 20ps. i dont know anyone who rides a restricted shee,but if the fuzz catches u,wave goodbye to ya licence and an empty bank account

sometimes it can be a problem,just remember to take a liter of oil with u and keep a check on where the next and last station is or was! when i go more than 200 miles i make sure i got a few liters in a can strapped to the rear grab bar,just for emergencies i mix 25-1 cos shee gets hammered for a long time,havent had any plugs foul or any probs,only the winter salt has bitten her quite a lot,i get her powder coated soon,and my new carbon fenders!! fcukin yeh man!!!!

in two years you have absolutly no chance to road register a two stroke quad,no way hosay! shees cant get a legitimate street reg over here anymore,im lucky cos mine was regd befor this new exhaust emmissions law came in,you can get it if you put a kat on it but it aint gonna run at all! all new shees over here are registered as having a katilysator but of course havent got one,if the cops stop you and take a look and even sometimes take yer ride with em and give her a real total check out,no kat means no street reg,means no insurance ect ect,fine over here for no kat or open power is about 3,000 dollas,sometimes if it realy looks tweeked and open power theyll open up the motor to realy f*ck ya! i know someone who got his ride back in a few boxes and a big fine alongside,ive bin stopped a few times,i ride open power but so far been lucky they aint realised!!! or cant be bothered to speak broken english!only takes the right cop that wants to get browny points from the boss

.25 is not standard,.25 means its been rebored one size more.as for the little holes,sounds like it was pre-detonating? but im not an expert,someone correct me?
