  1. hey,i was wondering what to do with my fenders cos they are all scuffed and scratched,so i thought id do an experiment,i took my nose peice and glass blasted it at a distance of about 30cm,the glass gets rid of small scratches and leaves the plastic a nice pastle satin type finnish,and the other scratches are less noticable,tomorrow i do em all!!

  3. oops,sorry i deleted my post instead of modifying it! anodizing is realy only a micro coat,ya think it would make such a difference?
  4. does anybody know anything about anodizing? does the surface of the metal to be coated have to be smooth?is glass blasting enough? i mean,i wanna anodize my motor cases,is it poss?
  5. ok,have u got an air wrench?if so take the joint back out,get a chisell and hammer and make a couple of light marks on the shaft,(not enough to do make em dangerous i mean) then put em back in and tap with a rubber or plastic hammer,take your air wrench and at same time put pressure on the joint and quickly as poss drive it on,but make sure uve got a good feel for how tight ur doing it,its very easy to overtighten them with an air wrench,also try recutting the threads and using a new nut,seeya..
  6. na the guys real good,if for any reason its not good enough he said hell do em again,hes a biker so does it cheap to help fellow bikers,he did i trike frame for us in red and was so good,the colour looked deep enough to jump in!! the silver im gonna do my frame in looks almost chrome.the only thing that will let my ride down is the plastics,full scratched and shitty,but as i said probably a few dozen times im working on a full carbon set for her,nows time to give fullgas and get em finnished,we see eh.
  7. hi guys,so ive finally decieded to give her a full makeover,the frame is bein blasted tomorrow,powdered on monday,i got the swinger and rear axle powdered by the local coaters as a test piece in a new silver he got,i am well impressed cos it looks wickid!! so i do the frame the same colour,total cost,swinger,axle,hubs,frame,a arms all zinc coated first,and pipes coated ,(including blasting),100 euros!!!!!!!!! fckin yeh for once in my life i got a good deal without being ripped off! shee was 1 year old but looked 10 years old,realy.on the streets over here theres loads of salt in the winter,and it took its toll on her,stone chipped all over rusty,im not gonna use her off road anymore,wanna make her into a real streetfighter for a living i got a digi camera now so i post some pics soon.seeya

  10. ive done a search but still cant come up with a proper explanation about stroker and longrod stuff,please please can someone explain what a stroker is and what is needed to make a longrod stroker,and what should be done to the domes,ur help will be greatly appreciated,
  11. ok guys,ive decieded to turn her into a longrod motor with blaster pistons,does that mean sheel be a stroker as well? im still confused about longrodstrokerblasterpistonspaceplatenospaceplatestuff i send off the cylinders to stan stevens in england to redo my porting attempt(was ok but not too impressive),stans been tuning 350s since the year dot and i trust his work.shees also gotta look standard too so i wanna bore out the carbs,what is the maximum size theyl go to or what does anyone recomend i should do to em,i take also the paul ts in black. is it realy neccasery to reshape the combustion chambers,and if so why and what should i be aiming to do? sorry about loads a quessys but i gotta do it! seeya.
  12. yeh,get this, my shee is supposed to be restricted to 15kw,thats about 20hp the gas screw has to be screwed in 12mm,no motor tuning or performance mods allowed,you cant even have a twist gas,but i have and ive installed a dummy gas screw at 12mm,doesnt do anything but none of the cops know the shees not allowed a twistgas,ive fooled a few pigs with it so far,no way will i ride a 20hp shee,fcuk da system,long live open power shees on the streets of bayern!
  13. oooohhhhh yep,there nice,in black they would look a little less obvious i think,do they sound like a baked bean tin like the fmfs,cos they dont impress me,on my rd 400 i had some swarbrick race pipes(hand made) sounded wickid,very solid and "throaty" sound,not at all like a bean tin

  16. hi there,well its difficult here in germany to put different pipes on her,if i do then my street tax,insurance and the licence is void,the cops are hot over here on the quads,im thinking of buying some t 5 pipes cos they come in black and are sort of stock looking,apart from the noise,but i can hush the cans a bit,the fmf and pro circuits have a big logo pressed into em,that would mean an instant 3,ooo euro fine!! anyway my gas, pump gas with 95 octane (sometimes 98) but now theres this new 100 octane shell stuff,my boss tells me that the gas we get over here is a different quality to what u get over the pond,do u know anything about this?as for my jetting,was standard(idiot,i went for one quick spin before i was gonna go to my workshop and change the jets and then shee died!!!) thanks passion,im very privaliged for your answer ( ohhh ive gone week at the knees!) sorry i forgot my head is shaved -27 or 28 (i forgot how much my boss did!) id forget me head if it was loose!
  17. i did a mild home port job,not sure if it was a good idea,i think my exhaust ports might be a little high now,they measure 28.3mm from top of port to top of cylinder,head skimmed,stock pipes,whatya tink? what gas should i be using? and what plugs? i was runnin standard plugs and think i should be runnin the 9`s? just that i melted a piston,the top was nearly complete through,and was melted down to the rings on the exhaust side,hope someone can help me here. thanks ohhh forgot,my elevation is about 7-800 meters.
  18. i was just thinking,ive got some rd 400 rods lying around(complete crank new rebuilt ) and wondered,if i used the rods,would i have a 10 mm longrod? and what or where should i get a spacer plate? do i need blaster pistons or something,i dont know im confused with all this longrodstrokerblasterpistonspacerplatestuff! does someone have the time to give a detailed explanation? (or will even the rd 400 crank fit a shee??)
  19. ok,shees fcuked! took her apart today,the right piston was nearly burnt through in the middle and the exhaust side of the piston at the top down untill the top ring had melted away,(if im explaining myself well enough?) on the back of the piston was big seize marks above windows,bore skuffed and bit of piston stuck on it!!! i couldnt see any obvious air leaks,maybe because i used ypvs base gaskets? (paper).oh well,150 bucks in the pan.
  20. because i put em on when i rebuilt her!!!! got sent ypvs gaskets instead,so anyway i put em on with a bit of silikon,after about 250 miles they both started leakin at the front under the exhausts,so i bodged em up with 2 component glue!! just untill the new ones come,its just that im now wondering if the ypvs are thinner than shees?
  21. thanks a lot zep for prompt reply and help,another thing,can i use ypvs base gaskets for the cyls? they are made of paper and shees are so a graphite matierial with a blue line of silikon as well??
  22. i look tomorrow cos shees in my wkshop,(i borrowed a craptor to come home from wk today,ohmyfcukingodmanwatapieceashit!) but i didnt see anything obvious on the air leak side.could a prob with the reeds make her backfire?
  23. but only the right cyl,when i change plug caps over its still the right cyl. since i ported her ive done over 500 miles,and i must say that once shee seized very slightly,but was ok after..........
  24. hi guys,my shee died on me today,went for a quick spin before i was gonna change the main jets,was full throttle and then the right cylinder lost all power and backfires like a rocket launcher,but real loud too,nearly blows the pipe off the cylinder!,she wont accept any throttle,just coughs and backfires and dies,havent realy looked at her but tryed swappin the plug leads over,no change,there isnt any mechanical noise from the motor,compression feels good,the thing is i ported her myself,does anybody know of anything else that could of broken or gone wrong with the motor,eg, reeds broken or piston skirt damaged ect? carbs are clean,filter is clean,plugs new.help......`??????? cheers.
  25. ok guys,a couple of quezzys 4 ya,i did a mild port job myself,exhaust port higher 1,5 mil,transfers shaped and a mill bigger,intake a mill bigger too,head shaved .27,(timing used to be +4 but i turned it back cos i was worried the crank would separate,now im running standard pipes(aftermarket aint allowed over here,bsatards!) snorkell off,i ordered some jets,i got 210,220 ect up to 300 mains,my altitude is about 7-800 meters,am runnin 98 octane super,my guess is the 240 mains? anyone help me?
