hi there,well i was inspectin my 36mm mikuni tm carbs today and noticed that in the airfilter side of the carbs is the air jet(think pilot? there is no pilot jet in the bowl)but in mine is just a thread for one but no jet in it,now correct me if im wrong but i readsomewhere that they dont have one,just main jet and air screw?? not hadher running yet and dont wanna fcuk her up by bein a twat,can anyone enlighten me please?? thanks lads,seeya

hi everyone,ive got some 36mm tm (maybe tmx?) carbs for mine,my mods are as below,does anybody think they might be a bit big?? another question; what do i need to buy and from where,to fit the carbs to airbox,or should i just junk the airbox in favour of 2 clamp on k+n filters with outerwears? i wont be riding in mud as shee's built for tarmac supermoto.as for jetting i thought id start at 340 mains,apparently the tm/x 36mm have no pilot jet?? is this right? sez in the mikuni handbook.oh my elevation is 300-400m,air temp is average 60f thanks for your help,streetshee. :cheers:

thanks guys,the dealer he bought the shee from said its definatly got 28mm carbs,i dont believe it,but if he swears?not sure of our elevation here,maybe 300m? temp is around 5 degrees. cheers.

hello,i got a mate whos just bought a new 2006 shee ltd,he tells me its got 28mm carbs on it?? is this true? anyway he wants to put some pt mids on and i was wondering what jets ect he should run? his dealer said hell neverget it to run properly without puttin holes in the airbox? watcha thing lads? bike is completly stock apart from a twin air filter.

i cant help u with an address but i had an inline fuel measurement thingy on my van, just a couple of inches long/1 inch wide,was inline on the fuel pipe,dead easy to install(and needed 12v) and in conjunction with the speedo,told me fuel consumption,mpg,trip ect ect. i suppose you could use one just to measure how much fuel ur usin? but of course youl need a battery to feed it. havent got a scoobydoo where you can get one from,try a google search for a fuell meter???
