Runs Good But One Pipe Is Much Hotter Then The Oth

are the carbs sync'd? -
I won't repeat any of the above rants that I agree with but just one thing that was only briefly touched upon... Porn. Now I consider myself an avid porn fan. What I don't get is the trend nowadays of filling 90% of a good quality porn mag with advertisiments for girls doing guys with strapons, peeing, pooing, chicks with dicks, pregnant whores, lactating sluts, animal lovers, closet gays, mature women, fat chicks, and the list goes on... I don't know why the porn industry decided to cateer to the freaks that actually get turned on by this crap. They have mags/videos/websites specifically for all that f'd up shit. No need to polute a perfectly good skin mag with something that makes the average person want to hurl. The peeing thing is the worst! Open up any hustler printed in the last 2 years and you'll be scoping this layout of some hot chick putting herself in positions that you only dream your girl could do, then turn the page and she's urinating all over herself! WTF is up with that?? Who gets turned on by that? I don't know when the vote was taken, but I wasn't invited.

It really all depends on what you're willing to spend. The +3 arms are going to require long travel shocks and longer brake lines. So if you're willing to drop $2k on the front end then yes the +3 is better. Otherwise you can get a +2 setup with shocks for about half as much. The benefit of the long travel system isn't so much that you'll have more wheel travel, but that there's more shock to compress, thereby allowing you to have better control over how the shock behaves at different points of its travel. As far as the shortenned arm goes, you probably wanna do it, either by buying an aftermarket swingarm or getting MrMatt to cut yours for $100. But you can ride with the stock swingarm just fine on any a arms, you just won't have the hook up that you would with the shorter arm.

Actually the DG is 3/16", as are most skids. The PRM and armadillo are both 1/4".

Dont Yell At Me For Asking This

Yosh is WAY too expensive. The big gun will give it a staccato sound that makes it hard for bystanders to breathe. Most pipes are about the same tho...so look for a pipe in your price range that looks good and sounds the way you want. -

My parents are anti dirt toy people, always will be. My first riding experience was on my buddies '77 yamaha 80. You had to kick it through gears and I could bunny-hop the thing up curbs and over boulders. MY first ride was a 198? yamaha moto4 200cc 4stroke quad (predecessor to the craptor!). I traded a $20 pager for it-the title was hotter than the pipes. Bald tires, no brakes, and a rancho truck shock absorber on the rear to keep the fenders off the tires. Funny thing was, I actually raced this rich punk kid on a banshee and beat him on my heap. On twisty fire roads that quad was king! With the lowered stance of no suspension and the bald tires, I could keep the thing pinned in 4th (top gear) all the way around the loose dirt hairpin corners. We raced about a 2 mile stretch, I had him beat by about a minute at least. Hahaha! -
Mine did that and it turned out that they were way outta sync.

inline coolers bigger the better...

Just do whatever works for you. Regardless, your still trying for the same goal, to know what temp the bike is at and not add any leaks to the system. Try it out and see. -
I must be retarded...that joke made absolutely no sense to me. What does an 80 year old woman taste like? Depends. 3 men, a 25 yr old, a 35 yr old, and a 45 yr old are all applying for the same position at the CIA. They take the 25 yr old, hand him a pistol, and lead him to a door. "Your wife is in the next room," they say, "we need to know that you will do anything we require of you. Go inside and shoot her. You have 10 minutes before we'll unlock this door." So the 10 min. goes by and no shot is heard. Finally they unlock the door and the man, looking somber, hands the gun back and says, " I love my wife too much, I can't do it." They then repeat the test with the 35 yr old and his wife. Once again no shot is heard after the 10 min passes. The man steps out, hands the gun back and says, "I'm sorry, my wife and I have our problems but we're working through them together, I can't shoot her." Finally the test comes to the 45 yr old with his wife. During the 10 minutes no shot is heard, but yelling, screaming, and loud crashing noises are heard. The 45 yr old emerges, sweating and bloodied and says, "some asshole put empty shells in that gun, I had to beat her to death!" A texan visits Alaska and during one of his many rants about how "real men are from texas" one of the alaskans asks him how he faired in the Alaskan Bravery Test. "What's that all about", the texan asks. "First, you have to drink a bottle of whiskey, then you have to wrestle a polar bear, finally you have to survive making love to Big Bertha, the fattest eskimo in alaska". "No problem," the texan replies. He grabs a bottle of whiskey and downs it in one go. Then staggering, he makes his way outside. Screaming, growling, and many viscious sounds come from outside the pub. Finally, the texan opens the door, bloody as all hell, torn clothes hanging from his battered frame. As he staggers in, barely able to walk he slurs, "now....wherrrs thifs big berfa I'ma subbosed to wressle?" Some jokes I remember from the navy: A marine goes to medical for a physical. The doctor tells him that he needs a blood, urine, stool, and semen sample. "Geez doc," the marine replies, "I'm kinda in a hurry, can I just leave my skivvies?" Late one night, a slightly inebriated battleship captain is sitting at the helm of his ship when he notices a light on a head on collision course. He signals, "Please change your course 10 degrees south sir." To which he recieves a signalled reply, "No sir, you change your course 10 degrees north." Infuriated, the captain signals, "I'm a battleship sailer! You change your course!" At which point he recieves the reply, "I'm a lighthouse...your call."

See that small 3/8" hose that comes off the top of your head and goes into the top right side of the radiator? Thats the line that you want to splice the temp gauge into - usually closer to the radiator. I used one of those nylon t's originally and it broke before I even finished hooking everything back up. I used a SS fitting we had at work and it worked, but its really bulky. I've since welded up a SS 'y' fitting that will work better, I just haven't installed it. I can grab a pic tonight but won't be able to post until tomorrow. You'll need a few short lengths of increasing diameter hose to match the 1/8" diameter thermometer to the 3/8" hose. -
Your garage/workshop/kitchen. Whatever just get some polish and some sandpaper and do it yourself.

Don't ban the shit recipiant! I showed all my buddies at work this thread and all of em were sayin, "i wonder what the guy said that got the box". Well now we know. Best part is, after seeing his attitude, every bit of guilt I felt for laughing about the shipping of a cleveland steamer to him is gone. Now I wish we'd all had a chance to add a cheese danish of our own to that box. So to INSTIGATOR...post your address and we'll all ship you something, and we'll pay the shipping fees gladly!

I've heard that PRM is about the best out there for protection.

Oops, did a double post somehow.

Add some grease to the end of the puller to help it slide on the shaft.

Bought 200 Watt Stator Now Which Lights ?
Wallrat replied to bigtreads's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Sorry my reply took so long but I had to get my bike back together before I could take the pictures of the mounting. Here's how its setup - keep in mind that I bought the bike this way so I have no idea how different this mount is from stockers... Oh and as a side note, I've got a buddy with the same lights that he mounted with a handlebar mount on his 250r. It looked to be your typical ricky stator or baja designs type of handlebar mount. -
I run both ad aware and spybot. Both are free and no matter which one I run first, the other always finds something the other one missed. Download em both. Its free.

Dual K&N's with outerwears in okay condition - pretty bent, melted outwear on one part, some holes in outwears. Will take $25 + shipping or trade for parts - if you've got decent parts that are worth more than the filters then maybe I'll be paying you. Tell me what you got to trade, I always need stuff but especially: black or yellow radiator/gas tank plastic cable luber chain breaker stainless or alum. radiator cover stock upper arms Here's a pic showing the worst of the bends plus the melted outerwear goo on the filter. I also faced the biggest hole on each outerwear towards the camera.
-
I would trade mine but mine are pretty jacked. Don't think you want em.
-
I'll be taking 6 of those: 3 whites, 3 silvers. Now thats $37 I owe ya.
-
MrMooney I sent you a PM, still got the swingarm?
-
I did the same thing with my gloves and it put a big deep pile of melted goo on the pipe. Steel wool didn't do shit except fall apart. I had to use a scotch-brite pad to take it off, then the steel wool did a great job making it shiny again.

If it hits 200* shut her down and let her cool off - or just cruise for a few minutes to bring it down. Oh and when you start her up, wait until you hit 100* to make sure she's warm.
