  1. Its caused by not having the proper angles in your suspension. When the arms travel up and down, the tie rod should follow a similar arc. If it doesn't, then on bumps the wheels will toe in/out causing the bike to veer one way or another.
  2. Happy bday man!
  3. If you haven't opened her up how do you know the hubs and basket were bad? Clutches go bad all the time, rarely does it trash the hard parts.
  4. They were supposed to reduce clutch chatter. They end up discentigrating tho.
  5. Um...why are you replacing the whole clutch??? Did you even open her up to see what you needed?
  6. Well ur comparing like 500cc or something on the trex (am i remembering that right?) vs. like a 750 with the triple. So of course there's a difference. IMO if you wanna go that big its cheaper to mod the frame for a streetbike engine. That way u get 4 cylinders!
  7. I have no doubt it'll be awesome 90% of the time. Its just a question of how scary that other 10% is. You don't have to go LT to get a super plush ride. Standard length shocks from TCS, Axis, Pep and a couple others will let you fly over anything.
  8. I hear ya tit...we were at an irish pub last night and kept laughing everytime somebody would order bud light. Shit one girl actually ordered a glass of red wine. What is wrong with people??? Anyway it was sweet. We got connections there so we didn't pay for our drinks. But I tipped the 2 bartenders $20 each for serving us all night. Once we got home the wife ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor. Guess she was able to hold it down tho.
  9. Actually the 795 pistons w/ the wristpin located deeper are to accomodate for longer rods. The cut head handles the added stroke. You could run a shortrod and use normal pistons.
  10. Puhlease dont' try hand sandingit...u'll spend 20 hours doing what would take 15 min. w/ the sandblaster.
  11. Its pretty bad when u got a free bar on paddy s. I just kept yelling out :bombs: at some point i couldn't tell if he was trhowing out car bombs or budapest bombs...wait, what?

    Oh good...that post got deleted.
  13. I'm guessing ur new to strokers. First of all, vitos is far from the best in tbe biz. 2nd, the real cost of the stroker isn't the crank, but all the carp you need along w/ it. Do a serch and u'll see that converting to a stroker ends up being $2000-$2500.
  14. Depends on which machine in ur sig this is for... The dirty digger is only good up to about 60HP. For the stroker ur gonna need osmething heartyier.
  15. By going with longer arms you're changeing thie leverage ratio. Kinda like when you use a combination wrench vs. a breaker bar. Shocks need to be sprong/valved to accomodate the added leverage of the longer arm. Otherwise its gonna rid e like shit.
  16. I shoved mine beiing the front bumper...zip tied it to that little metal thingy with all the holes in it. I dunno...that shit is easier to cheack for coolant than the radiatior.
  17. Mmmm....guionness. Happy st. patteysy day everyone!!
  18. Dealership, ebay, almost anywhere will have a Clymers. Clutch is an easy job. Take ya an hour start to finish.
  19. I dunno man...its gonna be most noticeable when hitting something hard (like those unexepected dropoffs) or when coming down from a jump. I'm thinking that's the worst time for the wheels to be yanked. As of right now the only fix is to fab a new, narrower front end.
  20. Maybe he's missing some fingers so posting is a major PITA?
  21. You sticking around this time cole?
  22. I'll have a better idea after today when I pull out my stock axle. But my guess is you trashed the bearings, then the slop allowed the sprocket hub to rub the swingarm.
  23. FIrst and foremost this will prolly help you out on this board: Clicky That said, the shee tranny is pretty hearty. I'd check out the clutch since that's pretty easy and tends to fail long before the tranny goes.
  24. Advantage is you won't have to worry as much about your crank seperating. Its more common w/ built motors but can happen to stockers too.
  25. Just measure the filter side of the carb. Match the OD there to the ID of the filters listed on K&N's site. You want the 6" long filters. I don't remember the #'s offhand.
