  6. Axle is still for sale. Here are some better pics. The carrier has good seals and bearings. The holes for adjusting are a little reemed out, but not bad.

  14. There is no river crossing right now. Still sucks when the tide is high because everyone seems to like camp in the water. Not sure if I'm going to make it out there that weekend or not. If I do make it you cant miss my truck. Remember the orange chevy from Glamis? It now has a big lift underneath it, and that will be me.
  15. What I dont understand is what are they actually operating? Theres nothing out there to be operated. The BLM doesnt even sell tickets out there. There are vendors that sell tickets, and you know they have to pay for a vendors spot. The only thing out there is some porta potties. I cant believe that one big weekend wouldn't cover the years cost for that. I guess they have to pay for the 235983405 cops they have on the big weekends. Thats the only cost I could see. But I'm almost positive they issue more money worth of tickets then they actually get paid in one day!
  16. Are you talking about the half moon shaped clip? Basically C shaped clip that was holding the big crank bearing in place? Cause if you are, that still needs to be there. It keeps the outer race from moving side to side.
  17. That's odd. Good looking out though. Correction then. My older hot rod crank had little nipples on them! Yours may or may not!
  18. If the seals are tight then they are probably good. The only real way to tell is to do a leak down test once it's back together and see if leaks. The hotrod crank doesn't have the same type of dowels on the bearings. But it does have a little nipple that sticks out. Yamabond works great on all the mating surfaces. The nuts and bolts on the fingers of the lockup are the weights. The faster the motor spins the more pressure it puts on the pressure plate. That pushes the clutch plates tighter together. Its not a gimmick, it actually works. You can play with the amount of weights on the fingers to give you a little slip off the line and then lockup when your fully into the throttle.
