You sure he's straight? Sounds like he has some pent up issues. Its ok silly... I'm sure the girls will like you that much more because they will have a shopping buddy.

Proquad must be hiding his true identity by racing quads.... don't be fooled by his racing career. Ever notice that he never comes in first.... he's too busy checking out the guys butts infront of him. Just messing with you pro...

There is a search button at the top

Thanks Dirtbikez for trying to lighten things up... I kind of wanted to reply back on Shee K's last reply to whom ever deleted it but it's cool because it would have turned into one ugly roost thread. It's nice to know you moderators are out there trying to keep the forum clean (Thanks).

BFS the TORS does not physically control the carb slides. Infact the TORS system is really only active when the thumb throttle is close (idle position). How would we know this? The TORS boxes on top of the carbs are wired in series so if one switch inside either of the boxes doesn't close when the throttle is at idle the TORS kills the ignition.
-
Nice reply Rodney... this pretty much is a simplified answer to how the TORS system works.
-
Shee K the reason I asked this question was to not because I didn't know how this system works. I wanted to get stupid replys such as yours. I'm flaming your lame ass reply because I knew you didn't know shit about how the system works. Do you even own a manual? Posts like BenBB's are well thought out and took time. Your reply was just a quick half a min response if that.
-
Wood did you not notice where I said "ugg it's the tors system"... Shee K this is going to be straight forward and to the point. YOUR AN IDIOT. Did you just read the title of my post and think you had to throw in your two cents? You don't need to answer that...

Anyone else?

Martin is a great guy. He's very knowledgeable in many areas of two stroke motors with a key interest on two stroke street bikes. He can still be found online on some forums like MacDizzy on occasion and another site I will not mention. If I can dig up his info about the proper volume required for a banshee boost bottle I'll repost it here.

Ok guys... just wanted to see what you people think this switch actually does and how it works. No short answers "ugg its the TORS system". I want specifics on what the switch controls and how/when it works. Let the replys rip.

Even better question is why the hell are you running 14cc domes? Your motor probably doesn't like to rev past 7k rpms. Not only are you wasting your money on 115 octane race gas, your wasting performance. Drop your compression down to the 170-180 range and start buying 100 octane gas.

Thanks Rod... I use satellite images all the time for my work. It helps define surrounding features of a site we are working on.

If you didn't get the filters and cable for that price you got ripped off. Check out www.carbparts.com or www.sudco.com

Depends on if you order before the ups guy shows up and if the part is in stock. I say if you order before noon pacific time you should have it by the next day if it's in stock. I would not let the guy/girl get off the phone until they have the thing you want in their hands and will put it in a box before you get off the phone.

Do a search for Motorworld.. there were a couple posts over the last year with nothing but bad news. If you can walk in there in person and get what you want in your hands... I wouldn't give them the money

This page only applies to 4 strokes with a battery operated CDI. On these systems the soul purpose of the stator is to provide power to charge a battery. I'll see if I can find some text on how a banshee or other two stroke CDI works.
-
Actually think of it like this.... each spark plug fires once with a positive spark and once with a negative spark. With the crank being 180* firing one cylinder fires with a positive and one with the negative. There is a guy in India that designed a CDI that saved the wasted spark on each plug firing and it does provide a larger spark but you had to run to pick ups and two coils. The stock system works good enough as it is on a Banshee so it's not really needed.
-
What actually happens is on one of the coil firings the voltage is positive (sparks from the center conductor of the plug to the ground strap) and on the second firing of the rotation a negative spark (from the ground strap to the center conductor). Swapping the plug wires from side to side will reverse which plug gets the negative spark. The same thing happens when you switch the wires going to the coil. As far as a power increase... I'll sell you some bottled air blessed by a budda that is known to add 15 hp to any machine by simply pouring this air into the gas tank. Anyone want to buy some??? $150 per bottle.

Hamuel are you running the stock intake boots or aftermarket types?
-
What kind of gas are you running? Why bother with 1 degree of advance on the timing? Why are you running reed spacers... is the clutch arm hitting the bottom of the left carb if you don't have them spaced farther back?

I have a stock axle... pm me

Everyone should be a member of the ASA even if they don't ride the dunes... your riding area might be next up on the list! You get a discount card with your membership anyway so it will most likely pay the membership costs back and then some.
-
Doesn't mean the closure areas are open yet so keep out until they implament the RAMP and get everything setup.... I dune with Jerry Seaver and from what he says is don't get your hopes just yet. It might be sometime next year before they open up the closure areas to persons with permits.

Trash the paper... the new basket should include new rubber bushings under the baskets cardboard packing. Ditch the rubber o-rings between the plates. The pushrod is heat treated from the factory.
