Matt 80 grit maye be to fine for some on the intakes. I used cutter tip in my die grinder . Start with 80 on the exhaust side and work up to 400 than use a felt pad and mirror the finish exhaust. Knife edge the transfer bridges too. If you follow the port walls and just clean up you will feel a difference. Just be careful if you are new to it. Go slow and ENjoy time with your Shee & it Will hualass.

Muhehehe I need more time. I made one for my Jeep. 2.5 with 4.0L TB It gained about 15 horse with the K&N xstream filter setup. I used Sprinkler line 3 inch Dia. I like the chrome exhaust tip Idea Cheap & shinny can't Beat that. this could help in my low end bog too.

OK i seen very little about Reed thickness. I bought tdrs and I order the cheaper ones I thought they where the fiberglass in .018 but what i got was .020 dark in color and looks like carbon fiber. Teach me I need knowedge Pro's & Con's on material and thickness.

We ride at 4400 to 5000 feet appox.Dunes mostly I run 21x12x8 9 paddle hualers. The problem with me beating him is I'm building his Bike I go with smaller cc domes after i get my stoker crank welded. as far a full race port I'm as high as the engine builder wants me to go. I think my shee was at 60+ hp before i start this tuneup.

Well I have raced a few motocross races and Desert high speed stuff so i am rookie when it comes to Speed. I Think you need a very modifed Banshee to beat a CR500 in a hill shooter style race. Now that is not to say that I smoked my son's friend 2000 cr250 up thunder dune on my shee. But it's really Apples & Oranges..

Son's shee has a ricky stator plate set at 4 degrees. I am running a modifed stock timing plate I am guessing about 3+ degrees. Both are running K&N's Pods 3x5 inch rounds with outwears we both have milled head so I may not gain much with the Noss but i am going with a 19cc to start with Should be better than my old head. It was milled so much I had about a .010 squish band and it been cut though the water jacket and JBwelded. If i can't be him with the round slide 34s I may try differnet carbs. If carbs mods don't help than my plans on a 4mm long rod may come sooner.

Well I did the porting. it was more like good cleanup, Narrowed the intake center bridge, radiused the egdes, Knife edge the tranfer bridges, Polished the exhaust port. But i didn't cut any windows. I still want to beat him Now on my shee I Did some repair on the poor job it had radiused all the striaght cuting the intake had, case match the new base gaskets. alittle port raising and than mirror finshed exhaust. rebuffed the cyclinder for more shine. Noss head soon
