Dude Use your tranny. Don't go to a Stealership. Remeber if you did it once you can do it agian ,If need be. ( teardown & rebiuld ) But i betting you will be ok, My banshee was a old worn Dune machine when i bought it, That is why i think it trashed 2 gear. I paid 2800 and then i added about 3200 to it. It's Solid Dune machine now. It runs great but I am still tunning the 34 RS mikunis for full power. I won't push the jetting very fast so i ride and check plug and drop it every ride, I am at 290 main and looking like 270 to 280 it where it will end up. Not sure about the washer rubber thing ? tell me more. I ride at Siant Anthony Id. I need to get some pics up .

I know what you are going through. I just build my 12 port Stroker and than I blow 2nd gear. So i hade to rebiuld the engine 2 times. I was told that the Banshee Tranny is Just a simple, rough tough design. The lack of oil and Vibration will not help it shift any smother. It's hard for the shift forks to move on the shift drum without them. So don't sweet it bro Just center the spring on the pins put it back together.

Well All you can do is center it best you can; there is no other choice. As far a bonding the case halves that is not a problem because you don't need to split the cases to work on the shifter mech. I also don't bond the clutch cover, so I may be able to remove it easier to do clutch adjustments down the road. Because of the vibration of the motor when running it should shift fine, Unlike setting on a workbench.

AS anybody seen or heard anything about a Power jet? is that the name of them or do they go buy a another name. It was a brass valve set up looks like it works like a dial a jet but it set up a little differnet then they are. I am looking for info on them so urls would be helpful.

A lighter Mass flywheel will rev'up quicker, thats the Gian. So you do feel it. Think like a horny rabbit, He can get the job done faster.

The adjustment screw is a cam. turn a lobe with a flat head screw driver and it moves the center on the springs around. But if the lobe is worn it won't move as much. Hope this helps.

A good place to start is milling your head. you can sell it later if you would want better cooling. there are a few Memebers at the Hq that can mill it for you for a fair price.

I am in the process of getting mine dialed in. I changed pipes too. I went up 7 mains from my old setup and it wasn't enough so i went up 3 more too 400's on my Mikuni 34 mm round slides it's little fat on top but good for break in. i try a 390 next. But it was flat on the 3rd clip so i moved it to 5th clip postion ( richer) and it got worse so i move it to 1st clip and it running pretty good but still a little rich But so are my mains. SO i am thinking the 390's will bring it all together. Oh even though i am little fat on jetting i can cruise in 6th gear and roll on the gas a scare the shit out of my self with This Passion 12 port Long rod engine. I am 45 year old man I been on fast bikes before and This is One Fast F*cker of a Engine. Those who think there Passion Engine Won't pull or Not run hard Better Learn to jet a bike. Spend the time and Learn beacuse there is a lot of power in any 2 cycle engine with spot on jetting. Ps 26mm mikuni's on a Passion 12port is a Total Waste of Money. GET Bigger carbs, Plan and simple.
