I had Passion do Mine and I tell you what. Lowend Is friggen great and With shearer inframe The Top end is INSANE. A banshee with Both, I am very glad i did.
There is also a weight savings with this setup too. My shee is strip down about 300 pounds. Horsepower to wieght ratio another part to consider.
All that you can saves will add up. Air box, intake boots, metal brackets, Lid
K&N pods and outwears are great setup for sand.

if you port it more and riase the exhaust timming, Like Cotton Eyed Joe said, you can get 20 cc domes to off set the lost compression.

Choke cherry is my goal and Power is a must . That is why I got a Passion 12 port stroker.
I only ran about a gallon though it, So i only farted around with it and It's little lean I went up 7 mains sizes and It still wants more fuel .
I plan on going to 400 from 370 mains and see next time out. But i am blown away by the lowend It;s going to be a mean Machine I feel the shearer in the bottom end and that is good for a Topend pipe. I may need a DIAPER at 8000 to 10000 rpm ,
I removed all the tape. My tors have been removed but there where peices of wire in the harness still.
I move my CDI box upfront behind the Radiator .
The stator plug and 12 volt wires is where i started I left the stator plug to cdi box section alone it's pretty short so i didn't mess with it.
I unpluged the volt wires becuase i have no lights or need for it at this time I taped them up with the stator to cdi section. it's about foot long.
Then the cdi to light switch section it where the work is but it's easy. I remove the light switch and installed a honda kill switch by Tusk.
Orange wire from the cdi goes to the Coil and black one return to black wire.
Igntion system section is done.
Now there is only Kill switch and Key left to deal with.
Key, Take the Black/red wire and tie it into the black one and Key is done.
Killswitch Take the black/white wire and tie it into the black wire. This is all there is to it
SO the output on the cdi box it short & sweet without any other BS wire Just like a Good drag daytime dune machine needs.

Oh One more question. Do you have any primary drive gear? The crank one . I am looking for a 93 Lash index. I read on page 3/21 of the yamaha service manual that it's important to match the numbers to a yamaha spec value? a 93 would put it at 155 right in the middle. I just confussed about this. I quess it's like setting up a ring & pionion but you match the number on the driven gear & the drive gear instead. The number on the driven gear is 62 so i need a 93 to make it to 155 I quess this set the lash. Any ideas on this stuff?
I just trimmed my wire harness down , Smiple short & to the point, Looks very trim up on the bars. I bet I saved 2 pounds and thats with out the lights.
Kill Switch, cdi box, coil , stator Not hard at all.
Works great and only took about 1 hour.
The upper mount is cracked, What can be done to fix it? All ideas that work please post them.
Oh So far the Passion !2 port seams very strong off the bottom. When i get the
radiator fixed i will finish with the break in.

I agree with faded dreams even tho I have Shearer waiting to get put on, Test out the rockects And try them T5 out. Minkia offer sound great.

17/40 2:35 to 1 Hehehe I would never shift out of second gear. It would never Pull 3rd up Choke cherry Blue. You would need 150 horsepower for that gear and that hill.

So With my New passion 12 port stroker Ex, is apox 197 degree and Shearer with 13/41 Planned gearing 21x12x8 P paddle This should spin easy with alot of rpm & power. I am looking to have great Hill pulling machine. At lease a good place to start you think?
The range of the index was 154 to 156 mine was 157 but the one gear has wear so i figure it's Close. I am to run it and watch it close If it makes noise i replace it with a 93 index drive gear. it was a 95. I learn something every day on the Banshee. Lets Hope I am Right
