  1. If it's still on I probably wont make it . Our boxer tore her knee up . Intial vet bill 160$ surgery to repair the knee 800$. But she is priceless.
  2. Should be numbers on the top of the pistons that tell what size they are. You may have to clean them if they have carbon on top.
  3. I put up a post asking the site sponsors to respond about trueing and welding my crank. No response and I understand they are very busy. Rockenrail responed and his price and turn around time was good. Some times you have to give some one a chance. If it works out I will let people know if not i will also let you know. Thanks for the input
  4. Spark plugs, plug wires and caps ? have you checked the compression with a guage?
  5. I'm going to send him a crank for trueing and welding. Just thought I would ask before I sent it out. Thanks Tim
  6. I'm 47 and still ride my banshee's and CR500 with mostly the twenty something crowd. I'm a little more consevitive than I used to be I just can't afford to get hurt. But always have a lot of fun. Lifes not about arriving at deaths door in a well perserved body. But sliding sideways used up burnt out and saying wow what a ride.
  7. Buy a bearing separator at an auto parts store or Harbour freight has them for 20.00$. Makes it real easy. Use the method mentioned above and it go's back togather easier than it comes apart.
  8. Yes if it needs a rod or bearings I would buy a new one. This one was running and the bike has 170psi compression. I caught it becuase of the trans problem. you can see it with your eye and the measurements tell the story. If it can be put back togather at a resonable price i will send it out if not I will buy a good used one or a new one and have it welded. Tim
  9. I'm a welder but work in a machine shop with some great machinist. What kind of stand do you use. I have access to dial indicators and mag bases and a hydraulic press. T.I.R. I would guess is total indicated run out. Do you remove the outer bearings before doing any work if so I guess you would need a bearing seperator to do that. I would like to just send it out if possibly and the cost are reasonable. Thanks Tim
  10. Thanks I was hoping some of the builders / site sponsors would chime in.
  11. I pulled a bike apart becuase of trans problems and found a crank problem. The crank has good bearings and the rods appear good. It is starting to come a part. it measures 6.186 with a caliper over all. The web measures 2.102" clutch side and 2.136" fly wheel side the rod clerance is .020" clutch side and .051" fly wheel side. So it appears the fly wheel side is coming apart. Can it be pressed back togather and trued and welded or is it junk?????? pm me a ball park price. Thanks Tim
  12. Shit I'm not going now the cook out canceled!!!!!!!!! LOL
  13. Not that it matters what compression did this motor have.
  14. Can't sell anything if you do not return email's or pm's. If you sold it put up a post Sold!!!!!!!
  15. Man I would but we go to a big party on the 3rd. I know My head will not function Saturday morning. Maybe another time .
  16. Really looks worse than it was. Most of that is just muddy water splashed on them. The one area by the widow maker was the worse and only the two of us had problems down there. I had a great time if anyone did not speak up maybe we can do some thing different next time and not knowing the trails all that well caused some confusion. But over all great people and a great time. It only took about 30 minutes with the garden hose and sponge to clean mine and my truck only had dust on it from the exit trial to the parking lot (parked right next to it.)
  17. I plan on coming but do to my work it is tough to call right now. I may not have job by then. Put me down for condiments ( Ketchup , Mustard , Mayo, Pickles and chips) Most likely only Saturday and I will post something for sure at least a week in advance if I can't make it.
  18. Great people Great time those that chose not to come missed out!!!!!! MikeNick sore your just a pup this old man is just fine today. See ya at Badlands
  19. It will not be that bad. Haspin can be muddy on a dry day. We can ride the top and pipe line in the morning and check other area's out after lunch.
  20. I was running 170psi on pump gas with a shaved head no problems. Pulled it apart for trans work and found the stock crank was coming apart. I just built one with a cool head and 19cc dome 180psi i will let you know tomorrow if it stays togather it has a welded crank. about 500 feet above sea level.
  21. I checked the national weather service for maysville it shows less than inch over the last three days including today. If you go to there web site from wilmington ohio and click on maysville on the map and scroll down you will find a three day history it is a chart with time of day and other info such as rain fall.
  22. Shit we have been without power since 3am. I do not have any thing ready been doing bullshit work all day for other people I'm tired. But I will be there just have to get motivated
  23. Come on out, there is plenty of different places to ride big open fields, creeks ROCKS and it may dry out by Saturday. I have been there when it was dry eating dust and get down in the woods and it was so slick you could not stand up. As mike said it is not like Haspin at all.
  24. Can you say mud we just had 2.5 inches of rain in about an hour. Looked like the area around Big Rock was getting the same storm. But you can always find some where to ride there. That's why it's a great place to ride and it is going to be hot as mention above.
