  1. I would like to get a ride togather at Haspin some time.
  2. Gas prices suck!!!!!!!!!!! Cost me 100$ last year just fuel for the truck. Probably more this year. A good day riding priceless!!!!!!!!!
  3. Still have the Lectron? Whats the best price on the carb?
  4. Good day. No mud very little dust only lost one tire ripped the side wall on something. The morning was cold but ok. I have to agree with ZillaFreak the place is rough, rocks and more rocks. One of the guys had a Polaris with an odometer we rode 47 miles.
  5. Date is wrong Should be Saturday Nov. 6Th
  6. I'll be going with a few friends. They mostly ride 4 pokes would be great to have a few more Banshee's. Mikenick would even be welcome.
  7. Pulled it apart. Put the crank in a lathe between centers and checked with a dial indacator it is way out of spec for run out as much as .010 the most it can be is .002. Everthing else checks good over all and the width of the webs and rod side play. So could I have done it pressing new bearings on or maybe it got dropped at the shop. It is welded do you have to remove the weld to true it again or is it junk. I had another crank that was not welded put it in and torqued every thing it spins free. I need to put new bearings on it I guess Ill freeze it and heat the bearings instead of the press?
  8. Took it apart cleaned everthing up again (I hate yamabond) put it back togather it is harder to turn now than it was. I had the crank trued and welded. But i put the new bearings on myself with a press so I'm thinking the crank may not be true. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow and check the crank run out. That's the only thing that makes any since to me it move but gets tighter.
  9. Yes i have the circle clip on the bearing. It's a stock bearing so it is only a half of a clip. I think this is to control side load. It go's on the clutch side the fly wheel side does not have the groove for the clip.
  10. Yea all of the pin wre pointing forward in the slots. Thats the last thing i check before pushing the cases togather.
  11. Rebuilding a stock motor. Cranks checked out ok per the manual. Put new bearings and seals on the crank, it turned easy sitting in the case half. Put the sealer on the cases put the other half on and torqued the bolt per the manual. The crank seems to turn hard. I have not put the fly wheel on, if I grab the end of the crank I can not turn it. On the other side with the gears I put a socket on the nut I can turn it by hand( without a ratchet) it just seems real tight. I lubed the seals and the bearing. This not my first motor but seems to turn harder than the others.
  12. I just trail ride no racing and have shee's set up both ways (coolhead and shaved). Really no difference except being able to pull the head with out having new gaskets on hand and if you did gerande one you could just change the domes instead of the head. If i had an all out race machine it would have a coolhead. Just my 2 cents
  13. Well where's the pic's To dam hot to ride the banshee. I have been out on the river jet skiing boating and may have even drank a beer or 2 or was that 2 many. See ya when it cools off.
  14. I have to work. No riding this weekend
  15. Who's going and what day. I may be out because of work.
  16. Fast By Gast 1-800-866-3880 Call they have been great to me for parts or information. They have almost always been able to ship the same day. I have tryed Packard and another out of Texas they have not given me the same customer service that Gast has. Just my 2 cents

I sold my 500. I could not refuse the offer a the kid had to have it. Now I'm going to build a AF500. Going to pickup the frame tomorrow. I need an engine would like to have 90 or newer but will not be picky. May even just buy parts and put one togather let me know what you have or if you know someone that has one. Thanks Tim
  23. Try loosing all of the engine mounting bolts. Start the engine for a few seconds then retighten all of the bolts. You might have something in a bind. I have done this and it makes a big difference.
