  1. I bought a pair of YFZ450 shocks and i've gotten all the grinding done on the mounts but I can't seem to get them into the bottom mounts. I can slide them up under the a-arms and into the top mount but I can't get the bottom of the shocks to clear the bottom a-arm. I don't want to have to unbolt my bottom a-arm but that looks like my only choice. Anyone have any suggestions? Any would be great. Thanks
  2. They aren't comparing if one can beat the other in a drag they are just comparing which is better in the sand, and of coarse the Banshee is a sand machine where the 450 is more at home on a MX track. Everyone knows the Banshee is king when it comes to sand.
  3. The only thing I can think of would be a wet stator. Mines used to do that all the time after I would go through water or after I got done washing it.
  4. I have a +4mm stroker and i'm using the stock studs also. I even have washers between the head and head bolts and they still fit fine.
  5. If you ever do get the problem fixed it's always a good idea to create a restore point on your computer from time to time just in case stuff like that happens so you can restore it back to when everything was working properly.
  6. Well I was reading on their website and reading the features that it has and a tach output was one of them.
  7. Thanks for the info guys!
  8. Can I use a dial type tach?
  9. I'm getting a Dyna ignition and it says that it has a tach output. My question is how would you hook a tach up on a shee with a Dyna ignition? I read a post about putting a tach on a shee and they said it won't work. Since the Dyna ignition has a tach ouput shouldn't it work?
  10. www.gopartsdirect.com
  11. You can't buy a supercharger for a Banshee on account of there is not belt drive system to drive the supercharger. You can buy turbos for them but they are really hard to tune in and get perfect. I would recommend spending the money on a stroker or cheetah cylinders or something along that line to make the power.
  12. I bought it from www.rickystator.com. He didn't say anything about needing a voltage regulator. If it blew out the FMF box why didn't it blow out the stock one too?
  13. The stroker crank is definatly worth it. But you do have to get it ported for it to work properly. I would recommend using the 795 series pistons and a spacer gasket. When it's all done it has tons of power and really fast, even though I only got to ride on my new stroker motor for like 10 minutes before the CDI blew (talk about that in another post).
  14. I bought a new 200 watt stator and installed it and after riding it for a few short moments it just quit. I had an idea of what it was so I changed my FMF CDI with a stock one and it fired right back up. Then I put the FMF one back on and nothing. I was just wondering why this happened? Could it of just been cause of the extra wattage or something? Well on the brighter side of things I ordered a Dyna Ignition CDI and should be here shortly .
  15. Did it work?
  16. I know YFZ450 front shocks work on a banshee but will their rear shock work?
  17. Aight...thanks man.
  18. I'm looking for a new or slightly used pair of YFZ450 front shocks. If you have some I am willing to pay up to $200 for them. PM and let me know or email me some pics if you have some.
  19. Has anyone tried this stuff? Looks like it would work great but i'm sceptical. NeoSeal Permanent Lubricant
  20. Carbon Fiber isn't brittle at all, in fact if you get real carbon fiber it's as strong if not stronger than steel. Don't you know that's what Ferrari's chassis are made of? The cheap carbon fiber is probably brittle but if you get the real stuff it's really strong.
  21. I got my motor ported and stroked and i'm currently running T-5s but I feel like they might be holding my engine back. I know that CPIs give like 1,000 RPMs more than T-5s but i've also read on here that Rockets are just as good if not better than CPIs. I'm looking to upgraded my exhaust soon and I was just wondering which set of pipes are the best for my mods. Any feedback would be great, Thanks.
  22. If you want good low-end but still have good top end then get a 2 into 1 carb setup. They are really easy to install and really easy to jet. If you look on ebay they have them for cheap. Well first thing you want to get is exhuast of coarse that makes any banshee come alive. A cool head will give you more low-end and better cooling. Then you have all the other good stuff like big bore kits and strokers, cheetah cylinders, nitrous, turbos...... but that's if you are not affraid to put money into it like you said. If money isn't an option than neither is how much power you can have.
  23. I'm doing the exact same thing and they sent me the spacer head gasket kit like you have so I just took the gasket material off the top of the spacer so the head has a nice sealing serface and left the gasket on the bottom to mount on the cylinders.
  24. I have the 35mm setup on my shee and I love it. Jetting is sooooo easy. If you were going to get one I would go with the 35mm carb instead of the 33mm. You can get the 35mm setup for the price of the 33mm off eBay.
  25. Crank for sale out of a 1998 Banshee. It is in great shape other than that the bearings need replaced. Good crank if you are looking for one to rebuild. Asking $70 for it.
