  1. Snop, no I have the special cut domes for the 4mil..No spacer plate crap...
  2. Hey Daj, yea i did use 2 different testers a Craftsman, and some other brand and now they are both within 2-3 lbs of each other. The 200 lbs was right after I rebuilt it 6 months or so ago, so I guess its broken in a little? Its also a 4mil. I might try 21cc domes, but still deciding...Gas prices are friggin crazy
  3. Right now its +4. I hear what you are saying about the compression with the 4mil...However with the special cut "+2" domes doesn't this take that into account, or is it different? Either way I agree, I think I need to get some 21 or 22cc domes ....
  4. When I put it together I think it was around .45-.48 How does that affect performance? Would it be better to have that raised to lower the compression, or is that something that I cant change since its already ported?
  5. Recently did a rebuild with a 4mil, woods port, 20cc custom domes, single carb, etc....I ran 100\110 oct gas since the rebuild since when I first tested it the comp tester showed 200+ psi! Now its about 180 in each cyl, however I want to run 93 octane not race gas! Should I go up to 21cc domes to lower the compression closer to 160 or 150 (jetting is close to prefect maybe a little rich). I dont want to go higher to 22cc as thats pretty much stock. Not sure how at sea level these 20cc domes have so much compression. I know it also has to do with the porting, but its a fast woods ported 4mil. I tested it with 2 different testers and they are both within 3-4 lbs of each other! Could it be a problem with the special cut domes for the 4mil and coolhead? It runs great!!
  6. Wow, I have Quicksand a-arms and have the bend in the front...I've had it setup like this for years...LOL I was told somewhere that this was right...Maybe they are wrong, but they are working fine. Maybe I should change them ?
  7. csrmel, what port work did you get from Trinity? Answer your damn PM I sent you a while back...LOL Back to the OP: I have some FAST port work also and the quality is Great! Jeff is a great guy, but yea it did take a while. I would say if you cant wait, go with someone who can help you over the phone and provide a decent turn around time.
  8. Depending on your mods, you can go 33, 35 or 38. I just sold a 38mm. Look around in the FS section and see what you can find. 35 might be best if you dont have alot of mods.
  9. I would say start at a 200 main and work down from there. I run a 52 pilot and a EEK needle which seemed better than the DEK I had before.
  10. $3.69 for regular here. $5.99 for 100 unleaded at Sunoco pump, and $50+ for Sunoco 110 in the 5gal drum!! ::
  11. 2-1 carb...thats what I run on my trail banshee and it works great! Very easy jetting and more all around power vs stock's!!
  12. Quick and dirty: low/mid/high!! What kind of riding do you do??
  13. Yep, this is the best and only Banshee site I visit. Thanks LEE for all your dedication
  14. 1)You really need to get some new plugs and do a correct plug chop to find out for sure. Search for the link. 2)If this was when it was cold it does happen.
  15. Still for sale ......Best offer ^^^^^
  16. I think it has a 195 main, DEK needle, and a 50-52 pilot. I have a few extra jets I may be able to include with it!
  17. Here is everything complete...
  18. You need to put some stress on the motor. If you can ride 5th for a little WOT that should work too!
  19. The 4mill should give you more bottom end torque and top end also. If you are mainly looking for bottom to midrange power esp since you are not hitting 5th or 6th gear much, I would say a single carb would get you that extra power for that range. As its been discussed 1000 times, with a single carb you may loose a few ponies on the top-end, but you will have them instead on the bottom and mid, esp with the 4mill.
  20. $300 shipped for the complete setup!!
  21. Yep, porting is prolly your best bet. Dont bore it unless you have to!
  22. Yep, I really think you need to either change to 20" tires, or up the gearing to at least a 14 or 15 up front with the 18's!
  23. I thought you would reply eventually
