Not to be rude or anything but are you somewhat new to riding Banshees? A boost bottle won't have any effect on jetting, so it should be running the same before you put it on, unless the temperature changed. It could very well be jetting, but if you weren't used to the kick-in-the-pants powerband of a Banshee it'll feel a little odd at first.

LMAO, I hope he was running silencers. I believe he's talking about the hush-kit. If you are...I personally have never seen or heard them in person. I don't think you lose much power, if any. I've heard a lot of good comments from people that are really concerned about noise. Man, I miss the sound of my t-5's.

I really wouldn't try the PC on stock arms. I've heard way too many people say they're useless after trying. I have seen people "powdercoat" their stock arms, but I have no idea how they did it without their balljoints coming loose. I just couldn't ride with PC'ed stock arms without constently thinking about what would happen if they came apart. I've seen some chrome arms that looks damn good, too. I'm not sure how they keep from fucking up the balljoint, but they can somehow. I would look into chroming your a-arms before trying PC.

When I bought my 'shee used, it had 22" Spider Tracs on it with stock gearing. It was completely stock otherwise. It would have a little hesitation, but not too much. 22's were too big for what I was riding so I switched to 20's. If you're really concerned about ground clearance, I'd easily go with the 22s. But like BigBoyBanshee said, I would drop down a gear for the tire change. By the way, I HIGHLY recommend the Gorr woods port for trails!

I also run Primary Drive sprockets, and haven't had a single problem

whats the best renthal handle bars for Shees
Banshee17Racing replied to redcell43's topic in Product Reviews
Renthal Fatbars , that's if you want 1 1/8th" bars. I had the regular ATV bend renthals for about 4 years without any problems, I actually seemed to bend my stem before the bars. -
HAHAHAHA

What do you think of my combo idea?

Sounds like a pretty good list to start with. You should like the T-5's...I've ran those for two years. I would look into a Noss Machine Performance Head, they look great, perform even better, and very easy to install, plus the owner, Dave is a memeber here (dlnoss). It depends on what your elevation is to decide what domes you want to run. I personally run 21cc domes w/150psi @ 750 ft above sea level and 93 octane. I've heard you can run up to 160 psi without needing any high octane fuel, but for me..that's too close for comfort. I'm not too sure on the V-force 3 reeds. I haven't heard much about them yet. I run V-force 2's and love 'em....theres plenty mroe guys here that swear by the 2's, too. I would only run an open filter if you plan on staying out of the wet stuff. I'd also get the Timing Plate...which I also have. I really don't think it matters which brand you get, but I've got a Pro Design at +4 degrees. Hope this helps -
I wondered where you went. That's a lotta news in a couple paragraphs. Congrats on the kid! And good luck on finding a job and your future.

I've got one....a buddy of mine is in a sno-mobile club called Sno-Seekers. His dads pretty much runs everything and I usually get to hear some cool stories about the trips they take up north. But this story happened here to my buddy a couple years ago, when we were still in highschool. This isn't a nice story, but its reality. Anyway...this friend(Clint) is on his MXZ600 and another friend of mine(Mike) is riding with him on the 440 'cat Clint sold him. They both have a chick on the back on the sleds. It was pretty late at night...11:30 or so on a Friday or Saturday, still snowing a little. They ride all the way out to Durant, IA (about 30 minutes drive) riding ditches and fields. Clint has almost all the ditches memorized from riding them every winter. They're both flying through this long corn field, Clints in the lead...obviously, and they come up on a ditch. They both start braking...but not fast enough. Before the ditch was a knocked down barbed wire fence that should have been taken out of the ground with the rest of the fence about 20 years ago. Clint doesn't see the fence until its too late. The nose of the sled slides the top barbed wire of the fence up past the windshield....It just so happened Clints neck was right about the windshield. It slices his throat about 12 inches left to right, cutting his skin, neck muscle, ligaments, and part of his trachea. LUCKILY his girl on the back was knocked off the back when Clint leaned back right before he hit the fence. Clint, in shock, gets off.. stops Mike, whos about 40 feet behind him, and tries telling him what happened. Not hearing a word..Mike doesn't think anything happened. Clint takes his helmet off and Mike then realizes whats happened. Fortunately, Mike was planning on being a Davenport Medic...so he knew his stuff. They stop somebody on the road and have them call 911. Clint soon realizes he starting to get really cold...escpecially without the blood needed to keep you warm. So the man they stopped tells them to get in the truck until the ambulance comes. Keeping the heater on full blast, Mike is taking his clothes off while Clint is putting more on. Now Mike has told me that he thought that was the last time he was going to see Clint alive. I didn't ask what was said between them, but they both said that was the scariest thing they have ever had happened. Clint ended up with 40-50 stitches in his neck, and was back to school the following week. The doctor said if the fence had hit him and inch lower, he wouldn't have a head. Sorry about the long story, but just want to give the "heads up" one ditch riding...hell any riding.

I've got 20x6x10 Razr MX fronts and love 'em. I also ride quite a bit of trails along w/MX.

When picking a pipe, DO NOT base your decision on someone else's opinon. On the other hand, it's not a bad idea to listen to what people say about different kinds of pipes, because most peeps here say close to the same things about the same pipes. You need to ask yourself what type of conditions you mostly ride in. I have heard quite a few people talk about 2 into 1 pipes having shitty top ends...which I personally think a Banshee should always have some type of top end. I ran t-5's for over 2 years and absolutely loved them. I started racing MX and realized they're no longer the pipe for me. I'm not a hardcore MX'er, i still love flying through fields, and tight woods. So I did some research and decided on the Pro Circuits. Now I loved my T-5's, looked amazing, sounded great, and plenty of power(just not where I wanted it). I put the PC's on and took a little test run down the street, and I couldn't keep the front end on the ground. So you need to base your decision on what pipe to get on what you'll be riding.

I know locally, the hondas always seem to be finishing in front of most of the yamahas. But I don't know a whole lot about bikes.

My Banshee is forsale!
Banshee17Racing replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I'm also interested in the headlights. As well as the swingarm w/bearing carrier and possibly the seat cover. -
I did the same thing with mine. I built it from scratch and put the axle 6 inches from center towards the rear, w/out the tongue attached to the frame.
-
Use to use ChainGuard....moved up to PJ1 Chain Lube
-
My T-5's blued to about 4 inches from the motor. And I never had any symptoms of being lean.
-
I wouldn't mess w/it. I didn't touch my jetting when I bought a Noss head. ...especially if it runs great..
-
I wouldn't necessarily say you made a mistake. It all depends on what you wanted the Razr 2's for. I've heard plenty of good things about holeshots. I am kind of a "razr" fan. I'm sure those Holeshots were a little cheaper than Razr 2's. By the way....those aren't really steel rims, are they?
-
well, it looks like you've already got some type of Toomey's, flanders list sounds pretty good, i'd really look into welding your cranks with 19cc. By the way, you should be over 150 psi w/19's, i've got 21's and i'm at 155 psi.(700 ft. elevation)
