LOL Exactly. I noticed the same thing "dont buy a banshee they are unreliable,hard to work on,its a pain mixing oil, 2 strokes suck.ect. ect.. " I think what they really mean is "dont buy a banshee because I dont want you smoking me on a 17 year old quad".. Can I get an amen?? In a nutshell the banshee bashers are ones who have either owned one and knew nothing about it or a friend of a friend of my cousins had one that blew up. I get so frustrated when people say banshees dont hold up. Mine is a 2000 and has had absolutely zero problems AND the poor thing had 10w30 used for the premix for about 6 months (my 12 year old nephew need I say more...)

Alot of good advice going on in here. About reliability (I know I am a little late) As long as you keep them jetted right and take some initiative to keep the maintenance up on them (oil changes,good clean air filter good gasgood 2 stroke oilect)you should have no problems. $4,000 for what you are talking about is a hell of a deal. I agree with everybody on here. Make sure they are legit. If it seems too good to be true then...you have heard the rest...Be careful.

Imagine how I feel, I am going friday to pay my banshee off. I still owe $4,000... I know I paid wayyyyy to much for my shee but thats how it goes. I probably couldnt get $2,500 for her. Oh well shee isnt for sale so I just have to grin and bare it. I have too much into her now to not pay her off($200 a month for about a year).Sure hope my sister in law appreciates me taking the shee over and saving her credit... Shit,thats what familys are for,To look out for each other..

I was paying $200 a month on the shee (crazy.. I know...) so I can have alot of mods if I put 2 bills a month into her huh?

Well I got my taxes back this week and I am going friday to pay the shee off in full. Come friday the shee will be ALL MINE!!! Just wanted to share my happiness.

This raises a question for me... I used to have a 1973-4 Yamaha 350 air cooled 2 stroke street bike. I know this isnt the same bike in question here but did I FU(K up by giving it away? I had a nasty wreck on it and just gave it away..This was about 10-12 years ago. I have always wondered what relation that engine was to the shees...
