I play with the 2 stroke scream... Ever heard of them? Sorry I couldnt resist...

I have to jump in on this one... I would love to have a 450 myself but I would never sell my shee to get one. I know the 450 is probably a better bike all around but it wont have the character of a shee nor (as with any 4 chokes) the bond that you will have with a good old 2 stroke. Just remember that the latest and greatest isnt always the best. I like the fact that not many people can hop a quad and feel as connected as I do with my shee. 4 strokes are boring... I know the 450 is an awesome bike but there is no way you will feel like you do on a shee.... I could be wrong... I know this is a biased opinion but after all this is a banshee site. I love shees so I will stand with them until I die. LOL Speaking of beer... I need another.. Personally dude I would wait until the tax return. Remember they are making them everyday and the longer you wait the more they are out there= lower price. Have some patience and keep your shee. You will regret it if you dont. Whatever your decision I wish you well.....

I was on vacation last week and went to Pensacola Fl. Had to go to the famous Florabama to throw down a few suds. Anybody else been to that very unique place?

Thanks for the replys. I am running stock rubber up front and Kenda Rampages out back.(very similar to black waters) As much as I want to go I dont think I will be able to make this trip( 4 kids,time off from work,money) .I used up all my time from work when I had my knee surgery in the spring. Maybe next year. Sounds like a great place to ride.

My buddy is trying to get me to go to the Hatfield Mc Coy trails in Oct. with him. 5 trails 100 miles each (so he says). I was just wondering if I should trust my shee going that much distance. What I mean is shee is a 2000 and never had a top end done. Knowing my luck I will blow a top end on the first trail and be miserable the rest of the trip. I still have 120 lbs in each jug.I know this is a stupid question but what are your thoughts? Should I trust the shee? I doubt I could come up with the cash to do a top end before I leave. I am not even sure I am going yet or not. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

I have a mac tester and I love it. May not be as expensive as snap-on but it is just as good.

I'm not one to encourage bad behavior, but that kicks ass!!! And yeah, I'm thinking if you are (ever lol) caught with it you could be charged with theft, even though its a $2.00 sticker. You can get them on ebay all day long. I bought one on there for my old 87 gran fury x-police car.

Yeah its a 4.3 TBI (92 4 door Blazer). The 4.3s are worlds apart from those bearing spinner 2.8s. The only good thing about a 2.8 is that a 3.1-3.4 from a camaro or firebird will bolt in its place.

WHEEEEEWW I found the problem. THANK GOD it was only a bad plug wire. Man I was all worked up last night......LOL. I still might replace the t-stat again just to make sure. I dont need that thing sticking again on the way to Fla.... Thanks for the replys!!

Man I hope not. I am all worked up now and was planning on doing a compression check tom. I wish that I could do one now.... The engine is too hot,it is too hot outside,too dark, I am too FOOOked up now to mess with it... Nothing like knowing that meesed up engine will be there for me in the am...

Man I tell you all what... Bad luck? Nah that would be too good for me... To make a long story short. I am going to Fla. On Tues on my vacation. Was... That is... Anyway I figured beings that I am going to Fla. (I am in Md) I would take the family out and have some fun tonight... We decided to ride on the beach in my s-10 blazer. We have 15 miles of open beach to ride on and all was well until a minor thing happened (so I thought.) I had problems with my blazer running hot under load aka beach riding. I installed a brand new clutch for my fan because it wasnt working as it should... New t-stat,flushed the whole coolong system,pulled the radiator and completely cleaned the fins to make sure there was plenty of airflow to cool it (ya know).I went through every fu(king thing ok? Anyway when we were ripping through some water and mud on one of the trails the temp guage went crazy... went to 260 and back down to 140 probably 3 or 4 times. I figured the sensor got wet...Everything seemed fine for the next 5-10 mins. Then the temp guage shot up to 260 (pinned) then back to 200 within 2 or 3 seconds. Another 5 mins later it shot back up to 260 (pinned) and stayed there... I instantly turned the heater on full blast threw her in neutral and checked under the hood. Everything seemed good. I figured ti was just the switch wet againacting crazy. HELL NO... After checking many times and pissing the family and myself off for being over cautious I said fu(kit.. No need to check anymore... The temp sensor is still wet and giving me a false reading. I had stopped and let her cool 2 times after the guage started messing up... About 5 miles later I had to piss so I stopped. I noticed a smell of burnt dexron... BAD NEWS right? I went back to cut the engine off and I saw the temp guage shoot back to 100 then back to 200. I shut the engine off for a few mins then started her up again. I then noticed a dead miss... I messed around with that thing for 45 mmins looking for plug wires off and the obvious.. The only thing I can figure is that I have a burnt valve.. Any help here? There is no smoke out of the exhaust or antifreeze in the oil or oil or slime in the radiator... I will let you all know what happenes tom... So you all see what I am going through. I try to have fun with the family and everything turns out to be a big deal... I need another beer to cry in...

Does it have to be a quad? My first atv was a 1983 Suzuki ALT 125 3 wheeler. Bought it brand new.

I had completely forgot about the cammer. Talk about open mouth insert foot...LOL You do raise some good points though.Just think how much farther along we would be with OHC engines if Ford continued the charge forward. Everybody else would have had to follow in order to compete. We could very well have had an OHC Mach 1! Many apologies for being so brutal... I can admit when I am wrong.

If you remember correctly back in 1970 or 71 NASCAR made the winged cars illegal because they were stomping the shit out of everybody else. I love my muscle cars as much as the next guy. I have owned several ( 69 mach 1 4 speed,73 road runner,88 iroc 5.7). I have owned a few imports as well ( 79 supra,82 supra)I do however love the mitsubishi evo and the subaru wrx. They both are awesome cars that are not only quick but also handle. I like some imports and all muscle cars. I hate just what NYUCK said. Those base civics with a coffee can exhaust whos owners are starving for attention.

antwa, Glad you werent hurt any worse than what you were. Dont feel bad. Wrecks happen to the best of us. Just take it in stride and dont be afraid to hop back on her and go again. Thank GOD I havent had a serious wreck YET (knock on wood) I have had some serious close calls but somehow managed to stay on her and keep her in the upright position. You will be screaming on her again in no time (I know easy for me to say).
