  1. I heard a parrots feather is the best for that. All depends on how much you want to feather the clutch. On my street bike I just use a standard Blue Jay feather though.
  2. I run the mobil 1 as well. I run mobil 1 in every vehicle I own so the shee shouldnt be any different. I have been using it since day one with my shee. Synthetic all the way. I never used anything else so I cant really compare .
  3. I agree. Banshees are great reliable machines if you properly maintain them. One of the biggest things with a banshee is to give them a proper warm up and pick a 2 stroke oil and stick with it. Changing up on the oil will eventually give you problems although I might hear some slack on that one. The most critical aspect is jetting. You can toast a top end in no time if you run her lean. Personally I think thats where all the horror stories about how unreliable banshees are comes from. People who have no idea about that they are doing throw a set of pipes on and do this and do that and never rejet tjeir carbs and trash a topend. They sell the bike and talk shit about how unreliable they are. Dont believe everything you hear. Banshees are awesome and just like any machine... If you take care of it -it will take care of you. .
  4. I am glad it is being lifted. People are criminals not the guns. If a person gets behind the wheel of a corvette drunk and kills somebody should we ban corvettes? Hell no.
  5. Should I get the extended warranty on my new ninja? Right now I have 1 year unlimited mileage. I can purchase 24 month-$280,36 month-$360,or 48 month for $440 all with unlimited mileage. I have 1 year to purchase either. Is this something that I should consider or should I pass on it. Any problem areas on these baby 250 ninjas? Thanks in advance.
  6. I am loving it so far althought that break in period is very hard to do. I have put almost 100 miles on it since friday. Didnt have much time to ride today because I worked from 5am-7pm tonight. I did wind her out to about 11,000 rpms (redline is 13,000 I believe)on the way home tonight just to see what kind of power it had. I know that isnt good for the break in but I figured once or twice wont hurt it too bad. (At least I hope not anyway!) 55 mph at 6,000 rpms... Thats a screaming little engine. I will tell you that that little thing handles like it is on rails. I will try to get some pics of the Shee and Ninja tomorrow. LOL I should say my Banshee and its Bitch!!
  7. I will get some pics but I will have to email them to someone to post. I still cant figure it out. Any takers on the pics??
  8. Nah its a 4 choke. Cant get too cocky on a baby 250..LOL
  9. Well I finally had to go buy a new bike. I know I am going to catch some heat over what I bought but anyway... Its a new 250 Ninja. Everybody told me I will be bored with it... We will see. It will run 14 second 1/4 mile,0-60 in 5.5 seconds and top out at 110. I dont need anything faster than that to ride back and forth to work. I am not out to race anybody. Let the thrashing begin...
  10. Yeah he is a good kid. The money he earns is from using my mower to cut grass. I think it is awesome for a child that young to already know that you have to work to get what you want. Most kids are lazy and want everything handed to them.
  11. My wife and kids went to an auction today while I was at work and when I got home my 9 year old son bought with his own money a lawn boy push mower. 2 stroke, electric start self propeled push-walk behind mower. $5.00 Yes five bucks... And he even got a craftsman leaf blower that was included. I know this is dumb but its a good time around here when my 9 year old son brings home another 2 stroke!!! I didnt even care that it wasnt a shee...I am a proud father!!!
  12. Glad to hear you werent more seriously injured. Hope you make a speedy recovery! Good luck!!
  13. I found all the paperwork where I bought my first nice car back in 89 right before I graduated high school and just wanted to know her fate. The vin# is JNIPB2458JU032286 1988 Nissan Sentra Sports Coupe (kind of like the Pulsar) No biggie. I was just wondering if she is still alive or not (althought I doubt it) and where she wound up at. I ran the numbers and it said 7 historys but I dont have a subscription. Thanks.
  14. Hell no. I always forget-leave my camera at home. I dont even carry a pack of cigs with me because I mess them up let alone my camera. It wouldnt matter anyway because I cant even figure out how to make my shee my avatar...I was worried about a BRUTAL 100 mile @ Hatfield-Mc Coy ride when I was asking about that..The ride I did on the tracks isnt shit as far as I am concerned. I would do that every weekend if I could. I feel any quad should do 100 miles on the railroad tracks as long as the owner puts forth any kind of care-maintenance on it. I am not too sure it was 100 miles but it was a long way. From Salisbury to Seaford is 25 on the road. Figure there and back (roadway) 50 miles. From Salisbury to Princess Anne is another 20 (road again) So add another 40. Plus we rode many trails and sand pits. Hell I dont know.It could very easily be more or less. All I know is that I had a blast!!!
  15. 7 mile ride long? LOL Hell I wouldnt even break my shee out of the garage for no less than a 10 mile ride. When we go for a long ride we usually start around 9am and ride til at least dark.Personally I like the long rides better than just messing around in one place. I love to explore I have found some interesting finds on those long rides. Many old cars in the middle of the woods, old houses, ect.
  16. The 4 chokes just filled at the pump. I carry a can on my sixpack rack.
  17. Nothing real bad Holyman. Had to plug a couple of tires on the ozark and 300ex hit a stump and tweaked his front rim a little.. Thats about it. Shee did great! Didnt get over 180 the whole day.Oh and I forgot to put my outterwear back on before we left so I had to pull the K&N 1 time to beat the dust and dirt out of it. Its amazing how much dirt and dust the outterwears trap. I love not having to clean my filter after every ride... Except this time..LOL
  18. You might want to try a couple of those chromed coffee cans they put on those import cars. I heard maxwell house works the best.. Sorry dude...couldnt resist.
  19. Welcome to the HQ. Wont be long until you will be ate up by the same disease we all have on here... Aint it great guys?? This is by far the best site on the net. There is a wealth of knowledge on here and any questions you have just ask. You can also perform a search because most everything has been covered. BTW you have to get you one of dem dare boost bottles. They are all the rave... J/K Just had to do it.. Welcome aboard..
  20. I finally got my shee's trailer straight and took her out yesterday. I bet we rode close to 100 miles. From Salisbury MD to Seaford DE. back down south to Princess Anne MD then back to Salisbury on the tracks hitting trails and pits along the way. Was 7 of us. Me,400ex,300ex,ozark 250,350 raptor, and 2 small dirt bikes. Needless to say I had to do alot of stopping and waiting.. Had a blast. I dont expect any replys to this. Just bored and wanted to share..
  21. I got a DWI on my shee last year riding the RR tracks. Was arrested, shee impounded. I lost my license for 4 months only because I refused to blow the brethalizer. The judge thought it was crazy and gave my 1 year unsupervised probation with no fines just court costs. (I know I got real lucky) My advice is to be honest and respectful and you should be alright. If you cant beat it ask for a PPJ (probation before judgenment). That means you will be on probation for a specified amount of time and if you dont get into anymore trouble it wont go on your record.Good luck and let us know how you make out.
  22. Probably not a twin cylinder either. It just has 2 exhaust valves and a pipe for each. I wouldnt fu(k with it myself. Buyer beware.....
