You want to use a plastic adhesive promoter, I think I saw em sellin it in spray cans at checker last time i was there, the idea behind it is the paint will stretch before it cracks and chips so if you roll your bike the time you spent making it look purdy wont be wasted. I used this paint in my sprayer hooked up to my compresser and it came very nice and you could beat the piss outta it b4 it started to come off. I bought it at space age, lots of colors to chose from.

Last trip I was out at Buttercup for 4 days and the wind was harsh, prolly 30-50 mph for a day and a half. I forgot the outterwears and my filters were caked in no time flat. I loaded 30 something beers up in my Toyota and let the air down to 6-7lbs. I got into some shit that had me thinkin bout callin the insurance co. I went into a huge bowl (huge for buttercup anyways) and killed 7 beers trying to get out going back and forth through the bowl trying to crest the top. But when you feel like drinking and kicking back you can't beat the truck for cruizin.

man last weekend i bailed tapped in 5th gear, fractured my skull in 2 different spots, got 6 staples in the back of my head and lost mucho skin on my leg and ass. the shee is all good it rolled once and stopped after runnin over my leg I rag-dolled about 100 yards from my bike b4 I stopped, gotta remember to strap my helmet next time So its looking like this trip will be the next time I hit the dunes and prolly the last time this season, Let's rock!!!

Its not that big of a deal, the 250r ran from 86-89 only 3 years and you can walk down my street and there is one in every other garage. the shee has ran from 87 to present and everyone and their mother has parts, complete bikes and other chit for days, stop making them tommorrow? f*ck it who cares, the banshee will never die, wasting your time tryin to get yamaha to keep making them is pointless the 2-strokes will be off the assembly line, at least in 4-wheelers, and theres not much that anyone can do about it. accept pick up those spare parts and keep em clean. My friend built a complete bike strictly off ebay, every last nut and bolt. By the time we run out of banshee parts we will be old and too fuckin beat up to give a rats ass about a banshee.

well he wants me to change my oil too and re-jet my bike so he can explain how and why I should run my bike like this. PP recomends 50:1 for their oil and I figure most synthetic oils are good at 50:1. He wants me to drain my gas and run yamalube 2-r at 32:1. But he is swearing that my bike will make more power with more oil!?!?! That is the question I really wanted answered, I figured performance shops or actual engine builders would have some things to say on this subject.

5 1/2 brandy new banshees or 1 brandy new 250r ??

I have always ran power plus @ 50:1 in all my bikes and never had a problem, a friend of mine who has built and ran his fair share of 2-strokes tells me I am crazy for running at that ratio. His thinking is that with more oil you get a better seal and make better compression, witch makes more power, witch makes sence. He's also saying that running more oil (32:1 at a min) and jetting up on your main, my bike will run better, make more power, and last twice as long. I have 6 friends with shees and we all run the PP @ 50:1 and the one guy telling me to change it up doesn't have a shee, but a strong backround with rz350's. Is what he telling me true and should I run more oil? Thanx Gene

I'll see what I can do, It's a bitch getting my friends to commit on a trip 4 months down the road, I'll talk to em cause with at least 4 of us, the trip would be much cheaper. No problem on the beer, or gas, just bring an assload of that jerky! I can round up a box of steaks for the trip too. I'll talk to my best friend with a rap-turd, he'll prolly be down to go and give us someone to roost on last time we got started we the roosting i had sand in my helmet all damn weekend

The fastest way from my house is to go up through Vegas (bout 5 1/2 hours) then go SW 130 miles to Dumont, so 7 1/2 hours give or take. I've been to Vegas so many times that the drive should fly by! Whats the elevation there?

No problem Ben, Feel free to crash at my place...I have a bunch of whips at my house so I can hook you up when you get here. If you bring a half ton we can caravan and I'll bring some 2-way radios so we can talk smack on the drive, Going 7 hours by myself might drive me insane, Or if you want to bring a trailer and ride together I can split gas money with you- whatever floats your boat or finds your lost remote I'll start putting some cash up for the trip after x-mas, the beer alone always puts me in the poorhouse

I'll be there for show! I'm not real sure how many I will be bringing with me but at the very least I will throw the shee in the back of my toyota and go by myself if I have to. Looks like there will be quite a few people from around the country going as well, it will be worth it to see everyones faces light up as we tear into the first huge bowl....I cant wait!
