Nyuk, you suggest that I part it out on ebay?

Hi, I've recently found that one of my buddies is putting his banshee up for sale, reason being that he "can't stand it anymore". It's a 1997 banshee, and has been... rode hard and put away wet a couple of times. It's beat, and needs a new motor. The top end is trash, and I'd be scared to use the bottom end after i've seen what this thing has gone through. The frame is good, and the swingarm, is good, needs one new a-arm, needs an axle, needs plastics, bars and seat are good, comes with toomey T5 pipes, and a few other little aftermarkets. $600 sound like a deal? I could probably get it fixed up and running for under 2 grand? I'm seeing it needs, Axle, Plastics, A-arm(s), motor (i'll inspect the bottom end and see if i can just get away with doing a top end job) but worst comes to worst it'd need a whole new motor. Toomey T5's, Boyesen Reeds, K&N's..... 310 main sound about right for the winter?(20-50 Degrees) at 640 feet above sealevel. Now what I need to narrow down is Needle Position, and What's stock for the airscrew? Thanks, JP

Well thing is i have a 1993 nissan pathfinder, black in perfect condition with 4x4 and brand new tires. Automatic, it's a nice car but i love the muscle cars. What do you guys think?

Yes night rider that was it, grand sport. It was really fast, had a 700 r4 overdrive... somethin like a 550 ci, suspension setup just right, and it still pulled wheelie's off of the line, i'm not sure what his rearend gear was. It was fast though. He also had a pro street s10... Wish i would have got some pictures now. I was really there to watch the 67 camaro i helped build (383 stroker, 580 hp, 4:11 gear, th350 street legal) ran alright put down some 12.40's and the other one was a 69 camaro (bored and stroke 427 to 440, 640 lift cam i think, 4:11 rearend, t10 4 speed, street legal, and a fast mother F-er) it put down low 11's and had a slipping clutch, and needed a new chip for the msd box... it's a 10 second car. Now i'm working on a 1986 monte carlo ss, just got all the frame painted and all the front end components back together, it's getting a frame-up Resto. Gonna be a show/drag car with a 383 and a fogger system, When i get some pictures i'll post them it's gonna look really good... By the way lol i'm 15 years old! I dunno when i first got into cars, but i like fell into em', it's a passion now lol. I'm lookin for a 67 or 68 camaro anyone have 1 up for sale? Or know anyone? Cya JP

Glock, About your buddy runnin 9.60's on motor and the bottle... This guy, that builds transmissions for us, has a buick, runs high 8's on motor alone... It was buicks verion of the chevelle, forget the name. About this whole thing about people beating people in an accord. it all really depends on the driver. The guy in the mustang shoulda been like "What's a clutch" if he got beat by a stock accord. That would suck. I dont know much about the new or old fords, i know i like the old old fastbacks, and i love the new ss camaros, and the 60's ss camaros. But i have to say that the new corvettes are totally bad ass i rode in one the other day and absolutely loved it. Has intake, some exhaust, Trans stuff. Ran well... I have always been a die hard chevy fan and always will be. I just dont think a new mustang can run with the new camaros. I've seen em' all run. Personally i feel if your going to drag race, build your own shit... dont go out there slap a bottle system on ur car and say u can race. Put time into it. This is how i feel. JP

i think the camaro, not only because i like them... but i think it's the driver that's gonna matter too, i mean if u go out there and have never drag raced in your life before, i mean sure ur gonna lose if the other guy has raced before, but the camaro i think is lower to the ground, less air drag... Tires matter too... umm some of the 86 camaro's came with a 350 tpi option... dunno if it's on this one or not. Depends on what car's babied more, lots of things have to do with the race other then the car tho, how YOU launch, so on and so on... Also i think the mustangs are heavier? Not sure on this tho JP

I agree that yamaha has things wrapped up i mean look at it... The raptor... The banshee, I'm not sure if they own the 4x4 though because, i dont remember who it was but a company was producing the 700 twin 4x4... I've never rode one of those though. As i can tell they have the Watercraft Series held down with that 1300, They make some of the best snowmobiles with the SRX 700 and the New snowmobile with the R1 motor in it, they've got somethin on the street bike series with the R1,and not even to mention the Dirt bike series with the YZ and the YZF! YZ 250F was bike of the year if i'm not mistaken? i mean they're an all around good manufacturer and i wouldnt buy anything but one.... Well maybe a ski doo, but i've had some trouble with those.... My vote goes for yamaha! Joe
