  1. Yes you do have an opinion, a foul one! So you're saying because he is a moderator he cannot have an opinion? Tyler has helped quite a few people on this forum, a lot more than you have contributed to this site. Just because he tells someone to cut out some childish BS doesn't make him this giant asshole everyone thinks he is...What do you think a moderator does? They make sure the forums retain their informational value and don't end up with retarded posts saying, "wow, this is an old post". The bottom line is, 04ShEeLE was asked to not bring up an old post to just say..."wow, this is old"....he threw a temper tantrum and decided to be childish and start bringing up LOTS of old posts just to be an ass...he even said he was doing it just to piss off Tyler. Tyler told him if he kept bringing up old posts for no informational reason, he's gonna delete the post. Then, everyone comes on her flaming Tyler for doing what he was supposed to do as a moderator...WTF If you all have a problem with the moderators then you should PM lee about it. Obviously Lee thought it was a wise idea (regardless of what you think) and decided to put people in charge that he felt would moderate this site the way it should be....It's funny because it wasn't too long ago everyone started bashing Tyler because he was "abusing his moderator privileges" ...he said the same thing then as he did now...if you have a problem with him, PM Lee. Considering that he's still a moderator after numerous complaints, it's pretty obvious that Lee didn't see anything wrong with how he was handling the situation. Moderators aren't supposed to be everyone's "pal"...they're supposed to clean up the garbage. Just because one moderator actually speaks his mind and tells you what he thinks doesn't mean he's "abusing his moderator privileges"...he's telling his opinion, which is his right being a member here. Just because he's a moderator doesn't mean he has to keep his opinion to himself so he doesn't hurt any of your feelings, poor babies. Ball swinging club....LOL, is that the best you could come up with?

Before you start buying jets to tune it you need to find out what's in there first. 2 strokes do kinda sound like they're "sputtering" a little at part throttle before the powerband kicks in, to me it sounds like you're just a tad rich from what you're describing. I wouldn't tell the mechanic to just slap a 300 main jet in there; you'll probably want to tell him what it's doing and tell him you think it's running rich. A good "general" rule to go by is sputtering = rich / bogging = lean. Depending on where the sputter or bog is on the throttle determines what aspect of the jetting you need to change. Idle/part throttle is your pilot jet. Mid throttle would be a needle adjustment. Full throttle would be your main jet. What premix are you running at what ratio? If your stator was the problem, I think it would be doing more than just sputtering....probably would not start or have trouble starting and then run like crap...lol
  7. Also try changing the spark plugs. Technically speaking you'll need to get a few sets anyhow to dial in your jetting but go ahead and change them out beforehand...so you'll have a "starting point". I agree with wes on the jetting recommendations he made; given they are stock carbs. I would lean more towards a jetting issue rather than electrical at this point. Also be sure that your air filter is clean when you jet the carbs, don't want to tune it for a dirty filter. Don't always take someone's word that the bike is "jetted"; for all you know they could have just slapped some bigger jets in there and called it jetted...not saying this is the case but very well could be Pull your plugs out and let us know what they look like, or better yet, take a pic so we can help you tune this booger The "slack" in your a-arms probably indicates that the bushings need to be replaced. They're pretty cheap and easy to change.

  9. Dude, you will spend a small fortune to pay someone to do it. The pipe and jetting is EASY to do...Pipe takes about 10 minutes to install and jetting it isn't much more. You only have to take 1 screw out the bottom of the carb to get to the main jet, and I believe it's only 3 screws at the top of the carb to change the needle. I've never adjusted the valves in mine and I've put a solid 40-50 hours on the 450...runs perfect. You can do it freestyler!!!!

  15. I'd say if you're not running through water in those trails I'd pull that airbox lid and bump your main jet up one size...that'll help a little for some more power and no money spent. The NOSS head will help give you more bottom end by raising the compression, and also will keep you running cooler. Reeds will give you crisper throttle response. I'd get the head with 20cc domes, reeds, and then advance your timing 4 degrees....then you could get a good woods port and upgrade your carbs; that would be a real nice improvement and the T5's react well with portwork

You keep complaining about how much money you're out..Well, if you hadn't of chosen irresponsible people to do your leg work, and actually had one smidgen of customer service in you, Rocket pipes "could" have been huge for you. But, the bottom line is...you made very poor decisions on how you ran your business, and now it's costing you. Plain and simple. If you actually gave a shit about what your customers think, you would have already sent out that other set and squashed this whole mess. These people put faith in you to deliver what you claim to be selling, and send you their hard earned money up front...only to get some mismatched pipes and silencers that look like pigeons shit all over them. I don't give a fuck if you didn't know they were shipped out that way, it's your business, it's your responsibility. If one of your "employees" made the mistake, it should cost them, not the customer. You can whine about me "not knowing the whole story" all you want...there's enough posts about your work and customer service to know how you run your business. You need to just ship this guy his silencers that he paid for; he trusted you up front, there is no reason you shouldn't trust him to mail the black ones out...I can totally understand why he wouldn't ship you the silencers first, you'd disappear for a couple months and then come back making up some pathetic excuse about some crazy event that prevented you from keeping up your business....and expect everyone to pity you and say "it's ok". If you sent someone 500 bucks for pipes and you got some shit in the mail (6 months later), you'd be pissed too. Be a man and own up to your responsibilities for once. You'll never have an ounce of respect around here until you do.
